This is a pretty new property, as such it's really nice. But, their WiFi internet is TERRIBLE! Very reminiscent of dial up days. I could barely work. Gmail had difficulty loading and recommended their site for slow connections. The "welecome" screen even warned that "high session" sites like Hotmail, Facebook and others may be blocked. I had nothing […] literally blocked, but the data rate was so slow, it might as well have been blocked. Otherwise, the hotel was great! Lesa meira

I've stayed here several times now hoping they will improved but there is no sign of that happening. Still no manager. Breakfast always leaves a lot to be desired. This time the pancake maker was still broken (for crying out loud, get a waffle maker like every other hotel!), orange juice dispenser was broken, fresh fruit was available only on Tuesday, […] and the bread is ALWAYS stale! I don't think they realize how important little things like that are. Many people I saw at breakfast were pretty put out by it. Oh, and if you're looking for the attendant to refill anything you may have to wait a little while because it's also her responsibility to clean the hotel common areas. And then there were the stained sheets this trip (which is the first time I've encountered this). Sigh... I think it's time to go elsewhere until things improve. Lesa meira

I'm not even sure why the bother to offer breakfast, the food leaves a lot to be desired. The pancake maker is broken more than it works (just replace it with a waffle maker like every other hotel!). Good thing you toast the bread because it's stale (every day!). Very seldom is there fresh fruit because they only get a shipment once a week. Bottom line... […] don't plan to start your day with a delicious, nutritious breakfast. Oh, and don't plan to speak about it with the manager - there isn't one. Was here last month and the breakfast was pretty good. Not this time... no fresh fruit, no cinnamon rolls, and the pancake maker was broken. Hope you like toast.

The stay was comfortable, clean, and convenient. They took care with with the breakfast, be it one on a diet and one with a sweet tooth, our needs were met which was a great way to start your day.

Clean sheets, clean bathroom, nothing to complain about. Only 2 bath towels in the room though so you'll need to go to the front desk to get more if needed.

The hotel and staff were great. The only downside to the stay was the amenties around the hotel. There is alot of road construction around there and there aren't any nice restaurants or anything for that matter within walking distance.

The power outlet was broken in our bathroom. As a result, the hair dryer did not work. We thought it was the dryer itself that was broken, and the manager immediately replaced the dryer.

It's what you expect from a holiday inn. Service was great, rooms were average, breakfast was average. Our huge king bed had 2 pillows when we walked in so I had to request more. Also, the toilet has no lid! Overall, it was fine.

We were just in town for one night but were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The staff was great and the room was clean. We did not hear any noise from the highway or any other rooms. Would stay here again if in town.

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. The facilities are beautiful. The hotel has several large public areas that are nicely decorated and inviting. The pool area is beautiful with comfortable furniture and a resort-like feel. The hotel is not in downtown Salado, but the area behind the hotel is a picturesque rural neighborhood great […] for walking. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help me when a family emergency arose back home. I was stuck in Salado without a car and needed to get to Dallas immediately. The front desk clerk called car rental places in nearby Killeen/Belton while I packed. I will definitely stay here again! Lesa meira

Quiet, comfortable, friendly staff. We were on the highway side and had people in rooms on both sides and above - but our room was still very quiet. Comfortable bed. Only complaints were slow internet and archaic televisions that took forever to change the channel, but we didn't spend much time in the room so it wasn't a deal-breaker. All else was  […] good. very scratchy sheets with "pills' on them. Felt like very old sheets. Not a good night of sleep to say the least.

The Hotel was very clean, I especially liked that the hallway stays lighted during the night. It gives me a sense of security.

Hotel was descent for the cost per night however, the two women at front desk were not friendly at all and ended up being extremely loud, slamming utility room doors next to my room and being loud walking through hallway, waking me up at 2:30 in the AM. I wouldn't not recommend this hotel, although I will not be staying there again.

The rooms were clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The complimentary breakfast was not bad. Me and my wife stayed on a Wednesday night and practically had the hotel to ourselves. Very satisfied with our stay and will stay there again.

When I asked about applying this stay to American Airlines mileage, they were not able to do so. I expected to be able to add this expense to get AA miles, so that was the only disappointment with this stay. I don't know whether it was because I bought with hotels.com, but they said they normally can apply the stay to get AA mileage credit.

Loved the hotel, thought it was reasonably priced. Customer service was excellent. The shower smelled of mold, that was a disappointment.

Booked it for myself and my family for a Salado shopping trip. Everyone commented on the hotel noting the appearance and cleanliness. Got extra towels immediatley upon request. We could not have had a better experience.
