"Pilgrim Inn"
Although the Pilgrim Inn appears to be an "older", traditional motel, the owners have done a fine job of delivering comfort, and excellent value. Although there was no lobby (they were totally refurbishing the lobby area), the front desk clerk was very friendly, making check-in a breeze. The room was a standard "double bed" set up. There was a large […] screen color TV with cable, a new remote, a digital thermostat to control the temperature, and a redone shower in the small but well maintained bathroom. Although newer, more decorative blankets might be more appealing, the mattresses turned out to be more comfortable (slightly firm) than those at the upscale chain hotel we stayed at the night before n a neighboring state. Good value for the price paid. The only minor glitches were a hotel phone that was a bit old and weak (they can easily fix that), and the lack of a breakfast (due to the lobby renovation, which they apologized for). The missing breakfast actually worked in our favor, as it gave us the impetus to sample the wonderful breakfast at Main Street Station Diner in Plymouth. If you do not need fancy facades, and appreciate value for your dollar, you should appreciate the Pilgrim Inn. Lesa meira
"Good Hotel in the White Mountain Region in NH"
My three chidren and I spent two nights in the Pilgrim Inn and Cottages during our 2011 Christmas ski trip in the Watervillie Valley. We had great time skiing during the day and very comfortable/relaxed nights in the hotel. The room is very clean/warm/quiet and the owners of the hotel are very lovely and extremely helpful. "Adequate"
If you need some place inexpensive but clean this hotel will work. It is very small and kind of has a motel feel. However the rooms were clean and fairly recently renovated which was nice. Wireless was available in our room and worked well. The TV had a decent number of channels. If you are looking for a cute getaway where you intend to spend a lot of time in your room this is not the place to go. The owners of the motel were lovely the coffee breakfast offered could use some improvement. Rooms are a little small but overall it was just what we needed and the price was right. If your visiting Plymouth State the location is perfect.

"What a RIP OFF!"

"TINY SPACE"
Very small room and lobby. Breakfast offered in lobby area was so small we didn't even try it. Very strong "ethnic food" smell in lobby. Staff were very kind and friendly. The neighborhood offered what we needed and it was convenient and just fine for a short overnight stay. Wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there. Would get very claustrophobic.

Good location. Beautiful area, very accessible to highways, lakes and mountains. Friendly, helpful hotel management. Addressed and corrected small repair issues immediately. Nice cliental. Convenient having a fridge and microwave. Nice that people can bring their pets. Enjoyed my stay and would return.

We always stay in "brand name" hotels, but needed a cheap place to sleep for one night in Plymouth. Chose it based on the hotels.com reviews. The receptionist was very pleasant and greeted us by name when we arrived late at night. We were directed to our room, and we hesitantly opened the door. It was a pleasant surprise! The room was very clean. It […] had 2 double beds, a large TV, microwave/fridge. Bathroom was sparking clean. TV worked fine. Beds were comfortable. Very quiet night's sleep. Breakfast was choice of frosted flakes or fruit loops and three kinds of Lenders bagels. There was plenty of milk, juice and coffee. It certainly didn't compare with a "brand name" continental breakfast, but was adequate for my teenage daughter and myself. We ate on a bench in front of our room. "Pilgrim Inn & Cottages, Plymouth NH"
If you're just looking for a clean, quiet, inexpensive hotel in the area, the Pilgrim Inn will fit the bill. It's got an old motel feel to the place, but the rooms were clean, had a nice tv, decent sized fridge and a mircrowave. They're complimentary continental breakfast doesn't offer much, but if a bagel, juice and fresh coffee is all you need, then […] it works. Staff was very friendly too. I stayed in one of the motel rooms, but I bet the cottages would have been nice too. The location was good, right off the highway. Oh, and the wireless internet - not sure where that was. "Basic Accommodations"
Very pleasant staff and good basic accommodations. It's like the old-fashioned motel/cottage setups I remember from when I was a kid. But it was clean and updated. Our room was a little tight for four adults, and the bathroom was small. But a good value.
"Normal, small town motel for the weary traveller"
Was a little concerned about this pick due to the somewhat negative ratings on a couple sites, but given the need for a reasonable priced room, on short notice, and on one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year, we took a chance. The motel was very easy to find and not far from the town center, shopping (Walmart), and late night food spots. Also […] a good town to stop in before entering the White Mountains area. The women at the front counter was very friendly and helpful, and offered a choice of either of a cabin (NE style small cabin/house, not a quaint log cabin many imagine) in the back or a motel room up front (suggesting the front was better). After checking both, we choose the motel room since we felt it would be too noisy in the back room due to the highway behind the cabin. The room was a basic motel room, nothing special or horrible, just a simple, clean, safe place to rest for the night. The room came with a microwave and fridge, cable tv, two beds and full bath (rough towels, but had our own too). The walls were a bit thin, letting some of the night noises from the surrounding rooms filter through, but all in all we didn't find any major faults with the motel or room. I think the main cause of the negative reviews, with the exception of the billing related ones, comes from people having too high of expectations from a small town motel room. This is not touted, nor should it expected to be a 4 star experience or hotel. Having travelled a lot, both here and abroad, and having stayed in everything from a 20-bed hostel room to the Ritz (Paris), I would say that the 'class' rating falls around 1 1/2 to 2 stars. This isn't due to any safety issues, faults, or problems, just that the hotel is slightly older and doesn't have much to offer outside of a place to stay. Lesa meira
"Pilgrim Cottages - OK but no frills"
Motel room and bathroom were clean and mattresses were comfortable. Room had microwave/fridge combo and LCD tv. Coffee is served in am along with Cheerios and Fruit Loops and some not so great bagels. If you like big breakfasts, you should either bring your favorite breakfast foods or go out to one of the many local restaurants serving breakfast. Also […] available are cottages with screen porch but I didn't see the inside so can't comment on them and don't know the nightly rate. "Nice Surprise"
This is the kind of place I would probably pass by if I was on the road looking for lodging but I booked this online and was unfamiliar with the area. I was very pleased with our stay. The facility is somewhat dated but had amenities we valued (especially WIFI) and the staff was so helpful to us. My granddaughter had trouble accessing the internet and […] the staff promptly assisted her. We asked for recommendations for restaurants, received several, and were extremely happy with the one we ultimately chose. i would certainly stay here again and it is nice to be able to support an independently owned business. I was very impressed with this little place. It looks like the small motels along a highway, but do not worry..... It was small, clean, simple and comfortable. Fridge, microwave were appreciated. The staff were nice.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! I chose it based on the price, and was anticipating a bit of a dump. My room was immaculate and the grounds were very clean. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and upgraded me to a king size bed with fridge and microwave!

"Excellent Customer Service"
By accident, I booked the wrong night on Hotels.com and showed up a day earlier than our reservation. When I arrived, they were very understanding of my mistake and they jumped through all sorts of hoops in order to help us and ended up giving us an upgrade on our room (to a cottage) at no extra cost. They could have easily made us pay for both nights […] or at least for the upgrade, but were very generous and kind to me and my family. Excellent customer service. Lesa meira

We stayed in the motel, not a cottage. The motel and rooms and very well maintained, and everything was extremely clean. The mattresses could have been more comfortable.
