Based on the ratings and reviews, we were expecting to be at a very nice hotel and nice surrounding neighborhood. This wasn't the case at all. We actually didn't feel safe getting to the hotel at night. Also, we couldn't close the room curtains, and we had to sleep with the light from the apartment in front of our room all night long (plus we felt anybody […] outside could see through our room). There was also a lot of noise coming from the street. The wifi service was really weak... we had to be in the bathroom to be able to get email messages or browse the internet (though the wifi in the hotel lobby was good). Smiley, friendly staff that let us check-out an hour late, safe luggage storage, very central location. Modern, though a little run-down rooms and a fair size. Seriously attractive breakfast.

We stayed here twice in April 2013. The first time we had a large room at the front. The second stay we had a much smaller room, this could have been because we arrived very early a.m. and may have been the only room clean at the time, but it didn't spoil are stay. Breakfast had a big selection. No complaints. Good for the price.

Only Wired Internet in the rooms, Wireless in the lobby only and was a poor connection. Only seemed to work at the front desk.

A clean, modern hotel located near the main tourist area. The street was a bit dubious late at night. The room was comfortable and all the fittings worked, however there was very little space and if you had a large suitcase it would be difficult to find room for it. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc.

Pleasant bilingual English speaking staff made our stay comfortable. The food was very good and the pricing was very respectable.

Location was very good, near Florida, one of the main shopping districts. Also near a number of landmarks and a metro station is close by. Wi-Fi is not available in the rooms, and is poor in the lobby too (but I think this is an Argentina thing rather than the hotel). Ethernet is in the room. Location was in close proximity to most of the sites downtown and eateries. Buses and taxis were also easily accessible for other sites like La Boca. Room was really cramped but clean. Staff provided excellent service and generally spoke good English and breakfast was great!

I liked the hotel overall and the value was ok. The rooms are cool. The location is good. Good fast internet (preferably wifi) is important to me and should be free. They have free wired internet in the rooms but it is unreliably slow if you want to use skype, etc. Breakfast included is also important to me and I am real easy to please. The Hotel is good located in the City of Buenos Aires. The room was big enough for 2 people, The bathroom should be not used together, but is in a good condition. It was quite in the night and the curtains are very sufficient and black for a good night sleep.

The hotel is located in micro centre in Buenos Aires capital, just two streets from Florida st. The service is very good, and the staff are very friend. The room is modern and clean. I really enjoy being in there.

Location is grand, close to all the bars, cafe's and restaurants. Easy walking distance to Florida where the main tourist shopping is. Surrounding this hotel are many other hotels and many choices of shopping and eating. Public Transport is everywhere so you are never short of catching your preferences.

The hotel was very good value for money. First of all, the hotel is in a convenient location. Our room was very clean and the staff are very helpful. The bonus is the good breakfast that they serve. If I visit Buenos Aires again, I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 8 days at this hotel and I must say it was a complete disappointment and the worst experience I ever had. Unfortunately, I did read other reviews before buying, but I went with the positive review and ignored the negatives. Huge mistake! Everything they say in the negative reviews is completely true: The bed is extremely low and produces a […] horrible sound when you sit, lie down or get up. The bathroom is extremely TINY! The sink is so small that when you wash your face you wet the entire bathroom floor! It's terrible! In addition to these things that have no solution, I had the terrible experience that the air conditioning began to leak the first time I set it on and when we got up in the morning the whole room was wet! The next day we asked for a change of room and were told that there was no availability, but that they would fix the problem... The air leak stopped but it never cooled again!! Fortunately, Buenos Aires was cold... And if the above is not sufficient, one day we wanted to watch the news (we dont watch much TV) and when we tried to turn the TV on, it did not worked! It turned out that the "break" had "jumped". I'm not the type of person who writes reviews but I felt the need to do it to avoid that the same thing happens to someone else. The Vista Sol is in a great location, close to the Calle Florida, and the subte (subway), and is within walking distance of San Telmo, Recoleta, the Playa de Mayo. Even as a female, I felt safe walking around the streets in the area at night on my own as there is a lot of foot-traffic in the area. There were some maintenance issues, such as noisy air conditioning, windows which wouldn't stay open, sticky doors, and the equipment in the fitness centre, although these were all dealt with by staff when raised. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast spread was extensive, especially by South American standards, and there were even delicious brownies! The hotel is modern and well maintained. It s located two blocks from Calle Florida which is and exceptionally active street. The staff is exceptionally knowledgable and helpful. Breakfast selection is excellent.

This was not a bad choice for a hotel in the heart of BsAs. 1.5 blocks from Florida and close to pretty much everything in the downtown area. Front desk staff were pleasant. Restaurant staff were very friendly. THERE IS NO WI-FI IN THE BEDROOMS!!! The hotel advertises that there is complimentary Wi-Fi in the hotel. On this website it mentions that […] is it a Room Feature. This is not the case. There is free internet in the room but not wi-fi. The front desk will give you a cable if you need one, but Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby....and it can be a little spotty. In today's smart phone age it was a little frustrating to power up the laptop to check emails etc. The room was comfortable and clean. Previous comments re Ikea style furniture were pretty accurate. I loved the blackout blinds and while it seemed fancy that they were controlled by a switch on the wall, that grew a little tedious having to wait for them to open and close anytime I wanted to open a window or use the balcony. Seeing as I was there for business, I would have appreciated an actual chair to sit at when working at the desk in the room. It wasn't very comfortable sitting on a stool. When I was there is was very hot and humid. We had regular storms in the evening times. This brought a HUGE number of bugs into the room. For the most part, if I kept the blackout blinds shut once it got dark, they stayed away, but they were getting in through the vents or something because the room was covered in them some of the nights. It wasn't very pleasant, but I will go with the assumption that it was caused by the weather. I took pictures and mentioned it to the front desk, but they weren't able to do anything about it. We enjoyed our stay in a avante-garde but lovely suite on the ninth floor with a balcony overlooking a busy city street. We were centrally located and the staff was most helpful--particularly Alfredo P. who went out of his way to help us. Great buffet breakfast. Look forward to retuning some day.

The hotel is centrally located and convenient although not the greatest area at night. In Buenos Aires safe areas at night do not exist. The hotel is modern and clean located two blocks from Gallerias Pacifico and one block from the main shopping drag in the city. Theatres and main attractions are close. I would not hesitate to return.

The worst hotel I have stayed in. The internet in the room had broken plugs and the shower would not work. After 3 days we left without using the shower and used the slowest internet in the lobby. location was pretty central--close to Florida shopping, quick walk to puerto madero and other main attractions. The staff were great! Knowledgeable, booked tours and cars easily for us, and saved me from buying a voltage adapter when I realized mine didn't fit their outlets. Breakfast was good and I recommend the room service salmon--great sized portions […] of real salmon and they served a variety of vegetables (not just potatoes) for a great price! rooms were clean and secure. A few negatives: (a) no wifi access in rooms, even though this was listed on their online room descriptions; (b) tried contacting reception at 11pm one night and no one responded---had to go downstairs to track someone down; (c) there's no way to indicate that you do not want your room cleaned WHILE YOU ARE OUT--the "no molestar" button on the door works only if your keycard is inserted. I really didn't need to have my room cleaned everyday--too much a waste of resources. All in all, if rooms had wifi access, I would definitely stay there again without hesitation :) Lesa meira

Did NOT give us a room with a King size bed as our Expedia reservation ordered ( room offered was a 2 single beds ), during two days they promised us to change rooms but did not honor that. Other problems were with shelves from the bathroom and side of beds, both were slightly in angle so gravity laws make everything slips to the floor. From water bottles […] to my digital camera every kind of things dropped down all the time. Just to complete acoustic isolation between rooms was poor, showing use of cheap materials and also air condition equipment was a bit noisy. Even though this Hotel is conviniently localted, close to Florida street, and it is very modern, as with most Buenos Aires hotels at these price levels, rooms are way too small. A couple with two large pieces of lugagge, will find very small room to manouver.

Stayed in Vista Sol for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. Hotel is very modern, lounge style. Standard room is large enough if you travel solo but maybe a little bit small if you travel with another person (not my case). Not a problem as they have deluxe rooms which are 30% larger. Room has a lot of eletronic enhancements like 100% blackout eletronic […] courtains (the darkest i´ve ever seen), a lot of light configurations and a good office space. Lobby is nicely decorated and cafeteria area also. Breakfast is excelent with a large selection of fruits, juices, bread, egg, cheeses, pastries, etc,etc,etc. Finally, what i like the most is the gym at the penthouse, with new equipments and a fantastic sauna and, must of all, always empty. O Hotel é novo, moderno, confortável, com bom atendimento. Um único problema, mas de ordem pessoal, é que as camas e poltronas do quarto, são baixas, na verdade, trata-se do conjunto da decoração moderna. Em resumo valeu a pena e a LOCALIZAÇÃO EXCELENTE! Recomendo!

O quarto não abre a janela e o ar não circula, muito ruim para quem tem alergia. O banheiro tem uma ducha otima, mas só existe um vidro pequeno dividindo o banheiro do box, o que alaga todo o banheiro na hora de tomar banho. Os atendentes são muito simpaticos. Otimo local proximo a Calle Florida.

Hotel novo, limpo e bem arrumado. Fiquei no quarto de frente que achei bem grande e confortavel o unico porem é a porta do banheiro que era de vidro jateado e nao tinha trinco. O cafe da manha é muito bom mas as opções não mudam, sao as mesmas todo dia. Pelo o que ouvi esse é o padrão de café da manhã argentino. Buenos Aires é uma cidade encantadora e o hotel reproduz esse encanto nas acomodaçoes e no delicioso café da manha. Excelentes funcionarios. Perto de tudo (Subte, Onibus, Puerto Madero, Corrientes, Lavalle e Florida) e seguro. Fizemos muita coisa a pé, chegamos varias vezes bem tarde e tudo correu bem.

Minha experiência de 4 diárias no Vista Sol foi muito boa. Gostei de tudo. Apreciei com moderação o farto e variado café da manhã cujo serviço é rápido e eficiente. A localização é boa. Algumas vezes cheguei a pé depois das 21h e a rua estava movimentada, me pareceu um lugar seguro.Quanto ao quarto, de fato, como li em ali em alguns comentários, é possível […] ser acordado com o barulho quando o hóspede vizinho abre ou fecha a porta, por exemplo. Entretanto, não é nada que inviabilize o seu sossego. Recomendo o Vista Sol por tudo e pelo preço compatível com os serviços oferecidos. Lesa meira
