I had a vacation home in Boothbay Harbor for many years and passed by this motel many times and thinking it was not a place I would want to stay. But after two nights in a convenient location, better than expected accomodations, nice desk clerks, good staff I have a new opinion of Knights. Can't complain for the price, clean room, friendly service at the front desk, free internet. The room was a little noisy at times, and couldn't quite figure out the heating. Good Liquor store over the road, towards the thai place.

The Knights Inn is an older motel located right on Rte 1. Small room with dated decorations, but clean and comfortable. Hair drier, fridge, microwave, iron and ironing board were provided. Friendly staff. Typical continental breakfast provided. Very easy to find and convenient to Brunswick. Not fancy but great for a quick overnight stay.

Very basic hotel, room was a great rate and you couldn't beat that. Room was clean and service came every day. Breakfast was what was expected bagels and English muffins. The only thing not expected was the milk and orange juice in the refrigerator were in gallon containers you would have at your home, not individual containers and the milk was expired […] a week ago. I dumped it down the drain, then the milk the next was was replaced by milk expiring that day. Other than that a decent hotel for the money. If you have high expectations this isn't for you. Floor was sinking into the ground. Doors were uneven and difficult to open. Weird smell.

Look, posh this place isn't. But I have to give credit where credit is due. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and I have nothing to complain about. I was passing through and just needed an inexpensive place to spend the night before moving on. This place absolutely delivered. For what I paid it could well have been a dive but it wasn't. The bed […] was clean and comfortable, the TV worked, the bathroom was clean, there was a refrigerator, and the air conditioner worked fine. The room was adequate, but well used and lacking in the usual hotel ammenities. Given that we were only there for 8 hours, it was fine for the money.

There was a mix up with the reservations. When I called ahead, the desk clerk seemed very confused and assured me it wasn't her fault and that she would have it fixed by the time we arrived. The way she worked it out was to have it look like we checked out and then she put us back in the same room for the next night. When we got back to our room the […] second night, my pillow and all our drinks were missing. When I questioned the same desk clerk, she brought me my pillow only and assured me that she had done her job by writing a note to the cleaner. Not a good experience. Lesa meira

This was one of the least expensive hotel options for us in Brunswick. The room was clean and comfortable, which was my primary concern, so in that regard this visit was successful. But no in-room coffee, the free coffee and breakfast area did not open until 7:00 a.m., the breakfast offering was absolutely minimal, and the front desk/office was closed […] and locked around 5:00 p.m. If a bed and a roof is all you want, this could be fine for you, but next time I'll shell out a little more for a few more amenities. This is a pleasing, functional motel/hotel - nothing outstanding but no complaints either. The room was very large and spacious, and was clean with reasonable decor. No complaints and breakfast was fine - cereal, bagels, toast, tea, etc. The internet worked well and the staff were helpful.

I stayed here for 9 days with no problems, except that there was no wall plug in the restroom. It was funny, because they still bolted a hair dryer to the wall, but it couldn't be plugged in.

The Knights Inn was exactly what we expected and our rating in based on the type of accommodations. It is not a luxury resort but it is a perfectly fine place to spend the night and catch a dip in the pool. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were visiting Yarmouth for the Clam Festival and this was a convenient 10 to 15 miles from the festival. […] We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Lesa meira

The facilities were clean, beds comfortable. We were visiting colleges and had no need of extra amenities, so were quite happy.

This is a very very small room, but if you don't mind small it does have a lovely large in ground pool and the room has a nice little refrigerator and small microwave. It is an older motel, even has an actual key to unlock the door and just a window air conditioner if you need it. Everything worked well and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Our feet were instantly dirty after a shower because the carpet was in need if cleaning. The room was old but met our basic needs of a simple room, bed, shower, a/c & tv. So just to crash for a night on the cheap, it's ok.

Room had terrible odour that did not go away. Stairs recently repaired but hotel in poor repair. The room and stay would have been okay if priced at 50%, but with all the other hotels in the region of Freeport, only stay here if there is no where else and you are desperate.

Check in with fast The lady at the front desk was very helpful I stayed it twice and he was very clean and the people around you very helpful and I'm going to amy friends that's a good place to stay and now I know where to stay for my next day for my vacation next year

The room was comfortable, clean and equipped with a microwave and refrigerator so it was just fine as a stop-over on the way to Down East Maine from the Portland airport. However, the exterior of the hotel is not attractive or impressive in any way--old pavement everywhere.

Though the hotel was not the most modern, it was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was extremely kind and helpful. I would definitely staff there again!

We stayed here for one night as it was cheap and well located for us to pick up car hire the following day. We had taken the bus fromm Boston to Brunswick. The reservation was made online and paid for before we arrived. However, when we arrived our pre-paid booking could not be found. This caused a bit of confusion and frantic telephoning. It apparently […] wasn't the first time this had happened that day. The problem was finally passed on to the Motel owner (not on site) who found the booking and faxed it to the Motel so we eventually managed to check in. Meanwhile,another guest came to reception asking for help (not an immediate emergency). Without giving specifics, the receptionist was not particulary caring or helpful. The solution suggested was for the guest to call 911 from the phone in her room. It would have been so much more caring if the Motel had done this on her behalf from reception. On finally getting into our room, we found the room to be basic but acceptable. It was however a bit smelly and stuffy but it was clean. We didn't have enough towels but this was easily sorted by a trip back to reception. The complimentary coffee, juice, cereal and danish at breakfast time was a nice thought. All in all, cheap accomodation in a slightly dated Motel. Possibly not for the weak at heart and definately not for the physically infirm. With just a few improvements here and there this could be a great little Motel. Lesa meira

We felt completely safe in the room, as it was on Pleasant St (the main street through town), and traffic was mild. The Knights Inn looks a bit seedy but fortunately in this case, looks were deceiving. I obviously can speak for onlh one room. MIne was clean, with two double beds, an empty fridge, small microwave and cable TV. Clean bathroom and plenty of towels and the usual tiny piece of motel soap. Lots of hot water. The usual bagel,cereal, juice, coffee complementary […] breakfast. Not as expansive a breakfast as some places but OK. I was looking for two nights in Brunswick at a low rate. I'd stayed at the nearby Comfort Inn a couple of times previously. A nicer place but significantly more per night. Knights Inn was perfectly acceptable, better value and with good access on Route 1. OK room, OK service, and a little dated so why a 5-star overall rating ... because the prices was great. Perfectly OK accommodation but the price was 1/2 of other options we found on-line. If you're looking for a great deal on basic accommodations this is a great choice.
