Guesthouse Peter – Dubrovnik

We planned a last-minute trip to Dubrovnik while we were vacationing elsewhere in Croatia. This apartment is within a 3-5 minute walk from the western gates of the walls. The location is fantastic. The room was clean, the bed probably the most comfortable we had in Croatia, and the bathroom (in our room) appeared new. no trouble with hot water, and […] shower was also tall enough for me (also unusual for Croatia). This place was perfect for a weekend getaway -- you won't be spending much time in the room anyway, but it's so close to the walls that you can go back for naps, bathroom breaks and to drop off purchases. The location is outstanding, only a block away from the main gate. The room we stayed in was decent, with a bathroom downstairs that we had to ourselves. My only complaint was the paper thin ceiling and walls: it was difficult to fall asleep some nights with the sound of the upstairs neighbors walking back and forth. A perfect location for exploring the Old City, Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean and Anke and her sister, our hosts, were extremely friendly and helpful. We had the use of a private bathroom which was fully stocked with all of the toiletries needed, even shaving foam and toothpaste, I had flown with a budget airline so I had carried travel […] sizes of same with me and I didn't have to!. If only I'd known..We did have to leave our room and walk down the hallway to go to the bathroom so I was glad I had packed nightwear. We also had use of a kitchenette, with a kettle, 2 ring hob, a fridge and all of the dishes, pots and pans needed so we shopped in the deli every morning for fresh crusty bread etc and made a fresh breakfast before leaving for the day. As eating out in Dubrovnik is not particularly cheap this was a big saving! We had the use of a lovely little garden to sit and eat in also.. One tip is to shop in the Delis on the same side of the road as Guesthouse Peter as I have never encountered such rude, unfriendly and downright obnoxious supermarket staff as those I found in the small supermarket across the road.. Avoid! There is also a small quiet beach within 5 minutes walk of the Guesthouse and a food outlet about 50 yards further up the hill where they cook your burger fresh in front of you on a griddle and add whatever salad you like for approx 2 euro..A good burger and nice to bring back to your room and have with a glass of wine from the fridge Lesa meira

Anka was so supportive when my lugguage did not turn up, and followed it up until it was found. Also, she made organizing tours a breeze. The room was comfortable and clean, and so quiet, despite being so close to everything. I would stay there again in a flash.

I loved the location. 100 metres west of the pile gate. on the south(seaside) of the main street. across from the hilton. If you want to be near the old town excellent choice. only drawback I was on the third floor. narrow stairs to climb. I would stay there again.

excellent location. 100 M west of the pile gate on the left(sea) side of street, just past the bus station across from the hilton. Air conditioning work great. only downside was the room was on the third floor. Had to lug my bags up narrow stairs.

The rooms are right outside the old city walls and within walking distance to everything. Our room was large, had a mini-kitchen which we were able to use for preparing coffee/food when we did not feel like dining out, and the air conditioning was top-notch. It was a very convenient stay, good value for what we needed and I would stay again!

A great location next to pile gate and easy to find, opposite the plush Hilton hotel, the room was a good size but a little tired, and was disapointed the private bathroom was outside our room in the hallway, it would be nice to know before booking, other than that a friendly ownet and a good base for an overnight, Dubrovnik is expensive compared to […] other places in Croatia so expected to pay more.. A good tip for the airport bus is go to the tourist information office who have details and catch a bus from outside the cable car Lesa meira

you won't find a better place to stay than Guesthouse Peter we promise you! The place is run by a lovely lady and her Mother who are both kind, considerate &ready and willing to help you in anyway possible.The place is VERY homely,very well equiped&has some great little touches-like a pretty little courtyard garden to sit in and a tiny kitchen area […] where you can help yourself to coffee,tea etc whenever you want. This location was perfect. Steps outside the old Pile gate. Room was spacious and clean with personal bathroom nearby. Anka and her mum were lovely. Secure, convenient - it was a great choice. Highly recommend.

We only stayed at Guesthouse Peter for one night but the service and help we received from Anke and her mother was second to none! They were both very friendly and helped us organize our travels. The hotel was literally just outside the main gate to the old city. Fantasic! If I ever get a chance to go back to Dubrovnik I will definately like to stay […] there again! Lesa meira

A very nice B&B (without breakfast though). The family lives in some of the rooms so there's somewhat limited privacy. The owner was very friendly. The room wasn't cleaned even once during our 6 night stay, so in the end it was very dirty. And someone had been in our room to turn off the air-conditioning while we were out, which was a bit suspicious. […] All in all a good place to stay but the best part is definitely the location: right next to the old town and a few minutes from public beaches. Dette var en perfekt overnattingsplass. Eierne var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme, enkle å forholde seg til, rommet var rent og godt utstyrt med aircon og kjøkken. Vi hadde vindu ut mot rolige bakgårder og avstanden til badeplass, butikker og gamlebyn var svært kort. i tilegg var det billig, bedre kan det ikke bli! Zeer prettig verblijf in kamer aan de achterkant zonder verkeersgeluid (voorkant is aan drukke weg), direct bij het oude centrum, tegenover het Hilton-hotel, zeer mooie omgeving, ook bushaltes in de buurt.
