I think it was a good hotel for the area. It was well located and we received friendly service. I appreciate how the hotel has renovated and upgraded their rooms.

Before purchasing the hotel I called to see how many bedrooms there were and I was told 2. When I got there there was one bedroom with both beds. This place ranges between the 3.5-4 star area. It is Great in terms of location, it is literally around the corner from all of the action on the strip. The customer service is excellent and its pretty quiet at night. however, there were a few things that irked me. 1) Majority of the channels do not work on the television. 2) The towels were dinged. […] im sure they were washed but the hotel needs to replace them 3) The texture of the sheets were slightly rough Pretty much its a hit or miss. This was the worst hotel ever in such a nice place. The noise from the air condition was so load you couldn't sleep. The bed gave me a back pain!!! Small, clean hotel. Great location on Collins Ave but room off street so pretty quiet at night. All kinds of restaurants, bars within walking distance. No parking at all, but garage one block away was $20 for 24 hours. Also shower very small, somewhat awkward.

Television channels were all snowy. The maintenance person could nit fix the problem. The water in the shower was cold, never got hot enough to step into the water. Basically, showered in the stall without stepping into the water. Quiet and clean room, good neighborhood, poor service. Room had a kitchenette, much appreciated.

We just wanted a cheap hotel for one night before we flew out the next day and this hotel was perfect. Basic compared to the other hotels we had stayed in Miami but very clean nice room and bigger than we expected (1 double and 1 single bed). Hotel is easy to miss at night so just know where you're going and then make sure to find parking. Room was spacious and comfortable. Newly renovated hotel which still smells of fresh paint. Hot water took forever and nearly gave it up for lost. No amenities to speak of. Overall this is one of many fine options on Collins Ave.

This Hotel is in an ideal location and we chose this hotel from Trip Advisor reviews. The Hotel is decorated nicely and looks to be renovated recently. What is not apparent from pictures or reviews is that the quality of the renovations are not of the greatest quality. Our room was 103- room has laminate flooring but most of the floor was uneven in […] many spots and bedroom door would not close due to the uneven floors. Air conditioners in bedroom and sitting room very loud. You could not turn down the fans without turning units off. Each room had a t.v. but unit only had one remote to operate both t.v's. Our room was at front of hotel and very loud. You could hear the doors and gate slam each time someone enter. The hotel doesn't seem to have any sound insulation as you could hear all the street noise and people conversing on the street. Noise started to quiet down around 3:00am. which would be fine if you didn't plan on sleeping until after this time. We had to check out around 8am to catch our flight and had no hot water. There is no hotel staff available until after 8am when I advised front staff that no hot water, I was advised that it takes a while for hot water to get going first thing in morning. Well we ran water for about 10 minutes and no hot water. Hotel staff should advise guests in advance. Another issue we found is that we could not figure our how to drain the bathroom sink. we left that puzzle and decided to finish washing up in kitchen sink Lesa meira

Not much of a lobby, and the rooms are small, but it's very clean and quiet enough at night that you can sleep . . . not a given in a SoBe hotel. I got a good last-minute rate through Hotels.com, and would stay there again, since it was good value.

The location is great - near lots of restaurants, the beach, etc. It still seems a bit run down even though it's touted as newly renovated - cheap floor and table lamps, no security lock on the door, no front desk service after midnight (I thought there would have been a nice info packet in the room with information about what to do in an emergency, […] etc, since the front desk is not always available, but there was nothing). Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quite large. Close to the beach, night clubs and all the eating spots however far enough away to be quiet when we wanted to sleep. Very good value.

Will Definently be staying here again. Enjoyed my stay. Room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is more like an apartment style hotel so don't expect expect breakfast in the morning or room service. It's in a great location with everything in walking distance, restaurants, shopping, and partying.

Positive stay all around. Close to all the action. One short block from South Beach & Ocean Drive. Washington St. boutiques and Espanola Way dining and shops are on the street behind this hotel. Lincoln Mall Road is 2 blocks away. Many good restaurants, popular night clubs, and bars are walking distance. Hotel is on a busy street but the noise level […] was non-existent on our second floor room. The walls are thin but there was little noise from our neighbors. Room was very clean, modern, and updated recently. It had a small microwave and refrigerator with dishes and utensils which made the vacation less expensive by not dining out for every meal during our 5 night stay. 24 hour markets on Washington St. and many liquor stores near by. Nice bathroom but a little tight. The black out window shades are a plus for late nights out. Free secured Wifi. The room door could use a lttle more reinforcement. Excellent and accommodating staff. Front desk closes around midnight during the week (opens later on weekends) and re-opens around 8am. Be sure to order toiletries before the front desk closes. Hotel is gated and fenced in with security cameras on premise. Key required to enter hotel. There is no public access which makes the hotel more private, quiet, and safe. The South Beach area in general can be a little shady at night especially on Collins Ave and Washington St. There are many pan handlers. Small patio along side of hotel for hanging out. Great location; walking distance to everything there is to do and see in South Beach. Staff were friendly and efficient. The a/c unit in the room was a bit loud that it drowned out the sound of the TV but became white noise after we got used to it. Love the decor in the room. Value for money.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Riviere South Beach. It is a very simple hotel, nothing flashy...no lounge bar, no porch seating area, no pool but great location and walking distance to beach, shops and restaruants. Nice and clean, comfortable beds. Great location, 1 block off the Ocean/Ocean Drive and a few blocks from Washington and Espanola Way. Metered street parking right in front or the hotel has a valet service for one rate and you can take your car in and out all day.

for the money we paid for the hotel, it was a small room. there was no breakfast and we had to pay our own parking fee. However the staff was friendly and helpfull. The room was new and clean.

This hotel was very close to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. It was walkable to all the restaurants and shops that we wanted to go to. Overall cleanliness was good. The only complaint that we have is the moldy smell in the room.

We were 6 people in our travel group (including 2 kids and a severely handicapped, wheel chair bound person). Part of our family would arrive with jet lag from Germany so we searched for a hotel with an airport pick-up, breakfast and pool....We thought we found the place 'Hotel Riviera' in Miami,South Beach. We booked via Expedia.com and thought we […] were all set. Arriving at the Miami airport we were told no pick up shuttle available and we should take a taxi. Upon arriving we learned that there was no pool or breakfast....Imagine the disappointment of this very tired family. It turned out that there are two hotels in South Beach with a very similar name: Hotel Riviere and Hotel Riviera! We were booked into the wrong hotel. The amazing front desk concierge Daniela at the "wrong" hotel Riviere turned our nightmare into a pleasent plan B experience. Her grace, humor and attitude made our SoBe visit a fun time. The rooms were clean and well equipped.The location central and only 1block from the beach. The entire (mostly argentinian staff) fabulous and friendly. The Riviere South Beach Hotel is conveniently located. It's walking distance from Espaniola Way (a short blocked off street with fabulous Mexican, Cuban, and Italian restaurants), the shops on Lincoln, and the beach. There's a grocery store right around the corner and because you have a fridge and small kitchenette right in your room it's ideal for […] saving some money on breakfast and lunch. We did have the room with the Murphy bed, which was really a leather futon. It was fine for a young, single person, but definitely wouldn't do for a couple. Opt for a room with two queen beds. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and we loved the patio area with tables and chairs. The area does become a little bit shady at night, but if you're with a group, it's fine.
