All very clean, the breakfast varied and good and the staff very helpful day and night. The location was the compromise I aimed for, between the location of my meetings and the city centre, with more or less half-an-hour's walk either way.

You could easily walk to the Spanish steps (25 minutes), colleseum (10 minutes) and other sights. The lady in the breakfast room is outstanding. The double rooms are very small but that is to be expected in the center of Rome. If you are lucky and get a 3 bed room for 2 people, then it is very spacious. Francesco will bend over backwards to make your stay a good one and so will the rest of the staff. Breakfast iis very good and plenty of it and the lady that serves is a angel on earth. Restaurants and cafes are very expensive in the neighborhood but either a 8 euro taxi ride or the metro to a neighborhood called Trastivera will get you to where the Romans eat, drink and play. The food is excellent and you can easilly get a meal for two with a bottle of wine for about 21 euros Ristorante Ivo is great, get there early as there is a line to get in but well worhj it. There is a large cheap supermasrket in the square in the basement on the way to Termini. The smaller markets are 3-4 times more expensive for water and other stuff is also much cheaper then at the various mini markets.. All in all we were very pleased with the Hotel Amalfi and will stay there again.

Regardless, the hotel receptionist went out of his way to accommodate us and had a room prepared for us as a priority and even had us upgraded to a superior accommodation to the one we had paid for. Excellent service.

Take the express train from the airport to Roma Termini and the hotel is a mere 3-4 min walk to the top of via Cavour. Most main sites 20 min walk from there.

We stayed for four nights at this lovely B&B in Rome and do not have a bad word to say about it. The location is perfect for seeing central Rome, almost opposite a lovely church, close to Piazza Narvona and the Pantheon. We walked to all the main sites from here. (But there is a bus stop and a taxi rank nearby if you prefer not to walk all the time). Our […] room (one of just 3) was extremely clean, warm and comfortable, with lots of storage space, and a small but adequate fridge big enough to store milk, wine, snacks and drinks. The B&B provided a hairdryer and iron but not coffee making facilities, however there is a small coffee shop opposite (where you have breakfast). Luckily we had taken a travel kettle, coffee and cups so we were able to buy fresh milk from the Spar along the road which we stored in the fridge. They also supply a safe, in your room, free of charge and a dvd player which played UK dvds and CDs so bring some if you like to chill in your room to recover from all the walking you will do. The BB owners ask you to advise them of your arrival time so that they can make sure someone is there to greet you. We had expected to arrive in the morning and emailed the owner, Andrea. He said that check in was not until 12.30pm but kindly offered to look after our luggage until we could get into the room. Check out time is early, I think it was 10am to give them time to clean the room properly, but again they agreed to look after our bags afterwards. As it turned out, on our last day Andrea very kindly said that as the room was not booked after us we could leave later. The flat does look over a busy square and junction, which can be quite noisy when the window is open, but with the window closed you hardly hear anything. The window also has great black out shutters, which are lovely if you want to have a lie in. The flat is on the 4th floor but there is a lift, which although looks very old, runs smoothly. "Perfekt"
Vi feiret bryllupsdagen vår i Roma og valgte denne gangen å bo her. Dette var vårt 3 besøk til Roma. Dette er et perfekt alternativ til Hotel. Rommet vi hadde var fin størrelse, god seng, aircondition som fungerte uten promblemer. Pluss for safe og gratis wi-fi. Rommet var rent og betjeningen meget hyggelig. Beliggenheten kunne ikke vært bedre. Ligger […] midt i hjertet av alt og moderne vinduer gir meget effektiv støydemping. Man hører knapt veien utenfor. Al Centro di Roma is a basic, clean and well maintained B&B in the middle of the Historical District of Rome. The location could not be better. The rooms are facing a busy street, but when closed the windows seal the noises from the traffic impressively. The AC worked well, and was really quiet. The bathroom was clean, the shower nice. The room had […] everything we needed, included a small fridge and an iron. One small complaint: The noise isolation between the rooms could be better. The breakfast, served at a small cafe across the street, was basic, but we loved sitting on the pavement having our italian breakfast while watching people walking, driving and scootering by.
