"Gettysburg Get-A-Way!!"
We stayed at the Eisenhower Hotel during a weekend getaway in Gettysburg. We found it to be one of the best that we had stayed in and are already planning another trip back. Can't wait to try out the sports complex next to the hotel on our next trip. Everything from the front desk clerk to the host at the restaurant we incredibly welcoming and nice. […] There were two down falls:1) there was no frig in the room. 2) The hotels.com site said that it was pool side, which many of the rooms are, but ours was not. Lesa meira
"older hotel, not maintained"
While the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable ( we stayed in Eisenhower I), the sliding glass doors to the patio of both rooms had defective seals, allowing moisture to condense within the panes. One of the doors could not be opened without it going off its track, and the door frame itself was falling out. The restaurant on premises was closed […] by 9:00AM. Water in tub was scalding hot, and the shower control was so stiff, that movement of a millimeter meant the difference between burning hot water or cool shower. "Eisenhower Hotel in Gettysburg"
Although this facility is somewhat dated (think 1970s), we found it to be comfortable and convenient. Because of low occupancy, some services, such as the lounge, were not open. The fitness center was disappointing, but that was not why we were there. Overall, this hotel was a good bargain.
There web site said there was a lounge, con breakfast and restaurant. They where there, however nothing open in the winter. Next time I will call.

"Gettysburg Trip Haunted Attractions"
Great Hotel. Very nice. Very clean and minutes away to our destination. Would definitely stay there next time we are in Gettysburg
"Leave that place"
We were totally shocked at the shabby and dirty apperance of this facility. It needs to be either torn down or totally gutted and remodeled and updated. We left and went to a modern facility.

"A little tired, but comfortable and clean"
You'll never confuse this with a fancy resort hotel, but for a brief stay in Gettysburg, it was a perfectly fine place. King room was actually quite large, with a separate sitting area. We paid a bit less for one weekend night during Gettysburg College Parent's Weekend, than the boosted rates some others in town charged on that very busy weekend. "Eisenhower Convention Center, close to history"
The hotel is not far from Gettysburg College, so location is good. Staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel is dated and room had a very prominent odor that smelled like PineSol. The room was comfortable, large and quiet. All in all, a nice hotel.

THIS PLACE WAS A DUMP. WE HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS CAUSE THE BATHROOM WAS MOLDY AND THE ROOM STUNK. THERE IS NO JACUZZI-ITS A KIDS PEE POOL WITH BUBBLES. THIS PLACE WAS DISGUSTING. OUR PILLOWS WERE DIRTY-SHEETS WERE STAINED-PLACE WAS NOT KEPT UP. DOGS EVERYWHERE. POOP ALL OVER. NIGHTMARE
"Clean but Old"
this hotel is in dire need of updating. The decor hasn't been done over in 30 years. You know the hotel is old when the bathrooms still have formica tops and in the wall there is a slot for men to dispose used razor blades. The counter also has a bottle opener mounted on it. The hotel is clean but OLD. We enjoyed the lounge but did not eat at the hotel […] so I can't comment on the food. "Convenient for Gettysburg"
Overall, a reasonable hotel. Not may options in Gettysburg but this was adequate. The room was a nice size although the air conditioning really didn't work well. The rooms are a bit dated but were clean and the beds were comfortable.
"Eisenhower Hotel - avoid it if you can"
Check in took forever. 2 lightbulbs out in room - 1 with piece off. Chairs stained and tattered enough that you didn't want to sit in them. Room smelled bad enough that we didn't want to eat in there. Beds were hard. Lamps and blow dryer were dusty. People swimming in pool right outside our room were loud until 10:30 pm. No hair conditioner and when […] I asked for it , I was told it would be delivered by housekeeping. When it never arrived, I gave up and just shampooed without it. "Don't stay in the Eisenhower I building"
If you have to stay at the Eisenhower Hotel and Conference center, you must stay in the Eisenhower II building. Our first two rooms in the Eisenhower I building smelled of dog urine so bad, we were about to leave when the clerk put us in a room in the Eisenhower II building. It was great! No dogs allowed in building II. Of course, all the amenities […] such as the restaurant and pool were in building I. The road is closed with a bridge out so you have to take a roundabout way to get to the hotel in the first place. Lesa meira
"One night stay"
The Eisenhower staff was extremely friendly and helpful. However, the hotel needs an overhaul. The bathrooms are outdated, our towel rack fell down, the shower had scalding hot water when only turned 1/2 way to hot then was intermittently freezing during the shower, and the coffee pots need to be replaced. Overall the place was as clean as it could […] get, but it is quite old. The parking lot spaces only accomodate a compact car such as a mini and it is poorly configured. Be aware there are no elevators in the main building. I would recommend only for a one night stay when all you need someplace to lay your head. The price was reasonable. Lesa meira

Place was OK but the rug in the room was either dirty or just stained. Either way, it should be cleaned or replaced. Makes the whole room look bad. Also, the hair dryer is weak and should be replaced with a strong one.

This hotel is a great place to stay if you are seeking a quiet place just outside of Gettysburg. The grounds are probably a wonderful chance for walking and being outside; but it was raining the night I stayed there. The hotel is a little shabby; but safe and clean.

The decor of this hotel was a little dated but was fairly clean. The staff was very pleasant and accomodatomg. For the price of the room I could not be dissapointed. I would only have been happier if the hotel was in downtown Gettysburg but you get what you pay for. Although It was in a nice location directly adjacent to the historical battlefields

Very old building, nice staff..comfortable room for the price...but doors weren't secure, things were not clearly labeled for parking or getting around building..very odd layout.
Close to historic attractions and downtown Gettysburg. Grounds were lovely and well maintained. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Dinner was very good.

We were given a room directly above front door,when door opened or closed automatically the sliding sound was like thunder and kept up until well into the night,when told the front desk they said it was going to get fixed pretty soon and they knew about it,but offered no solution such as moving us.The second thing was both the drains(sink& tub)hardly […] drain at all,dont like standing in a tub full of water when taking a shower or waiting for sink to drain down.Went to make morning coffee,no pot for coffee maker,just forgot about it.Not a place I would stay again and would not reccomend to any one,you need to do a better job of maintaining your property and training staff. The bathroom tiles were full of mold...the carpet area between the bed and wall was wet (perhaps a water leak somewhere), the sink was cracked...the room needed a make-over...it was obvious.

The Eisenhower Hotel in Gettysburg, PA is living on its name sake only. The room smelled musty, the carpets were stained and dirty. The towels were very thin in the bathroom. There was a roach in the deli dining area on a table top. Also, the workout room was closed due to "flooding" from the rain. The food was mediocre. "Adequate for one night"
It was like stepping back in time... the hotel seems like it was lost in the '80s. Eisenhower I is in need of a massive upgrade, although our room was quiet and spacious - fine for one night. The price was also much less than more modern places. I only saw three staff on site from check-in to check-out and that included the bartender in the lounge! […] However all were pleasant. This enormous property is a bit off the beaten path although other hotels are on the same road. If the restaurant isn't open, you definitely have to drive somewhere to get a bite to eat. Lesa meira

"Good Choice"
Large comfortable room, reasonable rates, nice staff and convenient to southern battlefield sites. Slightly removed from noisy downtown which is good but nothing within walking distance which is the only negative. Would recommend to others.

This was an old Sheraton Hotel I was told by the locals. The hotel is very nice for people that want a quiet stay in an area that is all about hustle and bustle. The hotel is a little peice outside of town but I will trade a short ride for the quiteness. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I asked if I could take the bed with me. My only drawbacks […] were, the restaurant and the deli were not open for very long. The pool was a little dirty and needs to be reconditioned. The front desk was very friendly and helpful with directing us to the areas attractions. If you do go Its worth while to search out Hoss's Steak house, best darn steak I have ever had. Lesa meira

"Gettysburg Eisenhower Hotel on Labor Day Wknd"
We arrived at 1:30 on Saturday and I was told that the King room I reserved online was not ready and they would give us a double. To get the King I had to come back later in the day. The desk person was not very nice. When we finally got our room which was supposed to be non smoking it clearly smelled of smoke. While I know tha staff can not control […] a guest from smoking in the room they should have noticed and had the room freshened. Even the towels had a smoke oder and should have been changed. Staf was not friendly and I even had to ask for a credit card reciept upon checkout and the counter seemed annoied that she had to do that. My next stay in Gettysburg will probably be at another hotel. Lesa meira

The hotel was clean but I was disappointed in the accommodations. I was lead to believe that the rooms had some amenities that were not present. (refrigerator, microwave). There was also road construction going on which meant a detour whenever you wanted to come back from areas other than historic Gettysburg. I've been staying at this hotel for over 30 years. It is peacefully located about 6 or 7 miles southwest of town. I would recommend it to anyone! My only negative comment is that the hotel needs to update some things in the original hotel building. I have almost always stayed in room 142 (poolside) and many of the loose electrical outlets and plumbing […] fixtures - chairs - lamps - etc. have not changed. Still, I LOVE IT THERE! Lesa meira

"was not happy"
When we booked the hotel we asked about a jacuzzi, that was one of the reasons we pickes the hotel an saw there was a resturant. when we got there and relaxed went to the jacuzzi only 4 jets were working and it was cold water, the swimming pool was warmer, and at 11 in the morning asked about the resturant and said it closed at 10 am wow also a couple […] of drunks banging on our door Lesa meira
The facility was acceptable, but is in need of some "TLC." Ceiling tiles in bathroom showed a water stain had been painted over and it sagged. Bathroom tile and vanity counters are dated and can use some updating. Room was quite spacious and quiet. Not far from downtown and battlefield.

My only issue was that the pool was suppose to close at 10:30 pm and at 11:00 there were still people out there making it difficult to go to sleep as our room was pool view.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The rooms were clean and bright, quite and the staff was most accommodating. Very nice! The only complaint I have is that the foord was expensive and "fair" quality.

You can tell the hotel is older, but the hotel location was close to the battlefield site and downtown. The hotel staff was friendly. My only complaint is the laundry room was in the main complex and our stay was in the second complex. But would stay again when we go to Gettysburg again

"Eisenhower Hotel - unkept and no amenities"
The Eisenhower is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. It is an older hotel that advertises family fun; however the indoor pool is old and dirty, no golf, no go-carts (groups of 20 only), no continental breakfast, no restaraunt (tiny deli & store combined), road construction detoured us several miles (hotel did not tell us). "Awesome stay!"
Though we left early due to new family plans; we very much enjoyed the stay. The staff were very helpful and courtious. The pool was very inviting and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If we get to visit Gettysburg again; it would be worth the stay there.
"BEWARE"
Warning, warning!!!!! Had to book a hotel in a hurry because of the death of my brother and attended his funeral. This one said it had a fine restaurant. When we got there we were told that because there where not enough people booked into the hotel that they did not have the restaurant available. We had planned for about a dozen people to eat there […] for dinner before the funeral and had to call everyone and tell them that we could not eat there. What a crock. The carpets are all dirty and shabby as well as the walls. I had asked for a handicap room for my 81 yr old mother and she was not given one. They did move her to another room but it was in the opposite building far away from my sister and I. They told me because the rooms were almost all booked the previous day that the maids were only told to do certain rooms!! Also, because of a problem with the water they called us at 930 in the morning and told us that they were turning off the water at 10. My sister and I were sharing a room and we are late sleepers. So we both had to take very quick showers!!! I will never visit this place again and hope that you heed this warning not to visit this place either!!!!!!! Lesa meira

You should direct customers to use Business US 15 North if coming from south or west and Bus, US 15 South if coming from north or east.
