"Ódýrt Hótel í Ilford"Metið af Svavar Þór G frá "Manchester" þann 20. feb. 2012
Við þurftum að fara til London með þrjá syni okkar og það er yfirleitt ekki mögulegt nema þá að leigja tvö, rándýr herbergi undir okkur. Park Hotel bauð upp á fjölskylduherbergi sem er með þremur tvíbreiðum rúmum í nokkuð stóru herbergi. Þrátt fyrir nokkuð gamalt teppi á herberginu var það snyrtilegt og haganlega fyrir komið og allar innréttingar nýlegar. Baðherbergið er nýuppgert með stórri sturtu. Herbergið var því hið þægilegasta. Annað á hótelinu er ekki eins snyrtilegt og augsýnilega nokkuð langt síðan það var endurnýjað í "sameigninni" en allt var þó snyrtilegt og hentaði okkur afar vel. um 10 mínútna gangur er að Gants Hill neðanjarðarlestarstöðinni og þaðan er síðan um 30 mínútna lestarferð niður í miðborg London. Að öllu ofangreindu er því hægt að segja að Þó að auðvelt sé að finna "fínni" hótel með nýrri innréttingum í sameiginlegu plássunum er ljóst að ekki er hægt að finna gistingu á viðlíka verði og þarna. Og takist manni að borða vel í enska morgunmatnum er ljóst að ekki þarf meira eldsneyti fyrr en nokkru síðar þann daginn. Síðan er stórkostlegur kostur við þetta hótel að þarna er ókeypis bílastæði. Það er gott í landi þar sem kostar hvítuna úr augunum á manni að leggja bíl. Myndi hiklaust fara hingað aftur.
Mögulegt er að gjalds verði krafist fyrir aukagesti. Slíkt fer eftir stefnu hvers hótels fyrir sig.

Þetta er mjög gott hótel og staðsetningin frábær sérstaklega þar sem ég lenti á Terminali 5 og fór þaðan aftur næsta morgun. Öll þjónusta var mjög góð. Mundi hiklaust gista þarna aftur.

"Perfect Hotel at a cost"
I love this hotel at T5. The hotel is new and gleaming, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are beautiful. Beds are comfortable, during my last stay we were picked to be residence of the day so had a free upgrade to a delux room, making it even better, however the TV on the bathroom wall is a little pointless unless you are standing in the bath as […] it can't be viewed from any other angle :) Stay here if you are flying from T5, and book well in advance to get a good price. I was VERY disappointed when I arrived and they informed me that I could not get into my room until 2:00 p.m. I had flown all night from Washington, D.C. and wanted to sleep for a couple of hours. they said that I would have to pay 10 GBP PER HOUR!!! to be in my room before 2:00 P.M. I informed them that this had not happened the other times when I […] checked in and also not anywhere on the website. after that statement, they "let " me stay in the room without an extra 10GBP an hour surcharge. Great hotel and location. Free wi-fi internet, but if you wanted fast speed you had to pay more.

Clean, modern, comfortable room. Sofitel is not as close to terminals as portrayed on web site and elsewhere. Though food is good (we got room service after a long day of travel and before another) but very expensive.

I stayed at this hotel on the night before I flew out of Heathrow. This place is gorgeous. It is clean, classy, and comfortable. The spa is great and is open late and the tea room is great. The staff were great. Super great place to stay at Heathrow. I will be back!

This is absolulety gorgeous and comfortable, for extra paid , it is more than worth it.. mention it, convenience, quality, services, right for the concierge till the room, i just want to give them a rating of 10 ...but your max is 5...i recommend this to all, and you will always want to stay here... i love everything about this hotel....

"Heathrow Stay"
Great hotel. Definitely worth staying - especially if you're flying into or out of Terminal 5. We were flying out of Terminal 4 and had lots of luggage, so took a taxi instead of the free train. Didn't want full dinner, so asked what was in the terminal. One of the staff pointed us to the great Marks & Spencer grocery, where you can get a huge variety […] of ready-made food - all delicious. "Sofitel Heathrow - an oasis at Heathrow"
I've stayed here twice usually at end of business trip. Its great because its connected to Terminal 5 and even if you aren't flying out of that terminal its an easy transfer to the others by express train. Its a modern, minimalist type hotel and with spacious open spaces, its a nice contrast to a crowded airport. My only slight negative is with the […] spa. I've used the spa both times for a much needed massage. First time was excellent (thus my desire to return), but the last time it was a bit strange as they closed up shop even before I left the spa. I really hope they keep the spa in top form. I thought the French bistro restaurant was quite good. "Fabulous luxury airport hotel"
Excellent location for T5 (it's attached so you just walk!) and really comfortable, clean, and modern. No complaints at all. Go for the room types that give you access to the club lounge - it's a great place to chill out the evening before your flight. Best for business and couples.

Stayed at the Sofitel on New Years Eve 2011 prior to flight out next day. Lovely modern hotel,helpful reception staff, comfortable room and amazing monsoon shower. Had a drink in the bar which was very cool with table service tho as expected 5 star prices so walked over to Terminal 5 which is easily reached by escalator,walkway and lift directly into […] the terminal. There is a pub and Carluccios here so we decided to eat and drink at the terminal so didnt use the hotel restaurant. We flew from Terminal 3 which is serviced from Terminal 5 by a train. Very expensive hotel in T5 LHR, but no doubt an expensive location. I have no other reason to stay there other than convenience for an early flight the following day. No other complaint however, staff were friendly and efficicent, room was comfortable and clean.

I ate the breakfast buffet two mornings and thought it was very good with lots of choices and selection. The price was normal for expensive hotels in large cities (I believe 20 pounds). I also had a couple beers and a few appetizers at the Sphere Bar which were very good and reasonably priced. The overall experience was quite good and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone flying in or out of Heathrow. Because we had an early flight we spent our last night here after a 2 1/2 week trip. It worked out great! Service was great and helpful. Being a really light sleeper I was concerned about the noise but it wasn't an issue. I could slightly hear the planes but it was far from obnoxious. It was probably one of the quietest hotels I stayed in for the trip. My […] husband kept saying, "too bad this hotel is so far from town". Being a business traveler I think he would have loved to stay here all of our time in London. The free wifi was one of the strongest and most reliable of all the 6 hotels we stayed in. We had drinks & appetizers in the bar portions were small but they were delicious!!! And good service. We flew out of Terminal 3. The room was OK but getting to and from the airport was not as easy as I had expected. Getting to T4 early in the morning involved a taxi ride which cost 26 pounds. There is a direct access to T5 but allow yourself a good 20 minutes before arriving at the actual entrance of the airport. Has everything you could possibly want. Had a delicious evening meal and even managed to get the hotel parking charges reimbursed for my brother and sister. Super friendly staff. very efficient. Hotel was absolutely stunning.

"Perfect for travelers flying from terminal 5"
This was an absolutely fabulous hotel. It's directly attached to terminal 5, so we stayed there the night before we flew back home. We were upgraded for free and given a late checkout upon check-in, both without asking! My only compliant with the room was that the mattresses are not all that great (but not horrible either). The attached hotel restaurants/bars […] are pretty much the only dining options (the airport restaurants are all after security) in the area. We went to the full service french restaurant and had extremely good food and great service; However, it isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Lesa meira

"Ideal Location"
Warm, comfortable, welcoming staff - and amazingly close to the terminal. A really good place to relax before a morning flight but beware the restaurant prices - there are good food outlets in the departures hall at terminal 5 and a Marks & Spencer food hall in arrivals.

Excellent room in terms of cleanliness, comfort (notably the beds and pillows), bathroom and shower. Also wonderful food experience in the casual dining room. Fantastic experience. Beautiful comfortable rooms minutes walk from terminal 5 and connecting trains to other Heathrow Terminals. All amenities were fantastic, hotel restaurant was above what i have experienced in other similar establishments. Recommend to anybody looking for a good nights sleep!

"Sofitel Heathrow"
Hotel was conveniently located at Terminal 5 with free transport to other terminals. Room was very luxurious and quiet. Was disappointed that free WiFi was not included in price as hotel was pricey, but is worth staying at before flying out. Not very convenient to central London by an excellent choice before traveling from Heathrow.
