"nice overnight stay"
We arrived at 7PM and left the next morning at 8AM. We were on our way to Vienna and had a stop over in Innsbruck. This hotel was priced well. The hotel is about a 8 minute tram ride from the main train station. The tram and buses stop right in front of the hotel. It is a great location and also within walking distance to everything in downtown. The […] hotel is very basic as the name. There is a cafe on the ground level with pastries and coffee for the morning. The room was clean and there was free wifi. We enjoyed our night there. Lesa meira
very nice stay! WE enjoyed the location , great neighborhood, close to everywhere. The young girl on the evening staff was such a sweetheart! The view is spectacular of Austria! WE would love to visit again someday! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

"too bad about the bugs..."
I had very large insects coming into the bedroom. I had to close the doors and windows to the porch to keep them out. When I told the reception desk in the morning they didn't even apologize - they just acted very annoyed that I'd say anything.

Well located hotel and very accessible to all the old town attractions. Rooms are basic in nature but are modern, large and comfortable with excellent bathrooms and represent great value with the included WiFi. Reception staff were very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay.
"Basic Hotel Innsbruck, Austria"
The gal at the front desk was very helpful and always friendly. We asked her for a recommendation for a place to eat and she suggested a German place that served schnitzel that was just outstanding. She was always pleasant despite being there constantly! The reason for the low ratiing on the room was the design of the room. The bathroom is enclosed […] in glass; yes, glass. Granted, it was etched (for the most part) on the lower level. But, if you want even a little privacy in the bathroom, you won't get it. Plus, the lighting in the room was "all or nothing". The other thing that made the value of this room low is the lack of reasonable parking. The day we stayed was a warm one. Since there is no A/C, we slept with the window open. The traffic noise made it pretty much impossible to get any sleep. The convenience of the train station nearby is nice, but there sure is a lot of traffic! Lesa meira
"The Basic Hotel Innsbruck - close and clean"
The hotel is close to all of the todo's of the city but far from the train station. We use the train for everything and it was quite the hike back and forth. Once there you are very close to the main plaza and the river/mountains view. The front desk let me borrow an iron as the rooms dont come with one and were very helpfull.
"Not so basic"
This hotel is not so basic at all, maybe it is just the service that could be called basic but the rooms are spacious, well appointed and nice and modern. My only issue was no air-con. I stayed one night in early september and the weather was wonderful but the result was that room was hot. They provided a fan and the windows open, but the rooms on the […] front of the hotel are very noisy with the windows open so to sleep needed to keep them closed then it got too hot. Next time if it is in the summer will ask for a rear facing room. I would be very happy to return as the value for money and the location are first rate. Lesa meira

"Very nice place"
This hotel is no way basic. It is very recently renovated beautiful hotel. The rooms are big, clean, and have views of mountains. The staff is helpful. It is located right in the heart of the city and very easily accessible form the main train station by public transport in just 10 minutes or less. "Basic Hotel Innsbruck - fantastic!"
We (2 adults) stayed at the Basic Hotel Innsbruck in April and it was definitely not basic! It's very easy to get to from the airport, taking the F line bus, and is located right in the city centre, close to the Golden Roof and Congress Station for catching the Nordkettebahn (which is amazing), and about a 15 minute walk from the main train station […] (though there are tram stops just outside the hotel so you could easily get there on the tram if you had a lot of luggage). The room was very clean and modern with a comfortable bed, large flat screen television and very nice bathroom with a powerful shower. The bathroom is like a wet room with frosted glass walls, so no bathtub but that wasn't a problem for us. The hotel staff were very helpful and provided us with a map of the city. We stayed in room 22 which overlooked the street outside - it wasn't noisy though and we slept well. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast but there is a very good bakery right next door which had lots of lovely things! We would definitely stay there again! Lesa meira
"Basic Hotel in Innsbruck - mote than we expected"
I have traveled the world (visited 32 countries) and have stayed at many different hotels (from hostels to 5 star). I choose Basic hotel because it had good reviews and great location. I was very pleasantly surprised for many reasons. First of all it was very easy to find, its location is great (right in Old Town and 10 minutes from the airport), it […] offered car parking in the back and it was very comfortable for the 3 of us. We only stayed there for one night and for that it was perfect - very clean, nicely decorated and modern. The 3 beds were very comfortable, there was a hair dryer and a towel dryer in the bathroom and we loved the decor. There is no hotel restaurant, but there is a great place next door that serves food (their breakfast was delicious and inexpensive). The room size was small but just enough if you travel light (there is not a lot of space for your clothes and it is rather "open concept") but the bathroom was spacious and modern. I think that the name "Basic" is rather modest - it is more than that and I would highly recommend this hotel to any seasoned traveler who is looking for a clean, safe and simple place to spend the night. "More than Basic!"
The hotel staff were very welcoming. Our room was well furnished although there was some noise from the trams outside and other guests in the communal areas. The Basic is located close to the Old Town and not too far from both the airport and train station. Would definitely recommend for a short or longer stay in Innsbruck.
Leider liegt das Hotel an einer stark befahrenen Strasse mit Bushaltestelle. Dadurch war es zeitweise doch recht laut.

"Hotel nada "basico" en Innsbruck"
Nuestra habitación fue enorme, con un baño muy original y una limpieza muy buena. Aunque nosotros no lo necesitamos, vimos que había un ventilador disponible, es decir, no tienen aire acondicionado. No desayunamos en el hotel, sino que optamos por tomar un café y un strudel en una de las cafeterías de la ciudad.

Esmerada atencion de su empleada, lastima no contar con suficiente garaje. Y que se cierra a la noche, por lo que la entrada es de tipo automatica. Desayuno normal, recomendable

"Innsbruck - Hotel Basic is your choice"
We where flying home from Innsbruck after skiing in the Dolomites and want to stay one night in Innsbruck. The Hotel Basic gave us newly renewed room with nice interior and a fantastic view of the mountain.
