The heart of the city, Stare Mesto's historic buildings are splendidly preserved. The focal point is the cobbled main square, on which stand the Jan Hus Monument, the Old Town Hall and its astronomical clock, and the Gothic spires of Our Lady of Tyn. "Good Hotel"
Good basic, friendly hotel in an excellent and convenient location.
"Just great..."
The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the breakfast with variety of tasty food in beautiful dining room. The only thing we didn't like was that we've been told to wait for the room when we arrived in hotel because the room wasn't ready. Then after some time we asked for other room and we received even better one. We thought receptionist […] should offer us this from the beginnig that we didn't have to ask about it. But this was just a detail and all receptionist were so helpful and we give big 5 to each of them :) Lesa meira
"Hotel Royal Esprit - excellent location near all!!"
Everyone working here was very nice and helpful with everything from currency exchange to directions to near by sight seeing locations. The hotel is very centrally located near all of the must see sights and shopping locations. During my stay I was able to walk to all of the city's great sights.
"Excellent location, excellent value for your money"
Very nice hotel walking distance from Prague's old town main square. The room was clean and cozy and quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was also very nice, but oriented to European customers (i.e. do not expect pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, tropical fruits or rice porridge). The location is perfect.

The hotel has seen better days--it looks run down and the rooms are small. But the location is excellent, walking distance to the many sights and the main train terminal. Also, free wifi. It really is not much more than a crash pad.

The hotel is well located in the old town and was perfectly adequate for our needs. We were shown to a good sized room with a balcony and a spectucar roof top view across the old town. The room allocated to us was an accidental upgrade and not the one originally intended for us having booked through Hotels.com. "just ok"
Room was nice. Functional . Close to everything. But, needed to leave window open to get air (it was a warm later September). Noisy at times. No wireless internet and unable to use their wired internet in my room. They had excellent wireless on the 5th floor. I only needed15 minutes of internet service a day (to catch up with work). Bummer that I had […] to trek up to the fifth floor and of course wasn't able to use smart phone in the hotel unless on 5th floor. But it's Prague, didn't spend alot of time in the hotel. No shower or shower curtain. Took some practice to shower (spray) and not flood the bathroom. Price was competitive, but next time I would try to find something else. Lesa meira
"Terrible Place"
If you want a hot room (in the summer) and unfriendly staff stay at the Royal Esprit. My wife and I arrived to a room that was about 105F (40C) and the air conditioning was a joke. I didn't sleep well because the bed was hard as a rock and it was so hot. In addition, the reception staff was unhelpful and ridiculous. When I spoke to the receptionist […] about the heat her response was everyone is hot. Funny thing was in the lobby where the receptionist was it was a cool 70F (21C). Ridiculous!!! Lesa meira
"Close to all the must-see sights =]"
Good hotel, friendly staff but had some sort of strange blood like stains on our sheets that were never changed while we were there also the breakfast wasn't the nicest and not in any way suitable for vegetarians. Bohemia Bagel is just around the corner though! Other then that great location and overall good hotel.
"bad service"
I travel extensively in Europe and the US and I would not stay here again. They gave us a smoking room and they are very helpful and keen to "sell" tourist products that they are obviously getting commission from. For other things, they are abrupt and don't want to help - they refused to call a taxi for us unless we used their company which would charge […] significantly more. The employees smoke a lot in the building. There are MANY nice hotels to stay in a similarly good location with much better condition, service and room comfort in this price range, so try finding somewhere else! Lesa meira
"Good location but no shower curtains!"
Like the title says this hotel is in a great location in Prague. It is very close to the city center which was very nice. Another thing that was very helpful was that it was near a grocery store and so we could buy snacks and not have to worry about eating out and buying drinks all of the time. To be clear about its location it is near Jacob's Church […] which is behind the Tyn Church. The breakfast was standard European "continental breakfast" which may be a shock to some because it is not what is served at the Best Western. We think that the hotel was previously all smoking, no shock there, but the smell still lingered and bothered one of the party. Overall a good hotel if you are not seeking something fancy in Prague! "Hotel Jakubska - Old Town, Prague, Czech Repub"
Hotel is located in the Old Town. The rooms are large and decorated with Art Deco highlights. There is no air conditioning, but a fan was provided. We stayed in mid-June so the air temperature was comfortable at night. The hotel was fairly close to the train station and public transportation. We were affected by a train strike and the hotel employee […] Vladimir was very helpful in assisting us with alternate travel arrangements. The only disappointing things were that the attached restaurant seemed to be a hang-out spot at night. It could get noisy throughout the night. The other thing was that the ceiling paint was hanging in spots over the bathtub. The rest of the bathroom was in fine shape. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers. Lesa meira

"Hotel Esprit - a quiet surprise"
this hotel a 10 minute walk to OLD TOWN and 1 block from the Metro ,unfortunately we had to find out on our own. the staff knows little english and has no knowledge of where anything is. the room was spacious but the beds were hard, europeans do not know what a pillowtop mattress is . the air conditioner does not cool too much . they have baths but […] no shower but everything was very clean . we had room 52 on top floor and it was quiet .the breakfast was plentiful with a combination of hot and cold foods . i would recommend staying here . if you want to take the metro , go left at the front door and walk straight towards the market (Milka)and cross the street ,the metro is to your right. its called Namesti Republici . buy a 1 or 3 day ticket and go everywhere on bus,tram or metro for 1 price. its a great deal. "Location, location, location"
This hotel is about location and great value for money. The building is a rather plain, in contrast with the old town feel, with an art deco interior but more importantly the staff is very friendly and efficient and you will love the ability to walk to every major tourist site within minutes. We were fortunate to have one of their largest rooms on the […] 4th floor which was more like a suite with two bathrooms. It made the whole stay feel special. "Hotel Royal Esprit - close to Old Town Square"
Hotel Royal Esprit was 3 mins walking distance from Old Town square where we enjoyed the xmas markets, restaurants, sights and local sight-seeing tour operators. The hotel itself was basic but very clean and the staff were helpful. I would recommend staying there as a means of seeing Prague's sights.

"Very good hotel"
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, and were very satisfied. The room was big and comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. The only problems was that there was no Bath curtain, and we got twin beds attached instead of queen size bed. The breakfest was very good and diverse. The location was perfect. two minute walk from the old town square, and on […] the other side from Namesti Republiky, and paladium mall, metro, tram and a big supermarket (Albert). "Excellent Value"
Excellent value hotel. The location is close to everything. Only the particular block across from the hotel is a graffiti-covered building (possibly under renovation), but otherwise a beautiful neighborhood within the old city, walking distance to train station and Karlův Most. "Great value, perfect location, really nice people!"
Loved the hotel, the rooms were extremely spacious, bed was very comfortable, extremely clean and it was in a perfect location. I couldn't be happier with the value for the money...it's a steal for the level of the hotel and is nice because it isn't as big as some of the neighboring hotels and has more charm but without compromising the level of service […] and amenities etc. Lesa meira
"Close to Old Town Square, but noisy in the summer."
The hotel is on a quiet street. However, when it is warm and the windows must be kept open it is quite noisy due to clubs in the area. I don't know if there are 'back' rooms, but ask for one. CNN was the only English tv station, but it wasn't working during our stay and the desk clerk sounded annoyed when I asked when it would be working. Breakfast […] was included and wonderful, with multiple fresh choices. Totally enjoyable breakfast. There is only a tub with hand held shower, but no curtain so each morning's shower resulted in an entirely wet bathroom. A few changes could have enhanced my visit. Siisti hotelli mutta ilmaistointi ei toiminnut (oliko edes ilmastointia?) En olisi halunnut asua siellä kesällä.
Hotellets beliggendhed er perfekt, det fås ikke bedre. Det er tæt på alt, som udgangpunkt til udflugtsmål, og om aftenen tæt på spisesteder, teater, ølstuerne, det hele er lige omkring dig.

Hôtel proche du centre ville. La chambre est confortable et spacieuse. Le quartier est tranquille et le personnel serviable. Pas de reproches à faire.
"pratico e centrale"
Hotel un po "agee" ma pulito ed ordinato, camere ok, (magari con un cuscino in piu') , Colazione abbondante e variegata . tranquillo di notte e di giorno.. perfetto per la visita a piedi della citta .. unico neo , non c'e' wi-fi free nelle camere., e il riscaldamento non e' facila da governare ...

"Hotel Royal Esprit - Superb beliggenhed"
Gedignt hotel med super-central beliggenhed. Godt værelse - der er, hvad du har brug for og fint morgenbord. Det var "good value for money". Jeg vil med fornøjelse anbefale det til andre, og vender gerne selv tilbage, hvis det bliver aktuelt.

Wir hatten ein Super Eck- Zimmer - gross und komfortabel. Parken ist ziemlich teuer 600 Kc pro Nacht, ansonsten alles Perfekt. WLAN fehlt.

一人旅だったので、繁華街から近く、プラハ本駅にも歩いて行ける立地は最高でした。 レセプションは少し冷たかったけど、 チェックアウト後もバッグを置いてもらえたり、大変便利でした。 部屋もすごく使いやすい清潔なとこで満足しています。

A 5 mn à pied de la place principale et des monuments du centre de Prague. Réception serviable, bon service. Les chambres sont grandes. Petit déjeuner correct. Un petit peu tristounet (en hiver)
"Non vale la pena"
di positivo ha solo la posizione. L'hotel è vecchio, al piano terreno c'è un ristorante cinese che si occupa di effettuare anche la colazione, e si vede con quali risultati. Le camere non sono pulite a dovere, la moquette andrebbe cambiata, per non parlare dei coprilenzuola che sono evidentemente macchiati. Il bolliacqua era sporco. Il wi-fi c'è solo […] agli ultimi piani, e il pc messo a disposizione dei clienti è a pagamento. Il riscaldamento non è regolabile e le tende sono così sottili che il sole passa. Non lo consiglio assolutamente se non per il prezzo e la posizione. Lesa meira

Todella hyvällä paikalla, vanhan kaupungin keskellä. Siistit huoneet ja hyvä huonepalvelu. En voi valittaa mistään, suosittelen! :)

"Super greit hotell, rimelig og veldig sentralt."
Helt greit hotell. Ingen super standard men helt ok til den prisen vi fikk. Frokosten var ikke noe å skryte av, men det kan hende det var en typisk sjekkisk frokost, og da kan man vel ikke klage. Veldig sentralt og fint. Hyggelig betjening. Anbefaler dette hotellet til de som har prioritet å være mest mulig ute av hotellet og oppleve byen.
Ba om en taxi i resepsjonen. Da taxien kom viste det seg for å være en "privatbilist" med en bil i svært dårlig stand. Han kjørte oss til bussstasjonen og forlangte dobbel pris av det som det kostet fra busstasjonen til hotellet. Svært dårlig service fra hotellet

Stor stor tilfredshed herfra - lige i centrum, med skønne værelser, fin morgenmad & sød service i reception - kan varmt anbefales.
