This hotel is fine but not great. The rooms are spacious and clean. The airconditioning was not great and the sleepless comfort mattress were really uncomfortable beacause they didn´t work and the highest point in the bed was the middle. The swimmingpool is great and we really liked the free parkingspace. The only thing that we were really disapointed with was the free breakfast buffet. Really little to choose from and often it ran out and you had to wait for more. The last two days we went to have breakfast outside the hotel. But overall this hotel is nice and fine but not great.

I was visiting from the SF bay area for a wedding in Aliso Viejo and stayed at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort/fashion of the rooms. Nice color scheme, nice bedding and sheets, quiet modern climate control, nice shower with good water pressure. Honestly, the nicest hotel room that I have stayed in outside […] of Vegas. I happened to forget a razor, and the front desk brought me up a complimentary one. They were really friendly too. Close proximity to ATMs, food, and gas was helpful. Also, when I called ahead telling them that I was going to be getting in at 2-3am, they pre-checked me in before I got there so I could get right to bed. Great hotel, great stay. Lesa meira

This hotel is very nice as is the staff. Just two things made my stay a bit less than perfect. The hotel is located close to a freeway with the noise that brings. The hotel has taken measures to amelierate this with double or as I was told quadruple rated windows. The other problem was specific to me on the second night of my stay was thumping noise […] from above into the wee hours of the morning. I called the staff twice. They were extremely understanding and helpful. They searched out the problem and took steps to stop the noise. In addition, they left a complimentary breakfast pass under my door which I felt was very classy. All in all, my stay at HI Irvine South was great. Lesa meira

Great stay for the money - very close to Leasure World for seeing family seniors. We will return.

Hotel was nice and modern. Had a comfortable stay but would ask next time not to be on the 2nd floor by the banquet rooms. There was a holiday party and it was kinda noisey.

The rooms were nice and modern. The food at the restaurant was suprisingly good. Loved the breakfast! I would stay here again. Great hotel if you are out in the Lake Forest area but live in the LA area and want to avoid the late drive home.

This is a very nice and affordable newish hotel. Pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was considering its close proximity to the freeway and offramp. It is in a very convenient Irvine location. Would definitely stay there again.

This place overall more then met my expectations. I like that it was under 2 miles to verizon amptheather where I went to see a concert. I would very recommend this hotel to friends. I think the shuttle service is a good thing. I will come back to this place for other events in Irvine or Lake Forest.

We attended a wedding in Laguna Hills and chose this hotel for its proximity to the reception place. My wife and I were impressed of the hotel"s cleanliness and atmosphere. I would stay at this hotel again and definitely recommend it to others.

I stayed at this hotel for a concert at verizon ampatheder, and for that reason it was very close. This was a typical hotel, nothing special.

This was a a very nice to stay. Only thing I did not enjoy was how hot and stuffy it was in the room right when I arrived. But it was a great stay!

Definitely one of the better Holiday Inns. Everything nice, new, and well designed. Pool and fitness center a little small but in good condition.

The hotel is nice and clean. It's easy access from highways. I paid extra for breakfast. The breakfast is not worth the money.

The housekeeping/Staff were Great! Prompt room service delivery, easy parking. Only complaint; the hotel increased my daily rate by $49 Per night to stay an additional week. The Assistant Manager on duty, informed me in a" take it or leave it" way, there was no rate reduction available. So, I left, checked into a Beach Location! "Overall good experience, with two exceptions"
The hotel was nicely decorated, clean, had good service and was close to Verizon Amphitheater where we attended a concert. Only complaints...we booked a room for 4, but there was no pull out couch or any other place for more than two to sleep...kids had to sleep on the floor. Also purchased the breakfast buffet package, but found out after arriving […] that it meant a voucher toward the buffet that only covered two of us...would skip that option next time because the reason we paid for the buffet was to avoid paying an additional cost during our trip for breakfast...weird? I loved this hotel! Lots of free parking, nice lobby with a restaurant and bar, helpful front desk staff, clean and nicely appointed room with a small refrigerator and microwave, great bath with a good shower head. I could actually wash the shampoo out of my hair! Comfy beds. The windows were extra sound proof. The freeway is close by, and I couldn't […] hear it...important for me as I'm sensitive to sounds when I'm sleeping. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Room was beautifully decorated. Bed was so comfortable and I liked having a choice of firm or soft pillows. Restaurant breakfast was delicious and a good menu to choose from. I would stay here again. Oh, and only about 15 minutes from Laguna Beach!

We loved it. Absolutely loved it. Clean and inviting. The only thing that annoyed me were the snobby desk people. It probably didn't help that we came in from the beach and were pretty dishelved and sandy, but hey we wanted to clean up and go get some dinner. Other than that FABULOUS,

We were very happy with our stay here. The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were visiting relatives and visiting some local theme parks . The hotel was conveniently located right off the freeway, and was easy to find. There were local restaurants and fast food places in a shopping center very close by. […] The price is right too! A great find. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Quiet on the weekend and lots to do around the hotel.
Very quiet and clean. I was in town for a big Dodge car show, so covered parking was a must. My car was dry and beautiful while close to 1000 other cars at 2 other local hotels where covered w rain when we all woke up. The rooms were clean, and spacious. The best part was the FREE breakfast. WOW, real breakfast. Eggs, bacon, the whole 9..... Although […] room service was not included in the FREE meal, the staff was more than willing to still bring it up to me. I was in a big hurry to get to my show at 6:30 in the a.m... Five star Hospitality at a great price. Thank you all for making me feel welcomed... I definatly will b back soon. Lesa meira
"What an Irvine DEAL!!"
Excellent deal. The hotel was clean, modern and had all the right amenities. The free breakfast was order off the menu and served possibly the best French toast I have ever had. Excellent - highly recommend!
