"No jolts, bumps or surprises."
A bit of unwanted noise in the street, it wasn´t the Hotel Management´s fault, vendors, police siren, one must remember this is downtown Historic Center of Mexico City. No Air Conditioning--only fans. I reserved and paid for two rooms with 3 double/queen beds with kitchen and 2 baths as advertised in Expedia. Instead, we got 3 twin beds, no kitchen, and 1 bath in each of the two rooms reserved. The front desk personnel made no effort to correct and said they had no rooms with kitchens or queens. We had a late arrival […] therefore we had to accept their 'disinterested' response. Also, phone did not ring in one of the rooms throughout the 5-day stay. Therefore, on check-out day, they offered to knock on the door in lieu of a wake-up call. They failed to do so therefore we were one hour late leaving to the airport. Cleaning personnel 4 rating. "A decent and safe place if you're on a budget."
The hotel is safe and clean. My major gripe is that the beds and pillows were rock hard. I woke up sore just about every morning. I was there for ten nights, there was filtered water for 7 nights. I complained that the water ran out and they said they would check on it, but no result. The wifi is free and pretty decent. Local calls cost 4 pesos, which […] is lame, they should be free. The last night I was there and a storm knocked out power to the hotel. The day I checked out I mentioned the lack of filtered water for a few days and the inconvenience of having no power/wifi the last night and asked if they could comp us a free breakfast at their restaurant, they agreed to do so. I speak Spanish so I never tried speaking to the staff in English. Some of them spoke basic English, but not all of them. Overall, the place was decent. I arrived late as my flight from LA was delayed. The guy behind the reception was not friendly at all and was making a big fuss of me not printing out the voucher. The floor i stayed - 4th floor was really noisy as some teenagers were talking and haning out at the hall way. The room had NO air-conditioned and they gave me a damaged fan. "A good Mexico City base"
A good base to work from, although not in one of the prettiest streets in the city. Staff throughout v helpful and helped me with my limited Spanish. Food of good standard - Mexican and International. This hotel exceeded my expectations, with a very reasonable price for a nice clean room in a pleasant attractive modern building. Not the most deluxe I've ever stayed at but no complaints whatsoever. The neighborhood is interesting... on one side the beautiful Alameda park, fancy restaurants and the expensive Sheraton hotel, on the other side the world's […] largest collection of tool and household appliance repair and supply shops. "Older hotel and amenities"
Our first night at the hotel was in a nice sized room with a great bathroom. It fit our needs well. The second night, we were moved to a different room which was much smaller. We could barely fit in the bathroom, and could barely walk between the beds to get around. The hotel is older but kept up nice. There weren't any perks. I go to Mexico City all the time and have never had an experience like this. The employees are incredibly rude, there are hardly any of the amentities listed on the site. Hotel.com was great aboutb the mess and gave a credit. I would suggest hotels drop this hotel. There are no jacussi tubs, sleep train mattress, no refrigeratror and no microwave. […] They said it was the fault of hotels.com and it was too bad. Our key card lock broke and they came to let us in after 4 trips to reception. Finally had to tell them i was not stupid. They finally sent the mainentance and he said we had to be let in. It was the last night there and we were leaving in a couple hours so stayed in the room. I am fluent in Spanish so have no problm but they do nmot and will not speak any other language here. Go to the Fontan, San Francisco, any but this. Stay away. It was terrible, My husband and I traveled to Mexico City and chose this hotel. When we checked in, we had to pay for an extra person. Hotel stated that the reservation was placed for only one person. When I tried to talk to the person checking us in, he was rude. Said, " I am just informing you of the charges against your room" Thats how we were greeted!!! The […] Television set in the room was 20 years old, some channels were blurry. Some had no sound. Web site, states complimentary water!! When we asked for water, we were directed to a faucet in the restroom that said, "drinking water". This faucet is located in the restroom!!! It was awful. El Hotel tiene una ubicacion perfecta, a solo cuadras del metro y de lugares de Interes. "Bom atendimento"
O serviço de atendimento do hotel é bom, entretanto a recepcionista da manhã foi antipática, ao contrário do pessoal que atende a noite. Bem próximo ao Centro Histórico da Cidade do México, próximo de linha de metro e fácil localização. Bom para quem pretende alugar um carro, pois o estacionamento é seguro e gratuito para hóspedes. A limpeza não foi […] tão boa, pois encontrei um tufo de cabelos ao lado da mesa. O chão é revestido de carpet, a internet é um pouco ruim nos quartos, no entanto no loob é rápida. O hotel fica próximo ao Centro Histórico da Cidade do México, sua localização é muito boa. Fica a 15 minutos de carro do Aeroporto Internacional. O atendimento na recepção é bom, porém pela manhã o pessoal é menos simpático que o pessoal da noite. No quarto que fiquei não havia frigobar, ou frigorífico como dizem os mexicanos, no entanto há um compartimento […] carregado com gelo no corredor do hotel ( nunca tinha visto isso, mas achei interessante! ). O chuveiro é meio desregulado, não fica constante na temperatura que você ajusta, o estacionamento é dentro do hotel ( isso é um ponto bom pra quem vai alugar carro ). Fica próximo à estação de metrô, Museu de Belas Artes, e a 8 kms, mais ou menos, de "La Villa", santuário de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe. A única reclamação quanto à limpeza seria uma mecha de cabelos que estava abaixo do espelho, entre a parede e o bacão que fica a TV. Na esquina do hotel há um mini mercado que facilita para quem não for comer no hotel e não há muitas opções de bares e divertimento para a noite, na região do hotel. "Hotel bueno para parejas y familias"
En general, el hotel esta muy bien, cerca del centro historico y de muchos lugares interesantes para visitar, la calle un poco sola por la noche, solo un detalle con el baño la ventilacion es insuficiente y si lo usas por la noche a la mañana siguiente sigue vaporizado, ademas fugas pequeñas de agua en las llaves del lavabo y en la tuberia de la taza, […] esto a la larga puede generar moho. recomendado. "Excelente hotel por un buen precio"
La calidad del hotel podria mejorar significativamente si las habitaciones fueran modernizadas, por otro lado, el personal del hotel es amable y siempre dispuestos a atenderte con una sonrisa. "No se nota el cambio de ropa de cama"
