Excellent location if you like shopping. Had a bit of trouble with the room key on both nights but staff was very helpful and friendly. Good value for money.

Was expecting a double room and got a twin. The beds were on casters so kept moving and causing the pillows to drop down between the bed and bedhead. Otherwise very good!

I was very pleased with the hotel. Very pleasant and helpful desk and bar staff, also breakfast staff. Great location. Near to St. Albans Abbey. Some improvement in the servicing of the room necessary. Comfort of the room was excellent.

Clean and tidy with helpful staff. Tiny capark so ask for access to the overflow one down the road. Our room had a streetlight right outside the window so not the darkest of rooms as the curtains wouldn't stay completely closed.

We stayed board only so cannot comment on the food, but the staff were courtious, and helpfull. Also it is a great location right in the centre of St Albans.

The Comfort hotel was basic but very clean. The receptionist and waiting staff in the morning plus the blond bar man's service was excellent. The only downside I had was the location of my room. The view was a crumbling wall which kept the room very dark,apart from this and one very surly foreign barman on the Sunday night I thoroughly enjoyed my s […] tay. Lesa meira

I thought this was a good option for a hotel in st albans in walking distance to the shops. My room was clean and neat and quiet.

We stayed here for a friends wedding in st albans. Location is central and walkable to station but its expensive for somewhere quite basic. Main problem was heating, it was snowy day and heating clearly hadnt been on for days so we put it on when arrived but it took hours to get to acceptable temperature

Very nice end comfortable hotel. would go back as it was very central. I was there to go to a concert at the st albans arena. Very modern and clean. Staff very nice also had a great night sleep.

Visited our son in St Albans. Hotel was 15 mins walk from Station, 1 min from Cathedral and 3-4 mins from main street. Didn't use the car park or have any food but room was clean and quiet after 11.00 pm as car park was by the room. Staff were polite. St Albans was busy due to a Bob Geldof concert. Bob Geldof was staying at the hotel as well.

I stayed here last weekend and I was actually very impressed with it. The location was perfect - very central, rooms were lovely and clean and modern and there wasn't much traffic noise considering how central it is! There are two car parks and I think most people had to park in the larger one which is a 2-3 minute walk. My only 'complaint' was the […] smell in the hallway - I had a Lower-Ground floor room and there was a stale smell in the hall between the rooms. What a nice central hotel. Very modern and well looked after. There are two things that terribly let it down though. The first is the state of the towels. They are threadbare and in a terrible state. I have now stayed here three times in the part three weeks, and it's not just a one off. The towels are seriously in a very poor state. Considering the […] hotel is really modern and well look after, it's hard ot believe why they have such poor quality towels. The other off putting thing is one of the staff members. In general they are all very polite and well turned out. There is this rather large man which I could never work out what he did though, but in the morning he would hang around the breakfast room. He would walk around in tracksuit trousers, a woolly hat, a fat stained t-shirt and trainers. I then once asked what he was there for, and they said he actually helped with kitchen porter work and would help in the breakfast room. I told them that the state of him was unacceptable. and if he was in any way connected with food, he should wear a kitchen uniform, or if working at all, he should be wearing some sort of uniform. He totally put me off wanting to have breakfast. The day after complaining of the state of him, I saw him in a kitchen uniform(still with the woolly hat though), but whether they would expect him to wear it long term, I'm not sure. I know for a fact that I would not have wanted him to be connected with any food that I might ocnsume. So, except for the threadbare towels, and the poor state of this staff member, it is actually a really nice hotel. Lesa meira

Me ambefaler hotellet videre. Rimeleg frukost,betalst utenom,men ok. Best med rom frå 2dre etasje og oppover,null utsikt i første. Hotellet ligg sentralt,få minutt til det meste.

Glimrende service fra de ansatte i resepsjonen-gratis internett på rommet . Jeg og min familie (tot 9 stk) bodde der en weekend og samtlige var godt fornøyd etterpå!
