"Mansion like stay in Marrakesh"
Do to an error on the web site, we ended up in the Bled Al Fassia. The accommodations were superior. The suites accompanied by the supper attentive staff made us feel like royalty. "Amazing retreat in the heat of the city"
Marakech has seen big, ugly tourism growth but Fassia is an amazing alternative to the other, bigger room hotels. The service is personal and excellent. I thought I was coming early but they were ready. They cleaned my room maybe twice a day. The staff went out of their to help and accommodate me. Excellent poolside breakfast -very VIP. Room Quality-*****!!! […] Palatial. I stayed in one of the deluxe suites and in this case, I think springing the extra $ was definitely worth it. Stay, stay, stay here! Especially if its on sale. Also its only a 20 or 30 dirham ride to Jamal Ifna, maybe 50d to the airport if you find the right driver. 2 block walk to a new mall/super marche- good to get some food/bev Lesa meira
"Away from madness of city center, yet close..."
About 1.5 miles from Djmaa El Fna plaza (30min walk). Staff very helpfull and friendly; rooms are spacious and clean; grounds meticulously mantained; didn't visit restaurant but seemed pretty ok with nice patio crowd; swimming pool very very clean; hotel doors are always locked for security, but staff is available 24h/day to let guests in; bar also […] available, but seems that guests don't use it much; serve wine/beer/liquor. Overall a very good choice for some quitness away from city center. During the day a cab ride to city center will be aprox 20-30MAD (USD$2.5/$4) and at night double the amount. It is, however, safe to walk at anytime even though it may seems "uncomfortable" at wee hours in the morning... Lesa meira

It was the best hotel I ever stayed in Very cousy Very friendy Very Clean Very Beautiful It was not a hotel, it was a warm cousy family house and the food was the best. I strongly recomind this hotel to be stayed in.

"Not to be overlooked - Al Fassia Aquedal"
Although I've traveled extensively for the past 30 years, throughout the world, I've never taken the time to post a travel review. This is my first. I originally selected this hotel because of the prior reviews and now feel obliged to continue the positive feedback, although I must admit that I was initially reluctant to say anything that might attract […] more attention to what I think is a very special property, but sharing is indeed part of traveling. Al Fassia Aquedal provides some of the best service that I have ever experienced...anywhwere, for any price. While not to be confused with a 5 star property with years of history and many more amenities, this hotel has some unique benefits and is comparable to anything in Marrakech, at what you'll probably find is a very reasonable price. Al Fassia is run by a family that has been in the hospitality business for many years. The manager's father ran what is generally considered the best (or most expensive) hotel in the city. They also own the best Moroccan food restaurant in town, a fact that no one will argue. In other words, this family-owned and managed hotel completely understands customer service and your experience as a guest. The employees are young, personable, extremely gracious, and very well trained. The property itself is new and generally in great shape. Minor maintenance issues are quickly handled and it's apparent that the owners have a long term development plan. It doesn't exude a sense of maturity yet and the fine (expensive) touches aren't there but for the price you should be more than satisfied. If there is any drawback it might be the location, which is 4-5 km south of the city center. However, this might also be an advantage if you want to avoid the hustle and noise. It's a hike to the city center, although I did it several times, but you can catch a taxi for a lot less than the in-city hotel premium. "A superb place to stay"
We stayed for 3 nights at the end of October 2010 and were so pleased we picked this riad. From start to finish we were looked after impeccably. Every single member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and the owner Myra was lovely, very laid back, making time to come over and chat to us on a number of occasions. On […] arrival we found we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a lovely suite, very large and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was spacious with a good sized shower. The bed was very comfortable and we slept soundly every night. Every area of the hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy. We had a good Moroccan breakfast each morning under the olive trees surrounding the pool and on the evenings ate at the adjoining restaurant which serves superb food. The hotel is situated about 40 minutes walk from the centre of Marrakech, which may not suit everyone, but there are plenty of taxis available. It was perfect for us - each day we enjoyed a leisurely walk into the city and took a taxi back. After the hustle and bustle of Marrakech it was a pleasure to leave the city behind on an evening and return to what can only be described as a quiet oasis. We cannot praise this riad highly enough and would like to thank everyone there for making our stay so enjoyable. "Fassia Aguedal"
Not in the main area but that is a good thing. Constant supervision by the owners is obvious by the quality of the service. The attached restaurant is excellent requiring early booking to guarantee a table. This hotel is like a private club with attentive staff there to look afer all your needs.
"A perfect holiday destination"
If you are looking at this review, and have not yet booked this hotel, do so now. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We found on arrival that we had been upgraded from a twin room to a suite, simply because they had the room available. The room was beautiful (as were the other rooms - I took a sneaky peek), with a view over the pool. The photos of […] the pool do not do it justice; whilst many "pools" at Marrakech hotels are more for bathing than swimming, this pool was large enough to have a good swim, without feeling commercial (and if you think it looks green, it is - green tiles!) Breakfast could be served either round the pool, on the roof terrace, or in the Salon. Breakfasts varied each day, but always included various Moroccan breads, followed by warm moroccan pancakes and crumpet-like patties, all served with hot drinks and fresh orange juice. We found it was the perfect start to the day, served at whatever time we asked for the night before. Indeed many days we did not eat lunch, but survived quite happily on breakfast and dinner, which fitted in well with Ramadan opening hours. We ate in the hotel restaurant only one night, but could happily have eaten there every night. The food was delicious, and the service attentive without being overpowering, a trait which carried over to the hotel as a whole. For those who do not speak french, the hotel staff spoke sufficient english, although possibly not with the fluency that might be found in a more international hotel, but this may just have been because I was prepared to speak to them in French! Myra speaks near-perfect English and was an infallible source of information and assistance. The hotel is around half an hour's walk from the Medina, but we found this to be a mainly pleasant walk, even for two unaccompanied women. It's possible to flag down a taxi, and if you are firm this should cost no more than 40 dh during the day and 50 at night (at this time around £2-4). All in all a perfect stay. Lesa meira

"Al Fassia"
Det här hotellet är en välbehövlig oas, i det annars ganska livliga Marrakech. Vi tyckte hotellet var den perfekta kombinationen mellan liten och mysig riad, och det större hotellens faciliteter i form av poolområden m.m. Hela hotellet känns nytt och fräscht, men är ändå mycket ombonat och trevligt. Läget är på gott och ont en bit utanför stan. Lugnt […] och skönt, men ca 30 min promenad på gång/cykelbana alt. 5 min taxi till medinan. Det går bra att få en taxi från hotellet, men det är inte lika enkelt och snabbt ordnat som inifrån stan. Ca 200 m från hotellet ligger ett stort och modernt köpcentrum. Tråkigt, men med all service som behövs. Hotellets egna restaurang är dessutom en av stans bättre, så vill man inte åka in till medinan, måste man inte. Servicen är från början till slut helt fläckfri och hela personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam. De var till stor hjälp både före och under vistelsen. Detta gör att hotellet upplevs som 5* på alla sätt. "HOTEL AL FASSIA AGUEDAL - MARRAKECH"
Nous avons séjourné, en amoureux, dans cet hôtel une semaine du 27.08.2011 au 03.09.2011. C'est un mi-hôtel-mi-riad qui correspondait tout à fait à nos attentes. Nous avions une belle chambre décorée typiquement donnant sur la piscine, au calme. Le personnel y est très accueillant notamment Myra, la gérante qui est très conviviale et facilement abordable, […] elle se présente à tous les clients à leur arrivée et se rend disponible en cas de nécessité durant le séjour, Youssef notre cuisinier du matin qui nous préparait un excellent petit déjeuner, Sofia la réceptionniste ... Excellent restaurant au sein de cet hôtel - ne pas oublier de goûter une de leur spécialité : l'épaule d'agneau dorée aux amendes et oignons tout comme leur assortiment de salades, les tajines, l'harira etc... tout y est très bon. N'oubliez pas de vous laissez chouchoutez par Azzedine lors d'un soin hamman et massage. N'hésitez pas à prendre un taxi de l'hôtel pour vous rendre en ville. Nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner. "nicht ganz zentral, aber doch sehr zu empfehlen"
Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir eine Übernachtung zusätzlich gebucht und einen Tag zum Relaxen eingefügt haben. Der Service war uneingeschränkt sehr gut. VORSICHT: 1. wir haben das Hotel nicht gefunden, da der Straßennamen niemandem (auch keinem Taxifahrer) bekannt und auch mittels Navi nicht zu finden war. Schreibt VOR der Anreise die Original-Tel-Nummer […] auf, um ggf. vor Ort direkt anrufen zu können. 2. Das Riad liegt so weit außerhalb, dass man entweder ein Auto benötigt oder aber ein Taxi nehmen muss. Das war aber kein Problem und wir haben es als Ausgleich zum hektischen Treiben in der Medina und den Souk sehr genossen. Dafür ist es aber sehr angenehm ruhig. Lesa meira
