Aside from the amazing view from our room, the service we received was excellent from the start! I'm only sorry we didn't have longer to stay in Queenstown as I would have loved a few more days at this hotel!

"Rees Hotel just outside Queenstown"
The hotel is designed to take full advantage of its postion. We had an executive suite with a large balcony with a sweeping open view overlooking one of the branches of Lake Wakatipu. The room was large, well appointed and full of light. The bathroom had unusually large windows (not overlooked!) and was cleverly positioned to have commanding views of […] the lake, even from the bath! The dining room (also with great views) served an excellent breakfast and we had two excellent upmarket (modern cuisine, full comfortable table linen) dinners there too. All the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Convenient indoor car parking, without barriers, which one did oneself made coming and going very easy. An excellent base for the area all round Queenstown, which itself was only three of four minutes away by car. Overall we had a most enjoyable stay. Lesa meira
"The Rees - A very special place"
Our suite was huge with kitchen, dining for 6 and lounge all leading on to a huge balcony with uninterrupted views over the spectacular lake. The large bedroom did the same. Sadly for us, It was raining most of the time we were there. The concierge staff , especially Roman, went out of their way to point us to wet weather activities notwithstanding, […] i.e., a vineyard tour, etc. Restaurant was excellent for dinner although the breakfast cook's version of an omelette was inedible. "Fabulous hotel with a phenomenal restaurant"
The hotel is great. The food was just fantastic. Would compete well with a Mario batali restaurant in New York and a lot more relaxed, with a view you can't beat. The hotel is great too.
"Wonderful Vacation"
we went there for our honeymoon and it was totally worth it except that the location is out of town but they offer complimentary bus shuttles. overall, it is highly recommended especially the views of the lake from the balconey

We had a great stay at the Rees. Great service, and nice lakeview rooms. They even offered to hold our luggage while we went on the Milfred Trek
"The Rees Hotel"
We have stayed at the Rees hotel and have found it fantastic each time. The staff service and the quality of the hotel are excellent. It is our preferred hotel in Queenstown. The views from all rooms are spectacular and it is only a short stroll to the city along the lake front. I recommend the Rees to anyone who is looking at visiting Queenstown.

"Rees Hotel/Apartments, Queenstown"
The first impression of the complex is that it's a bit like a bunker - lots of steel and concrete. We booked an Alpine Room, which promises a lake or mountain view. Indeed we had a mountain view, but unfortunately the roof of the building in front came about 2 feet above our balcony level, which was a shame. The hotel was not full and it would have […] been good if they had given a lake view. That said, the room was absolutely excellent - large, modern, comfortable - fully 5 star. The hotel service was prompt and friendly; the food in the restaurant was outstanding. Overall, just a few small disappointments, but never the less it was excellent value. Lesa meira
"lovely hotel, 3 km from town"
We spent 2 nights in 2 different rooms, before and after our Milford track hike. Both rooms were like new with comfy and modern furnishings. The upgraded lake view room had a gorgeous view but the room smelled moldy. I actually liked the standard alpine view room better. It had a great tub but I couldn't figure out how to work the jacuzzi. The staff […] were very nice and they let us keep our car in the garage free of charge during our hike. I would recommend this hotel for travellers who don't need to be in the town center. Lesa meira

"Beautiful room with a view, perfect location"
Our stay at this hotel was enjoyable as could be. The room was clean, well appointed, beautiful use of space and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen was completely stocked and we were able to make 2 full dinners and a lunch there after stopping at the local supermarket. The hotel lobby is small but lovely. We did not eat at the restaurant […] but the menu looked outstanding. The hotel is a 5 minute drive to the downtown Queenstown shops and restaurants. Great value! Lesa meira
"Fantastic hotel in Queenstown."
The Rees was a beautiful hotel - the main entry is gorgeous and a great introduction to the hotel. The concierge was very helpful in making bookings for our stay and recommended some very good restaurants in the area. Everything was modern and clean. There are amazing views from the Lakeview rooms. One night we stayed in an Executive Lakeview Room with […] a spa bath which was very nice and bigger than the lakeview rooms. But, unless you're planning to spend time in the hotel room, the Lakeview Rooms are probably all that you'd need for a great night with a great view. The second night we stayed in a regular Lakeview Room. Even the simple Lakeview rooms had a balcony which provided beautiful views over the lake. The hotel was quiet and very peaveful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed at the Rees for 2 nights of our honeymoon and it was one of the best hotels on our trip. The only notable point is that this hotel is not right in town -- having a car is most convenient so that you can drive the 5 minutes into town and to the activities. There are no restaurants or anything right near the hotel so a car is useful. Overall, this is a gorgeous and highly recommended hotel. Lesa meira

we arrived a day earier due to some weather conditions up north and the reception checked us in on availability of room. He even offered to match the same price i booked on hotel.com. overall hotel deco and services are up to my expectation, clean lines, contemp design, under floor heating, view from room was breath taking. 风景太棒了， 就是位置离市中心稍微远点， 不过开车无所谓， 皇后镇停车比较麻烦。 服务也很周到， 房间很舒适。 前台还有位中国女孩， 非常热心。 其他服务员也有问必答。

房间有大露台，床和床褥被子都很舒服，淋浴花洒也很舒服，有风筒，最难得是有150mb的免费wifi，这几项是我个人住店认为最重要的，总体而言还是很不错的，有穿梭巴士到镇中心。

"Apart-hotel cinco estrelas próximo a Queenstown"
Excelente decoração, vista maravilhosa, equipe eficiente e prestativa. Único incoveniente: não tão próximo ao centro da cidade, mas o hotel compensa pela vista e pelo serviço de transporte gratuito do hotel para o centro e vice-versa em horários pré-determinados. Destaque para a concierge que nos atendeu muitíssimo bem em nossa estadia.
