"Stay only if you want to be far from the city"
It is very convenient if you need something near the airport. The views are nice and the facilities are fine. However, it is very far from the city relative to other/better options for the same price in the city. It worked out for me since I ended up renting a car at the airport the next day and walking to pick it up, but I wouldn't stay here again […] . Lesa meira
"Modern Mantra Marina"
The motel is on the edge of town and close to the airport but does not suffer from airport noise. The facilities are very modern and the rooks and suites with a lake view are spectacular.it is well worth considering for a stay in Queenstown.

Reception service was outstanding. Had 2 hotel rooms reserved and was upgraded to very spacious 2 BR apartment. They also gave good advice and booked activities for us with nice discounts. Location outside of town but convenient since we were driving and parking in town can get pricey.

The rooms are spectacular, but make sure that you book a suite, NOT what they call a "hotel room." The latter a tiny, have no views and are noisy because they're on a very busy road. In contrast, the suites are some of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in: spectacular views of the lake and the mountains, very roomy, great kitchen, laundry.. The works. The […] hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly. A wonderful place. I would not recommend staying here if you don't have a car, because it's some distance from downtown. "A bit far from town, but serene"
This is more like a motel than the other Mantra hotels that I have stayed in, but it is comfortable and clean. There is no view from the hotel rooms, but the apartments in the front set of buildings have a nice view. The apartments in the back set of building are against the highway, so they are a bit noisier and do not have much of a view. "A really nice apartment just outside Queenstown"
We enjoyed our three-night stay at a two-bedroom apartment at the Mantra Marina earlier this month, and wish we had had more time to hang out there. The apartment was very spacious, tastefully decorated, lots of natural light, very clean, and had all the modern kitchen and other amenities we needed (washer/dryer, French press coffee maker, TV, wireless […] internet). We were unfortunate to not get a lake view apartment so would recommend that you specifically ask for apartments that have the lake view. Two minor drawbacks: (1) The wireless internet was quite slow - many sites did not load up because of speed (2) It's a 15 minute ride to Queenstown, and a 10 minute ride to Frankton shopping center - so you would need a car to get to either of these places. "Great Stay"
We enjoyed our stay at the Mantra Marina. The location was right on the lakes edge. We loved walking the Frankton path, which was right outside our door. The manager was very helpful in his suggestions of sights to see and also booking them for us. We would definately stay there again.
"New and fancy but a bit unfunctional"
Nice looking newish hotel. Rooms adjoin with apartments. No climate control, we had to open the windows which let bugs in. Check-in lady was lovely and helpful. A bit out of Queenstown (it's actually in Frankton). Table is too low to comfortably eat or do anything. Free wireless is a plus. Bed was comfortable. Shower is a bit stupid (water leaks under […] the door). I would probably stay somewhere else next time but it was very clean and generally comfortable. Lesa meira
"Great room, but insects if windows open at night"
I stayed at this property on 19 Nov 2011. The room is large and very comfortable. Highly recommended.My room was at the end of the lakefront section of apartments, and although I did not directly face the lake, I could see glimpses through the large side windows. I looked over the neighbour's garden which had couple of rabbits and ducks, and background […] views of the mountains. Tip: close all windows in the evening until you turn off the lights. I left the windows & curtains open as dusk fell, so unfortunately the lights attracted almost every insect in Queenstown. I spent a good 20 minutes trying to kill everything before I went to sleep and was (potentially) eaten alive. Lesa meira

The hotel is spacious, allowing room for the kids to run around. Kitchen well equipped, good size fridge. Family area with TV, DVD. Free availability of DVDs from office a bonus. Close to Frankton shopping area, not far from Queenstown. On lake with walking path. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms.

Staff courteous and helpful. Easy check in and check out. Alot of brochures available in the office. Room was nice and very clean. Good powerful shower. Bed comfortable. Only one luggage holder , so if traveling with someone, the other luggage sits on the floor. On the lakeshore. Not near town center (will need a car). On the main road. No sink in the […] studio, except for the one in the bathroom. No dinner size plates (only dessert size plates). Barbecue grill outside to cook, but difficult if only small plates are available. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Good walking track to the town and also good bus service. Very peaceful and relaxing by the lake. Would highly recommend hotel.

Amazing accommodations. New; complete in every aspect. View of lake and mountains. A center island kitchen. Dining on the balcony. I could live here comfortably for months!
We had booked a hotel room at this hotel but when we saw the apartments we asked if we could upgrade and were given a very good rate to do so. The apartments were extremely large, modern and comfortable with every amenity eg dishwasher, washing machine etc. also outside deck with lake view. We would recommend booking an apartment rather than hotel room […] and would certainly stay there again. Local bus into Queenstown and airport stopped outside hotel, so travelling around without a car was every easy. Lesa meira
We have a very nice & spacious 2 bedrooms unit with some view to the lake. We enjoy our stay there and the hotel is very close to shops and other facilities. We find the staff are friendly and helpful when we ask for things or information. We have a wonderful stay at Mantra and would go back there again next time.

Stayed in Room 405. Pros Good location- midway between airport and the town. Transport required. At lake edge. Excellent sized main bedroom, lounge, dining and kitchen- very spacious and modern. Good entertainment system. Liked the extra touch of DVDs that can be borrowed from reception. Cons. Would have preferred nonstick cookware since everything […] I tried to fry in the steel cookware would get stuck. The 2nd bedroom is rather small. It's also gets the traffic noise from busy Frankton Rd which runs a few meters behind it. Would have liked the room vacuumed every other day at least. Lesa meira

good quality accommodation in a reasonable but noisy location. I was assured it was well sound proofed but the 2 back rooms were less than 5m from the busiest road in queenstown - noisy. One of the site managers was very helpful but the other gave the impression that he just couldnt care less. Enough to ensure that i'll never take my family or any guests […] there again. Lesa meira

After reading all the reviews on Queenstown accommodation, decided an the Mantra at Frankton, only several minutes drive from the centre of Queenstown. We stayed in a one bedroom lakeside apartment.Very modern and comfortable, looking out onto the lake. Bus stop at the door and buses running every 15 minutes. We obviously had no vehicle however, were […] not advised by reception staff that we could obtain a reduced rate bus pass to use during our 8 day stay. Everything about our apartment was wonderful, however, we were disappointed with reception as the office was only open during the day and reception staff seemed very nonchalant about their guests ......customer service was very lacking. "Amazing view from the hotel"
When I first arrived at the accommodation, I couldn't believe the view of Frankton Arm/Lake. It was breathtaking! The bathroom definitely is wheelchair accessible as the door, shower and bathroom were designed that way. I wished my room was more inviting/warm feeling. Also, understanding that the hotel apt is eco-friendly, I had hope for separate hair […] cleaning product dispensers from the body wash/gel dispenser. Instead, it was a 3 in 1 dispenser. Also, I don't need my linens changed everyday (as I was only there for 2 nights) but would like for the bathroom to be vacuumed. As a girl with long hair, strands of hair are inevitable after every blow dry. I do wish the sink/counter was wider for toiletries. The heated tiles in the bathroom was a nice touch. The heater in the room worked as well. The LCD TV on the wall could have been bigger (13 inches is quite tiny) especially if that's all that is hanging on the wall. The staff (Wayne and Russell) were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and advice. The hotel is a bit far from the town center, but you can easily take a bus there and will take you there in 10-15 minutes. The bus stop is a few steps away. Very convenient. The airport is only a few stops away too. No need to take a cab as the bus fare was only $4NZ to the hotel. Again, the bus practically drops you right in front of hotel. The reception is only open from 8am to 7pm. But if there is something urgent, you can call the "operator" and they will respond to your request (I didn't make any calls after 7pm). Overall, friendly staff, nice hotel. If you have more people traveling, you can get an apartment with a kitchen and a view. Lesa meira

五星标准，感觉相当于国内四星，但酒店设施、环境可谓相当好，只是没有厨房，整体感觉还不错。出门就是湖边，清晨散步相当惬意；不足的是Frankton距离皇后镇市区较远，略有不便。好在11路公交车在酒店门口有站台，单程4纽币（晚上5纽币）可去皇后镇或机场。

"フロントに人がいない！"
チェックイン時はフロント係りがいましたが、その後リンスがないことに気づき電話するも、電話がどこかに転送され、何にもわからないという人がでた。りん捨てに入らず。 翌日もレイトチェックアウトしたため、昼前にフロントに行ったが留守。ベルで呼び出したら、かなりだらしない格好の男女が出てきて？？？スムースにチェックアウトはできたものの、あくまでホテルではなく、アパート。フロント機能に大問題アリです。
