"A very clean room!"
The hotel appears nearly new. When I first opened the door to my room, I expected that "cleaning smell" but there was nothing. No smell at all. I slept like a baby.

Had a great time in chattanooga, TN. We stayed here at the hotel. Every thing was clean and check in was fast and great! The breakfast was your typical bagel, muffins, water, juice, coffee, fruit, eggs, sausage, gravy, toast, biscuits etc.........it was good. To the negative part. I paid advance for the room, but after arriving I was told a $200 hold […] would have to be placed on my card until I check out and it would take up to 72hrs before the hold would be released. "Holiday Inn Express & Suites--Hixson"
This hotel provided a clean, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable rate. Yes, it is near a gun shop and a liquor store. Big deal. It's also close to several other stores and restaurants and is located in an older commercial area, not a residential neighborhood. It is neither a new hotel nor a major resort, but it provided a nice place for our family […] to stay on our way to Florida. I never felt unsafe staying here. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The only drawback is that it is not near the interstate, but I would consider staying here again. Lesa meira

"Holiday Inn Express Inn and Suites, Hixson, TN"
Everyone was very helpful. When we arrived, they changed our two rooms so that we could have adjoining rooms (there were 4 of us girls) and we had a blast. Breakfast was good too.

"SHOWING ITS AGE"
Sadly this property is not being maintained. It needs renovation. Have used this location for over 4 years (1-2/yr). This year the TV was snowy, the carpet was stained in room and hall, the pool chemical smell (from 1st floor) pervades up to 3rd, One of three exercise machines was broken, the exercise room very very hot. This was the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The breakfast was great and I loved the personal touch the staff had. What great employees!!

"clean"
My family and I stayed for a couple days to see the sights in Chatanooga. It wasn't in a great neighborhood, It was between a liquor store and a gun store. Other than that, the room was clean. They have a clean indoor pool with hot tub that flowed into it, so the water was real warm. The desk clerk was real friendly. They bake cookies and have them […] in the lobby from check in time to 11 PM. Everytime we went to get some they were out because some kids kept getting them all. I called the front desk at 1045 and ask if they would be making any more and she made us some especially for us. It took us around 10 minutes to get to the places we wanted to visit, so it wasn't too far out of the way. I Lesa meira

Check-in went without incident and the room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good. Parking lot lighting could be improved on side of building.

I have stayed here a few times this fall for work. This last visit I was very dissapointed in some of the staff. I woke up at 4am to get in some studying for a registry exam I had to take in a couple days. I came down to the empty breakfast room so I would not disturb the person I was staying with. I was the only one in the room for over an hour. When […] I first came in the room the TV was on but the volume was low so I was able to study. Two different staff members came into the room and changed the station and turned the volume way up without even asking me if I was watching it. It was really rude. The young man who checked us in was very helpfull, we had documents that needed printed for the next morning and he was very generous and offered us lots of paper so we could print for free in the business center. The room was very clean and the staff we ran into in the halls was very nice. I left my car keys in the business center and the staff returned […] them to me when they saw me searching there for them the next morning. This was a very polite and customer oriented staff. "The Holiday Inn Express hotel in Hixson Tn"
We stayed for three nights. Room was comfortable and clean. The service was good. The continental breakfast was only so so. Like so many of the other hotel/motels we have stayed at. Over all a nice place to stay.

Stayed only one night while on a Hot Rod Tour. Very good compared to some other brands.
"New feel, but closer inspection shows problems for future"
I stayed at this hotel based upon recommendations from several sources. I was overall pleased with the hotel, however, it appears that the hotel is already showing signs of age with cracks in paint and damage to moldings that haven't been repaired. I even noted in my room several ceramic tiles missing underneath the trendy sink. While overall it met […] my expectations, if sufficient maintenance isn't completed this hotel will not be as nice in 5 years....I also had 3 instances of hot water going cold for 5 minutes, when i contacted hotel staff they said this is normal.....well not at any other hotels I have stayed at... We thought that the room was great, it met all our needs. And enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay close to the Tennessee Aquarium. It was a great price.

This hotel was great. It was comfortable, clean and very pretty. The only thing I had a problem with was the maid service. Check in time at this hotel is 2:00 p.m. We arrived at 3:30 and we were informed that our room wasn't ready yet because they were short staffed, which I can completely understand. However, every time I saw a maid, they were on their […] cell phone! They only left us one towel after cleaning our room and when I found the maid the next day, she didn't have any towels to give us so I had to go to the front desk and she didn't have any towels either. "Good Value"
The quality of this hotel was a little better than expected due to the relatively low cost. The room was large and well maintained, the service was adequate, and the breakfast was definitely a plus. However, it still has the feel and smell of a hotel - musty and dark.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The bed was made and you could tell they took time to make everything look appealing. I was impressed because the surrounding neighborhood was sorta beat down but the hotel was in a word...spectacular! I would recommend this to friends. Me and my cousin stayed here and will stay again.

"outstanding hotel"
the pool was clean, breakfast was great with hot choices daily, close to an array of restaurants. about 20 minutes to lookout mountain. the evening clerk was very nice and courteous. making fresh cookies nightly. room was clean.
