Frábært hótel í alla staði. Mjög kurteist og hjálpsamt starfsfólk, mjög hreint og snyrtilegt. Skipt um handklæði á hverjum degi.

Going to Bangkok as two semi-budget travelers, we didn't consider this as cheap, but as many hostels were of the same price range, we decided to take the hotel, mostly for the chance of a good bed, more security and proximity to Khao San Road. Apart from the WiFi being a bit shaky (but to same level as many other hotels in South East Asia) and dirty slippers in the bathroom, everything was pretty much sufficient to our standards. The bed was comfortable enough, the hotel staff was friendly and more than ready to help with anything, a convenience store was in the same street and also an Internet Cafe. No problem finding it coming from Khao San Road, going up the street from KSR (western end), the hotel being placed on the opposite bank of the next canal - merely a five minute walk. Only downside was, being a backpacker, we missed staying with all the other backpackers on Khao San Road, but returned anyway for a second stay a week later, equally as enjoyable.

Nice staff - skytrain is just 3 mins away, so the location is solid. Breakfast was just fine. Good price. So, I'm pretty happy after that one night stay.

“Downtown” refers to a cluster of swanky entertainment and shopping complexes radiating out from Siam Square in the Puthumwan district. The square features everything from designer boutiques, to cafés, banks, and bookshops, and is across from other shopping centers such as Siam Discovery, Siam Center, and Paragon. Jim Thompson’s Thai House Museum is a must-see. The skytrain provides convenient access to all.

The Hotel is very central if you want to spend time being dragged around shops as I was, there are very few bars and good restaraunts in the area that we could find apart from the shopping centre food halls, and apart from the Hotel restaraunt which was good but expensive, pehaps they are there and we could not find them. "Condition of the room"
The Check In Counter was at 23F and we need ed to change lifts every time when we went out and came back. We checked in at 5 pm in the afternoon, but the room was available at 7 pm. "Centara Grand - Good location and nice views"
Located within the busiest part of the city the hotel towers above the surrounding area, within easy walking distance of the metro and a very large shopping centre. The food is excellent and the hotel lobby, restaurants and rooms feel very spacious and have excellent views of the constant traffic jams below which is the only downside to the hotel, […] the traffic outside is unbelievable and moves slowly all the time. Although I was there only 38hours I made full use of the bar, pool and restaurants and I even went into the shopping centre as it was jam packed full of shops and restaurants too, its just a shame the hotel elevators bring you out in the middle of the car park and not in the shopping centre. Staff were friendly, despite getting the booking wrong it was quickly resolved and the concierge recognised me from a previous visit which was a nice feeling. Lesa meira

Housekeeping was not up to the mark. Throughout my entire stay of 4 nights I was not able to make any outgoing calls from my room. I had complained on the Ist day and it was attended to just before I left. It took 1 hour and 2 phone calls for the TV to work. Turn down service was done only on 1 night. "Great location, marginal hotel"
The location could not be more convenient. The dual elevator rides to get from the ground floor to the room is time consuming and sometimes the elevators were all full. The room was small and the fit and finish of the rooms looked shoddy. My guess is they will not hold up well after a few years. The pool and gym were excellent. Our room was frequently […] not cleaned even though we left the room all day. We did not realize until the last day that there is a button you are supposed to press when you leave the room in order to have them clean it. It would be nice to be told this in advance. The food in the restaurants was so so. I did like the cafe on the ground floor for snacks. Fortunately, there are many excellent places to eat in the surrounding area. Arrived at 2:00 PM and was checked into room. Arrived at room to find cleaning staff inside. Had to bring bags back to front desk for storage and wait for room. Many items broken in room. Water faucet in bath broken, both chairs in room broken. General condition of room was poor. Have been to many hotels in BKK and this was the worst.

We arrived at 4pm, and they still told us that the room was not ready and needed to wait till 6pm......Personally I think the usual check in time is around 3pm. One day, we went out at 11am and back at 7pm and found the room was still not cleaned up yet......@@. The service was below-standard as what I expected. We were absolutely blown away by the Centara Grand! The service is beyond phenomenal, sipping drinks poolside and playing tennis on the 26th floor overlooking Bangkok is an experience in an of itself, the restaurant and bars on the 55th and 56th floors are phenomenal with breath taking views and Connie at World Travels in the lobby can set up any tours […] you desire. Hôtel en plein centre du Word trade center et des autres centre commerciaux. L'hôtel est splendide, les restaurants ont une vue imprenable sur Bangkok au 55 ème étage. Acceuille très professionnelle et recommandation sur les chambres exécutives...
"Ett greit hotell for noen få dager"
Hotell Centara Grand ligger på Chaweng Beach som har en del bølger og en noe dyp strand. Det rommet jeg bestillte hvar ett premium delux rom, som IKKE sto til forventningene. A/c sluttet å virke på natt nr to så jeg ble flyttet til suitten mitt på natten. Suitten derimot hvar stor og flott men, bar fortsatt perg av å være noe slitt... Sengene på hotellet […] hvar også noe kortte.De normale rommene er ikke vært prisen man må betale for det. Strømmen gikk også flere ganger om dagen. Maten på hotellet hvar litt kjedelig samt overpriset i forhold til området rundt. Lesa meira

"Sehr schönes Hotel"
Das Hotel Centara Grand ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mitten in Bangkok. Bei der Buchung sollte man jedoch darauf achten, dass man nicht ein Zimmer erhält mit Verbindungstür (Familienzimmer). Leider hatte ich sehr laute Nachbarn, die gefühlte 24 Std. aktiv waren. Man konnte jedes Wort verstehen und ich musste um 5 Uhr morgens an ihre Tür klopfen und sie […] bitten, mich doch noch ein paar Studen schlafen zu lassen! Ansonsten kann ich das Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen. Es liegt sehr zentral und die Bar im 52. Stock ist ein absolutes Muss. Zudem liegt die Skytrain Station nur ein paar Minuten entfernt. Sehr gute Küche, sehr freundliches Personal. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (grosses Shopping Center) in unmittelbarer Nähe Lesa meira

Kanonhotell med världens utsikt. Fina rum med härligt poolhäng på 2e våningen. Fantastisk restaurang på 55e våningen, både mat och utsikt. Lite krångligt att hitta till hotellet dock. Ligger i kanten på ett stort köpcentrum och skyltningen var under kritik.

环境一流，服务好，就算是英文不怎么懂都可以简单进驻酒店，不过就是酒店入住时要把预订的该酒店的单拿给他们看，现在很多酒店都免了这个程序，那天就是忘记了，还好我在工作人员的带领下重新打印了，不然就麻烦了，真的多谢那天懂中文的那位服务小姐，其他真的服务环境很好很好。

Hotel is in good location specific for shopping. However, have to impove the standard of cleaning for the room to meet 4-star. Also, room decorated a bit old fashion which make people feel like in a karaoke room. Overall, is not worth for the price.

The hotel is very good, has an excellent location next to the biggest shopping malls in the city. Open air swimming pool on the 24th floor has a special atmosphere. The highest Sky bar I have ever been - floor 54 ! Very attentive personell, good cuisine - offernig both Thai and continetal food. It is not possible to find any negatives!!!

原本是下午2点Check-in的，结果前台说房间还没清洁好，让我等到2点半，于是出去逛了圈，3点到但还是没好，一直到3点半才进的房，希望以后能在这方面有所改进。

"Neither a business nor a leisure hotel"
it obviously wants to attract both leisure and business travelers, but turnout it neither serves both. Apart from this, overall experience is good, great location, great technology in room, great bathroom, great view, great swimming pool. Stunning view from my room on the 39th floor. Enjoy Bangkok by night when taking a bath in the round bath tube, Room is very clean and LCD TV made the stay a convenient experience. The pool on the 26th floor is small, but you will enjoy a beautiful view of Bangkok! Absolutely worth a stay. Price is reasonable as well.
