Absolutely superb in every aspect. The only thing I would change is the breakfast food wasn't anywhere near the quality of the other food served in the hotel restaurant.

We stayed at Serenity November 2012. We stayed in the suite and I couldn't believe the size of the room! It had everything we needed, including a French press! The room was extremely clean. The bathroom was huge! The staff was wonderful, too. There was one young gentleman we met during check-in that was particularly helpful and friendly. I wish I remembered […] his name. The breakfast buffet has just about everything and it was delicious. We had lunch at the restaurant, too and it was absolutely delicious. The pool was perfect and the grounds were well maintained. My ONLY complaint would be that the beach in front of the resort has a lot of broken glass. I don't think that is any fault of Serenity's. It seems to be common on lots of beaches in the area. If we return to Thailand, I would go out of my way to return to Serenity. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Lesa meira

Wasn't offered any help on reserving a trip to Phi Phi island...was handed the phone by the lady and had to make my own reservation...long story short, she ended up calling another tour company other than the company I preferred and gave her a number/brocure for...almost missed our tour on the last day we were there, larger mess than words can describe. […] Clean the rugs the in room...the rooms stunk because of it. Large shag rugs in humid beachy surroundings isn't a pleasant thing. The English by the staff was non-existent to poor which I believe led to reservation confusion. The "required" cab service outside the hotel is the most overpriced, non-negotiable, rudest on the island...not the motel's fault but is definitely an aspect of staying in this motel. The breakfast was good...lot of options, friendly staff. The bar and restaurant were good, the food was decent prices were reasonable. The grounds are very well maintained. The beach isn't a lounge beach but being by the water was nice. Lots of trash though...once again, not the motels fault. Watching TV before bed was actually enjoyable, good amount of channels. Likes: The rooms were clean twice per day so the hotel service was spot on. The hotel location was conveniently located in Rawai which is close enough to the beaches and local eating but far enough away from the city, that you felt like you were on vacation. The property is as reflected by the name: Serenity. However if you wish to have serenity while you are in the room, I suggest you take the room with seaview. Reason being: I took the serenity room which is right in front of the lift doesnt give you any peace especially in the afternoon. We are getting lots of slamming doors and told that "it is like […] that in the afternoon because people were checking out". I need to clarify that he staff wasnt rude in replying but I'm not impress either. Conclusion: dont expect serenity in the afternoon or serenity doesnt come with low rates. Lesa meira

We had problems from the first night we arrived, we ordered room service which did not show up until I called them again an hour after it was ordered. The food was really bad, cold and had rotten salad. I complained the next day and was told the manager would contact us. Only when we were to check out 5 days later and I refused to pay the room service […] charge the manager then came to apologize. The hotel it's self was nice our room was acceptable had a nice view of a brickwall. We kept losing power to the room and air con. The wi-fi was really bad. The most annoying thing was we booked the hotel shuttle bus to pick us up from Patong. We waited an hour and a half for it to pick us up and it never showed. I called them and they didn't know why, we waited for a while and called them again they then said it wasn't coming and we would have to find our own way back to the hotel. I complained about this relaying that if you book a service in a supposed 5 star hotel you expect it to be done. They never even tried to contact me to let us know it wasn't coming. We had a private dinner booked through the hotel for my wife's birthday which we cancelled due to their bad service. There is plenty of great hotels in Phuket which have great service, we won't be staying at Serenity again. Lesa meira

The hotel was very nice. Great view due to the fact it is on the water in Chalong bay. Though its on the water, you cannot really swim as there is a pretty significant tide and not much in the way of beach (however I did see the odd patron go in). The only restaurant on site in delicious and offers several theme nights that make it feel new every time, […] just slightly pricey by Thai standards (as most hotel restaurants are...). Very close to Chalong pier which is convenient for the phi phi tours. Quite far from Patong, so if you are going to Phuket to party, find somewhere closer (the hotel does offer daily shuttle service for those looking to go do some shopping). For romantic getaway for couples, first rate. Value only gets only an ok rating as the roos was somewhat small for the price compared to the other 7 hotels we stayed at throughout our trip, but they had what you needed, and were clean and micely appointed. Serenity Hotel indeed lived up to its name. A wonderful and relaxing Phuket experience far from the maddening crowd. Excellent food and friendly and helpful staff.

This was a really nice place to stay. We stayed 10 nights in a penthouse suite with Breakfast included. The location is quite (which we liked) however we hired a car at the airport so we had no problem getting around. The pool is nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. I used the gym a couple of times, it has a good range of equipment (x trainer, […] bikes, machines, weights, etc.) nearly as well equipped as my local gym and much better than most hotels. Also the wi-fi is fast and I got good connections in all the rooms, restaurant pool side etc. Front desk are very good. We booked a trip to Phi Phi islands through the activities desk that was great. We ate in the restaurant one night and had lunch in the Bar a couple of times as well as breakfast every day. The food was very good at the Serenity, prices are higher than outside but outside doesn't have the overheads so don't complain if you are worried about spending a couple of extra bucks. The beach in front of the resort is pretty but it’s not for swimming, stick to the pool or go over to Kata or Karon. We did take the resort’s sea kayaks out one day and that was fun but the tide has to be in. There’s a 7-11 across the road and a Tesco Lotus down towards Rawai beach. The laundry service from across the road was also very good and reasonably priced, we didn’t take any washing home. You can also hire a car or a scooter across the road if you want cheaper than the airport. We had a great time and cannot fault anything. Lesa meira

Had a wonderfully relaxing 4-day stay at Serenity In June, 2012. Great service from the staff; had two spa treatments on two different days and both were delightful. Two issues for prospective travelers: 1) the hotel is far from the airport ($40-50 depending on the service you take), and also far from most other areas of Phuket. This was fine for me […] since I needed to relax and didn't even leave the resort until my last full day. However, if you're someone who likes to explore you have to build in extra time to get around. 2) the breakfast was expensive (if you didn't have it included in your room) and really overpriced for what you got. I also didn't find the food at the restaurant to be especially good. In fact, it was rather bland. I don't know if they were trying to dull down the spiciness for non-Thai travelers, but if so, they really did a disservice to us all. With the hotel being far from the rest of town, other eating options were limited unless you were willing to travel to get there (which I was not). The hotel is located on a main road near the south eastern end of the island, away from all the crowds of the west shore. Our room was a huge suite with a partial ocean view and full kitchen, although we didnt cook in the room. We ate a few dinners at the hotel restaurant and found the food exceptional. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of variety, including an omlette station where the cook would fry up whatever you wanted. The pool area is fantastic, with great ocean views everywhere in the pool/bar/restaurant area. We watched a great lightning show over the ocean two nights while eating dinner and later from our balcony at our room. I absolutely am so thrilled with our experience at the Serenity!! It was outstanding!! It was a bit away from all the shopping and night life in Patong but we rented a motorbike and was easy to get back and forth.. It is so nice and quiet there, easy to relax.. Our room was great!! Clean, BIG, beautiful view, and it had very good air conditioning!!!! […] We were there for 10 days and it went by too fast, we plan to go back in about 5 months but this time it would be for at least a month so it may be too pricey to stay there but if I were presented with the opportunity to head back there, I would not even think twice about it!! A great hotel. The "Serenity Room", the smallest of the rooms available, is very nice and great for a short stay. This is a fantastic resort. It's the second time we have been there. First time was 2 years ago when the hotel was just a year old. We loved it so much that we decided to come back. My advise is if you going to stay in this hotel do hire a car has there is nothing to do around the hotel. We had a very relaxing 10 days in the hotel. Could have not asked […] for better place to stay. We had a car so we were able to go to to Patong or other places quite often. The only feedback I'd like to give is that the entertainment on Sunday is really back. The guy who goes there to sing can't really sing. Get someone else who can sing the job. Booked this stay at the last minute and wasn't sure about it since I have traveled around Southeast Asia and know what surprises are out there as far as hotels go. I traveled with my husband, 3 yr. old son and our helper. What a pleasant surprise Serenity Resort turned out to be!! I had booked a 2 bedroom suite and was told we had been given an upgrade […] upon arrival to a 3 bedroom suite. The 'suite' turned out to be an apartment with 3 levels. First level were the bedrooms, all with private baths. Second floor was the kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen was complete with coffee maker, toaster, oven, full size fridge and dishes, silverware, pots. There was a balcony off the master bedroom and off the living area. The balcony off the living area had stairs going up to our own private rooftop jacuzzi, barbecue and sun loungers. The resort is only a couple of years old, so everything was in working order and tastefully decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and polite the entire stay. Breakfast in the restaurant had a wide variety to choose from, our son was pleased to find pb and jelly. Room service was delivered quickly. We did use the resort taxi, which is a nice car with wi-fi. Our son enjoyed the playroom and the pool, which has an area that is shallow for the little ones. No beach area to play on, which could be a drawback for some, when the tide is in the water is close to the pool, but the view was stunning. I had no complaints and would definitely return. On arrival we were given a very welcome cold fruit drink and a cold towel to refresh. The check in was fast, efficient and friendly, then we're of to our room. Golf buggy transfer! The room was lovely, very clean and spotless but it was small, the bathroom again very clean but didn't have a bath tub only shower and his and hers wash basins. No view […] either only the room in the next building. We only booked a standard room so we weren't unduly disappointed, but my husband thought he'd ask if there was an alternative. The staff were very helpful and offered to upgrade us the next day as at that time they were full. We were delighted with the solution and spent a very comfortable night in the standard room. The restaurant was beautiful, fantastic views and fabulous food. Run very efficiently and professionally. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always interested in your day. The breakfast is superb, plenty of variety. The pool area is kept very clean and the pool guys were excellent in keeping everything smart and comfortable. You do have to be on your toes if you want a front line bed, we were never up early enough! The pool towels were always fluffy and fresh. Our room upgrade was fantastic, we had a pool villa townhouse, stunning. Our whole time there was perfect, so good inI fact we have booked to go out again! Book this hotel and you won't regret it!! We were spoiled by our experience at Serenity. They were able to upgrade us to one of their sea view suites after we arrived for just a few dollars more per night. Spa was excellent, food was superb. What a pleasurable experience.

Amazing quiet resort in picturesque Rawai. Away from the chaos of Patong, but still close enough to take a taxi or hire a scooter there at your leisure. The staff were polite and helpful to extremes. My only qualm was a private party that was scheduled for Thursday night, canceling the weekly Aquaterra event, that played quite loud music and took over […] the pool, bar and restaurant areas. The music was loud, but a quick phone call to reception resulted in it being turned down to a more reasonable level straight away. The air-con is very cool. Water pressure is strong enough. Hot water is functioning well. Kitchen, shower room and etc all 100% satisfaction. The services of their front-desk staffs and the room service teams are very prompt, first class and efficiency. They are very helpful, friendly, and importantly, they... smile always. We like these smile. They really provide us a utmost hospitality there. Serenity is very nearby Rawai beach. Must visit Sea Gypsy Village at Rawai beach to buy own LIVE and fresh seafood and ask restaurant opposite to cook. Walk out from Serenity, turn left and walk few minutes down to enjoy a relaxing Thai massage just 600THB for 2 hours. Please rent a motorbike (ranging from 250 to 300THB) to travel around. Rawai beach, Kata beach, Karon beach and Nai Harn beach is just nearby to Serenity. Do not worry, their signboard is clear enough to lead you. For sure, Serenity is nearby to Promthep Cape (beautiful sunset), Kata View Point (nice scenery), Big Buddha @ nakkerd hill and Wat Chalong. Please rent a vehicle to explore around. Thanks for Serenity for our great stay there!!! We definately will come back again. Tip: Shopping at Patong. The choices are plenty and variety. Bear in mind to negotiate ok!!! A beautiful, secluded hotel with a stunning view of the sea. Great for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Sadly, the only downside is the unfriendly front reception girl, who does not give you the welcoming feeling. Love the HUGE apartment with big bathtub, spacious living room & balcony ! wanted to even extend our stay :) but surroundings and beach is a big turnoff :( luckily the hotel has free shuttle services to town (for shopping etc) & to patong / Nai harn beaches :D in-house restaurant was above average so overall it was a pleasant stay

The hotel is very beautiful with very nice and helpful staff! The location of the pool is fantastic and very well maintained. The whole complex in general is very clean and perfectly maintained. I have been in a lot of hotels and this is one of the best i have ever been. The only kind of non positive point is the location of the hotel. To get to Patong […] Beach or to Phuket town you need to hire a taxi and this can get costly after a while. But for people who are more looking for a relaxing "not much activity" vacation it is a perfect place, since it is a quite area. Also families with children will have a great time staying there. Had a great stay at this hotel. It is very serene and beautiful. The room was just as promised and every morning I could see the sun rise from my balcony. My rate included breakfast and the breakfast had everything from sushi to omelets, bacon, ham, cheeses, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, friend rice, friend potatoes, tomatoes, pai tai, breaks, coissants, […] pastries, cereals, juices, fresh fruit...it was so wonderful....breakfast is serves right by the pool and bay. Loved this hotel....close to Phuket City and other near beaches. Definitely do the Siam elephant trek and trip to Phi Phi Island..... Lesa meira

Hotel is quite a bad location from airport and from a good beach however the pool and hotel is amazing ! But the main problem for me was the price of the food and drink they charged me 5 euros for a juice at breakfast and the food was very over pirced and due to its location good restaurants were hard to find

The Serenity Resort is on a strip of beach that is beautiful. The pool area is very relaxing and overlooks the beach. It is only a 5 minute drive to the restaurant strip along Rawai beach and there is plenty of choice of restaurants. The Serenity Room has a balcony that is tiny and the outlook is not good. We were treated like royalty, from the golf cart that would drive us to our room from the reception area, to the buffet breakfast a la carte which gets cooked while you wait. It was lovely. The spa treatments were more expensive than other places, but the amount of service and attention that was given was lovely. The pool was stunning, large and spacious. The beach would not be for swimming in the morning but during the afternoon the tide was in and it was nice, although we chose to swim in the pool rather than the beach. The hotel is about a 15-20minute drive from Patong, but it was nice to come back to the quiet of Chalong Bay where you dont get hassled as much. The hotel is located in a very remote and run down location. There is no transportation what so ever. Only private cars with drivers without meters or any regulation. The nearest point of interest is about 10 min by car and batong beach is more than 35 minutes away. No restaurants are nearby AT ALL. Unless guests are planing to spend the WHOLE time […] in the hotel, there in NOTHING to see near or in a walking distance. I STRONGLY recommend NOT to stay there !
