Terrible car park. Have to pay £6 a night and it was cramped and full-up. Comfortable beds but very spartan, functional style rooms.

the only downside was the plasterboard partitions between each room i believe dont have much acoustic properties in them as we could hear our neighbours throughtout our stay

We had reason to stay in Ipswich for two nights and were well received and supported by Gemma and her team, including Adam who deserves special mention for being so attentive at dinner. "Contemporary and comfortable"
The hotel is of contemporary design throughout. Room is airy, clean and comfortable with all the essentials for a pleasant stay. I particularly like the en-suite which is bright and spacious. "Ramada Encore Ipswich - excellent"
I stopped here for 1 night midweek, cannot fault the hotel. The staff were very friendly & very helpful. There's not much parking at the hotel but there is an overflow car park nearby. Would definitely stop here again.

"The Hotel Ramada Encore, Ipswich"
The main issue i had with the hotel is that there is no parking at the hotel only for about 20 cars, ok it is not far to walk to the car park across the river put that is ok if your not on your own and its not at night, and of course if you have no bags, the staff were ok, and the room was fine if you were just travalling through.

We booked into this hotel for a visit to family who live in Ipswich but don't have the spare room for Guest's. There was a slight glitch in the booking process somewhere along the line, and when we came to book into the family room we had reserved & paid for it turned out that there wasn't one available. The manager soon had the problem resolved and […] put us into a dissabled room (lots more space) and made a really comfortable bed up for our daughter without cluttering up the room. we had the most amazing wet room/bathroom which again had so much space to manoover. Also threw in a free breakfast for our 3 mornings, delicious selection to choose from. We used the off site car park, which I was initially unsure of as it sounds like some distance away on the web site but in fact is really easy to access and not too far to walk at all (I have problems with walking due to back/leg problems and even I found the distance easy). All in all we had a really good experience with the hotel, really friendly helpful staff, clean light rooms, and will certainly be booking with them again in the future. Lesa meira
"Ramada, Ipswich"
hotel clean, new modern, near walking distance to town centre........big downer is the parking or lack of it. When there was a space in the small car park we were charge £6. When there was no space you had to park it far away and still have to pay!! other car park hotel recommends has limited info so you dont know what to pay!
My wife and I needed a place to stay the night before visiting the Sutton Hoo site. This hotel filled that role just fine, though it hardly wowed us. The location near the rail station was convenient. The modernist decor - about which we had been warned - was indeed strong and not to our tastes, but it hardly ruined a decent night's sleep. "Never slept in such a hard bed - otherwise OK"
I stayed here for business as it was close to the office. The hotel is modern and clean with welcoming staff. I stayed in an Executive room which was at the back (less noisy) part of the hotel. It was fairly basic but the small settee was a nice addition. The room and bathroom were clean and the furnishings were sufficient. But the bed was HORRIBLE! […] I have never slept (or tried to sleep) on such a hard mattress. I still have a stiff neck and back ache after a week. The Exec room gave 10% off food and beverages and no charge for room service tray charge (normal tray charge is £4.00). My dinner was excellent. Breakfast was typical buffet fayre but unless you get an inclusive rate, I'd not say it was worth the £9.95 charge. Again, pleasant staff and a clean and spacious dining area. I didnt use the car park this time as previously had my car damaged by an adjacent driver as the spaces are fairly tight. I won't stay again only because of the bed comfort...other than that, it represents relatively good value for money, is in a good location for the station and football ground side of Ipswich and is modern and clean. "Great hotel for the price"
I stayed at the Ramada Encore Ipswich the weekend of the Suffolk Great Swim. The hotel is in a convenient location for the train station and the town centre isn’t to far away. The room was very large with a sofa which was great as I get fed up watching the TV on a bed, it is much nicer to have a proper seat. The room is a little basic, plastic cups […] instead of glasses, no shampoo etc provided only shower gel and hand soap but there again the price reflects this. My only complaint about the hotel would be my key to my room didn’t work and I had to go back to reception two times before I got a key to work. The reception staff were very apologetic and came up with me to my room after the second time to make sure I could get into the room. I will be back in Ipswich next year to do the swim again and will defiantly stay there again as it was cheap, clean and comfortable. Lesa meira
"avoid if you are going with your family with kids"
The hotel carpark was full and we had toough time finding a place to park ( and got charged £5 anight parking charge for twon night stay at surprise),poor welcome at reception at the evening as they were short of staff at the front desk (just 1 person has to serve drinks while we with young children had to wait long time to check in), hotel double room […] wasnt anywhere enough for a family of 4 including 2 children as it was relatively small and not much air to move around, only had 3 pillows provided for 4 people,hotel phone number cards were missing,they could not offer breakfast room service,no cupboards or shelves in rooms to keep the cloths and things in,no chance of getting a cotbed for our baby due to no-space in, however clean,quiet rooms with tea coffee facilities in is the only positive to say, final word : this hotel is recommended for single or couple adult travellers but no no if you care taking your family with children, we willavoid this hotel next time, nevertheless visiting suffolk was a nice experience Lesa meira

A fairly new hotel close to the railway station. The checkin service was good if a little rushed. Room was clean and comfortable, but the internet connection did not appear to function. Did not use the restaurant so can not comment on that. Check out was not good. Asked for a receipt and could not supply me with one. Spent some time trying to resolve […] before I had to leave to avoid being late for a meeting. Update on parking. This hotel has very limited on site parking but they have arranged local parking for guests. I think it's chargeable but something to check with the hotel before you book. Lesa meira
"Modern, clean hotel. Parking a problem"
First the good points: Our room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, small sofa, large flat-screen TV and stylish shower room. If that is all you are looking for I'd recommend the Encore. Then the bad points: The staff appeared to have had no training at all in making guests feel welcome - no greeting, no smile, it was more like the processing […] of an order at a fast food restaurant. But the worst for us, and the reason we probably won't return to the Encore, was the parking. There are vehicles packed in front of the hotel that you have to pick your way through to get to reception, but there was no room here so we had to park in a tatty alternative car park a quarter of a mile away. This is a new hotel. It is not in the city centre so I would imagine most guests arrive by car. How could the planners not have made better provision for parking?? Lesa meira
"Car parking problem"
Lovely hotel let down by very limited car parking. Lots of 'work' vans in car park, thought they were still working on hotel but was told they were guests on contract for BT. Stayed 3 nights and every night was very anxious about getting back early to secure a place in car park. Be very careful where you park outside the barrier, ask the receptionist […] if you are 'ok' along the side wall as you will be wheel clamped if you stray off hotel property. Alternative parking at Gala Bingo (5-10 minutes walk and poorly lit), well I would not have been happy leaving my car there. How silly to build this lovely hotel knowing car parking would be so limited! Will be regular visitors to Ipswich but will not book there again. What a shame ..... Lesa meira

Ligger kun få minutter å gå fra togstasjon og fotball stadion. Hyggelig betjening og fine rom.
