Great Hotel, there are a rew hotels in this group so make sure you know which one you are renting. Great location, staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely stay there again.

I liked the hotel and the location. The neighborhood was alright. But cable in the room sucked.

The photo of the hotel at your sight is not the one I stayed in. I was mislead into thinking it was a 3 star but it was a 1 or 11/2 at the most. They also charged a $10 per night for parking which was not mentioned on your sight. I trusted booking thru your sight before but I am not sure now.

Came for business and ended up being mostly leisure. Their heated poolside the cherry in top for me. Johnny from the front desk was very helpful. He even printed out directions to go to my business meeting the next day. I am a frequent traveler and I have no complains. Keep up the good work.

Great staff, great place, GREAT location. I will definitely go back. Rooms were impeccable. Strong wifi.

The room had a funny smell to it, but didnt let that bother me because it had a five star view of the beach. Hotel staff was wonderful.

It is old Florida. Cleanliness is ok. Location is great! Parking is a problem but hotel knows this and tries to accommodate. Not for everyone but a good value.

Dirty, missing pieces of flooring/wall cover. When walked in smelled liked bleach, couldn't get rid of smell through the entire time of stay. You would think with such strong smell of a cleaner it would at least be clean... No, definetely not it.

The price was amazing. The internet was lousy. They told me a meeting was taking place to work on it. I hope for a good resolve. I was lost without my internet. The girl at front desk was so cute see gave me a beer for my toubles. It made me laugh. ds

Hotel is older but clean and the location was great. We loved being able to walk to the beach and walk the "boardwalk."

I was pleasantly surprised! My family and I were satisfied overall.

Cleanliness of room not maintained over time. Dust in every corner of the room, behind bed and dresser. Clock radio & lamp on dresser but no outlet to plug it in. No electrical outlet in bathroom for hair dryer, etc. Top shelf in closet so dusty that you couldn't put clothes on it. Also, the floor underneath the air conditioner by the window was so […] dirty, not sure it had ever been cleaned. Microwave was very dirty, so much food stuck at the top that it was hanging. Top of cupboards dirty as well. Would not stay there again even though location was excellent. Sheets on the bed were clean and towels looked clean but the overall condition of the room was terrible. Hotel was a reasonable value, however, we did not expect to have to pay $10 a day extra to park at the hotel! We were required to pay this to have a "parking pass" that allowed us to park at the hotel that we had already paid for a room at.

This is an old motel with a makeover. It is close to the beach and boardwalk but closer to the highway traffic. It is kept clean in the room but has a basic shower and old old mattress. I thought the hotel would be near the water but it was 1/4 mile away and facing the main drag. Everything was very old and outdated including the sheets which had holes in them.

This hotel has very nice location two block from amazing beach! Overall hotel was not good, needs some good cleaning and update! Very nice people at the front desk but stuff girls screaming outside our room every morning! No toilet paper or clean towels. I would recomend to pay a little extra and stay somewhere esle.

The hotel had no control of their reservations and emptied our stuff from the romm one day in advance. Everything in a total mess together with some belongings disappearing. Lot's of staff but no-one wanting to clean the room or general areas.

As Bette Davis said in "beyond the forest"....What a dump. The room was shabby dingy and filthy. The door was hanging off the hinges and not secure. Parking was ridiculous.

My only complaint was the parking wish there were reserved spaces but parking is always an issue in Florida. The room was very nice it was very clean with a full size refrigerator, range/oven, and all the pots pans and table settings for four. The rooms are only a couple hundred feet from the beach. North Hollywood beach is now my favorite area beach! The area is as close as you can be to the wonderful and friendly Ft Lauderdale Airport. You can easily rent a car or choose to take public transportation. Local buses are friendly and the riders are more than helpful in terms of giving change or helping you with a stop. Ugly American or Rich Europeans […] have already taken a taxi to a highrise hotel so the bus is always a place for a rich experience. Those who end up at Hollywood Beach Hotel will be treated with a diverse crowd of Europeans, Africans, Islanders and American alternative travelers. The hotel has an old school family owned feeling and perhaps an upgrade will be offered for a few more dollars or for free. I came in by Tri-Rail to Sheridan Station and was loured by an "unofficial" cab driver. Call the hotel get specific direction and set a price of 10 bucks to avoid a "bate and switch" or take an official cab or bus. Lesa meira

Just got home from my stay at this hotel. The room was infested with roaches. I killed at least six while I stayed there. Asked the guy at the front desk after the first night to spray and he said they would do it. The way that he said it, you could tell he was just blowing me off. Nobody ever sprayed, nobody ever came to clean. When I checked out, […] I did tell the lady at the front desk and she was apologetic. She was the only helpful person at the hotel. Everything was perfect. Johnny was very much helpful in assisting me and getting everything taken care of with my reservation. Wish I could have stayed longer.

My Wife And I Stayed Here During The Layover After A 5 Day Bahama Cruise, And I Feel That This Place Is/Was As Much Relaxing And Fun As Our Cruise (Without The Included Food Of Course) :)

Great places to eat near-by and Boardwalk was just feet away and lots of fun-beach was great !

Fanatastic staff, 60 steps from the beach, very clean, got a huge apartment (3BR, balcony, living room, & separate kitchen) for great rate because booked at the last minute. Small-town atmosphere, crowded neighborhood but quiet all night, & very friendly residents, plus very close to dozens of eateries & bars either on the boardwalk or watching the […] sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway at Tiki Bar 3 blocks down across the street, Didn't need rental car at all. Nice location by the boardwalk along the Beach. It was quiet and updated. It is closed to restaurant.The breakfast was the downfall. A piece of sandwich bread with a wrap cheese. Plan you breakfast somewhere else.

OUR ROOM WAS AN ADD ON TO A BUILDING. WHILE THRY SAID IT WAS NEW IT WAS OKAY. THE WASHER AND DRYER FOR THE COMPLEX WAS OUTSIDE MY WINDOW WHICH HAD TO REMAIN SHUT FROM THE PEOPLE SMOKING. Came here with my wife and parents. Got both rooms upgraded. Rooms were exceptionally clean and smell nice. Only thing I didn't like about the place was that I couldn't park the cars in front of our building. I had to park I the next building but it was still part of the hotel. We will be back. (=

This was our first time in South Florida. This hotel was recommended by my brother who came last year with his family. We booked two rooms. One for me and my husband and one for my in-laws. This was a one night stop before we went to Disney the next day. The hotel was glowing with lights and had very relaxing music through the property. We got there […] and was greeted by a nice young lady. The owner was there and gave us room upgrades for both rooms. The rooms were very clean. The bed was cozy. Breakfast was included. Check in was a breeze. Front desk was very friendly. I got to my room and it was very clean. It had everything you needed. And a nice flat screen. Good thing I got there on a Sunday. Apparently, this hotel has a HUGE cocktail party every Sunday. Free drinks, free food, entertainment and karaoke! I got a chance to speak to the owner Mark. Very nice […] guy. All the other guest knew him by name and he was very involved. The hotel is literally a minute walking distance from the beach. So that was a definite plus! The front desk also has a little convenient store and the prices were reasonable. What my wife enjoyed the most was the heated pool. I personally enjoyed the fact that the hotel had gas grills FOR FREE! I cooked some steaks for dinner. The room had the plates and eating utensils. Overall this was a great experience. I have stayed in other hotels in the area before and this is by far the best one. I live in the area and my wife and I wanted a one night get away and we got exactly that. We rented 2 rooms. One was adequate, the other was not. We were only there one night so it was ok. Nice area, wonderful beach...

Three things that are a must for me. Cleanliness, consistent hot water and heat/cool room. The best I can say is the room was cool and I didn't see any bugs. The floors were nasty and I would rather walk outside. The bathroom had little black hairs all over it and so I took a shower with my sandels on and refused to take them off. While taking a shower […] the water would go from super hot to super cold so I was constantly adjusting the temperature and that didn't help much. We were promised a balcony with a ocean view. No Balcony and no ocean view. Stay at the Marriott down the street. Worth the extra money!! Lesa meira

To begin with they advertise something... When you get there, guess what , not what you were thinking. So here it goes : I did a late check in, to start no parking at all had to go around for 40min and had to park far away from the hotel. The room was filthy , the bathroom never saw a bathtub like that, had mold around and sand in the tub. Beds were […] dirty , the AC was not working, not enough towel this is all the first night. I left early the next day, when I came back at night, no parking again!!the girl from the office wanted to give wine if I paid for the street parking! I said no and she paid for it (remember they charge $10 per day) I was not going to spend more money. When I got to the room it was the same way when I left in the morning, went down stair to get more towel and she told I had to make a request for the towels and the cleaning... !!guess what they did not have extra towels! It was hot as hell and the poor girl was trying to help me and the others guests who were having the same issues I was having. But wait, remember they say "BREAKFEST" do not eat there, while I was waiting for the girl from the office to come, I saw the coffe maker, cups, plates, bags of breads and cereal on the FLOOR!!Everything was there on the floor!!Then we went to bed, next morning no toilet paper , just so you know we were 7 people with no towels and toilet paper! This hotel is very close to the beach which was great. You definately get what you pay for but the room was good for the price. I enjoyed it and again it is close to the beach and some nice resturaunts.

Location is amazing...walking distance to the beach. I got a good deal from Hotels.com even though it was Valentines Day. Every hotel in the neighborhood was booked. The hotel charged me parking fee which was not mentioned by the hotels.com rep which I can understand being on the beach but I don't like surprises. Room was OK with a small kitchen and […] a small TV. The bathroom was smelly and the linens were not changed. I could see blood stains on the sheets. I went there for an interview and didn't have much time to complain. But again it could be just me..... Lesa meira

Good location, 50 ft from the beach and not too far from affordable restaurants with excellent food. Room needs updating big time.

The good this hotel is very convenient to the beach and boardwalk. They have a visitors welcome party every Sunday afternoon which is a nice touch. Now for the bad. The room although looks clean enough, I don't think they changed the sheets before we came in. The ceiling fan was white and very dirty. The room was marked as a convenience room but the […] stove had 2 elements and neither would boil water, the fridge was Ok. There were no tea towels or dish cloths or dish soap. If you are expecting the Hilton, you won't be satisfied. But if you want to experience Hollywood Beach in refurbished motel from the 40's,50's, then this is a quaint little studio room (we had) that was clean, comfortable, and the location cannot be beat. I could step out my door and see the beach and boardwalk. Marc, the manager, was non stop working […] to make everyone happy. I've stayed at the Trump Towers and I've stayed at some real dumps, but they had just the right atmosphere to make it an enjoyable stay. The unknown $10 a day parking permit was a bit of a shock, but where can you park for cheaper. The huge new Marriott charged three times that.
