Agriculture is a growth industry in Riverhead. More than half of this area is devoted to produce farming. The North Fork region, northeast of Riverhead, has more than two-dozen vineyards. Wines such as cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and chardonnay are made locally. Riverhead’s other highlights include the Atlantis Marine World Aquarium and the Dinosaur Walk Museum.

Very stylish and modern design and an excellent service attitude from hotel staff. Beautiful surroundings and a great outdoor pool. Great location as there are a lot of local attractions only minutes away. Stayed there with my wife and two kids, 16 and 6 years, for five days and would have loved to stay another week. The only drawback I found was a […] bit noisy air conditioning. Grate hotel, hope to stay there again sometime and will surly recommend to everybody who‘s looking for a relaxing time. Lesa meira

My husband and I went to Long Island to celebrate my birthday. We have been telling everyone about our stay at Hotel Indigo because we were so impressed with this most stylish, clean and comfortable hotel. There are even outdoor hearths with comfortable seating. Stay at Hotel Indigo and you will receive much value for the modest cost of your room!

"Hotel Indigo is a friendly clean hotel"
We loved this place! It is close to all the vineyards, produce/fruit stands. It is a comfortable clean hotel with happy friendly staff. We had breakfast at the hotel that was amazing! the chef even came out and asked us how our breakfast was! The steel oats with poached pears were the best i have ever had and the homemade pancakes were delicious! We […] would recommend this hotel to everyone. The price was very reasonable, we loved all the outdoor fireplaces, and gathering places. The town of Riverhead is also very quaint and had some very good resturants ! Lesa meira

"Great boutique hotel near Southampton , NY"
The Hotel Indigo is one of the new brands from Crown Plaza, and certainly is a fantastic entry into reasonable and stylish hotels. Much better than Courtyard Hotels, the Indigo shares a style and fashion that is hip, yet business traveler pleasant. Our stay in Riverhead, NY, near the luxe Hamptons area of Long Island, serves many travelers well. It […] is next store to the Tanger Outlet Mall for some serious savings and retail therapy, a mere 15 minutes from the North Fork, gateway to Wine Country, and 10 minutes from Southampton and the roadway to all the Hampton Villages and Montauk. Lots of parking, free wireless, a very nice Bar and Restaurant, and within 5 minutes of Main Street Riverhead. Riverhead is making a comeback of sorts and there are plenty of nice dining options nearby. As to the Hotel itself, it offers large rooms that are well extremely well designed, and a fresh appeal to old cookie cutter hotels. If you want to save some money, be in a well situated location, book at the Hotel Indigo Riverhead. I used Hotels.com and did the prepaid reservation, saving $$$ as well. Had a great night with my lady..room was spacious and comfortable..liked the fact we could walk outside right from our room..I would definitely recommend this hotel..
Decent newly renovated hotel, but you had to pay to get a fridge & microwave (which we did not do). Live piano music in the restaraunt/bar was a nice touch in the evening.

"Hotel Indigo, Riverhead"
I was really impressed with the Hotel Indigo. The pool is beautiful...there are so many places to relax around the hotel. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. If you are visiting the Hamptons this is very convenient to all roads and really well priced.

The hotel was very nice, the only thing I would change would be to include breakfast with the stay. The stay was a little expensive with nothing included. I would check out other hotels and their prices in the area before I came back to this hotel.

The people were very nice and helpful, and the pool area was beautiful. (I was not thrilled that they allowed smoking, but I could live with it.) I had a concern with the restaurant service: There was often no one you could even talk to about getting serive or a meal if you were actually in the restaurant, and the room service was almost non-existent. […] The hotel was generally lovely -- and the bathroom was elegant -- but the room had a bit if a funny odor. The location was certainly convenient for shopping at the Tanger Outlets, but it was really not a nice location. We have made our reservation on the internet for a room with 2 beds. On our arrival there was only a room with a single bed. We were offered 2 complimentary breakfasts to compensate but still we were pertty squeezed up in the room with all our luggages. Globally satisfied.

Hotel Indigo is conveniently located near major attractions and of course the Tanger outlet. The hotel is clean and helpful staff. A good place to stay if you want to visit the Hamptons or Montauk.

"Hotel Indigo"
whether you're going to the wineries, outlets or other parts of the hamptons, this place is the little hotel that could! the whole place looked like it had been recently designed and in the style of a boutique hotel. very cool, fitness center and pool area. they also had a live latino band on the outside veranda that was amazing. we had out 2 young […] sons with us and they defintiely loved the pool. we'll definitely go again, highly recommend. "Weekend in Wading River"
The hotel was a nice surprise featuring a modern look and high end feel. Everything from the restaurant (which turns into a club at night), the staff and the Aveda shampoos were quite nice. The only draw backs were the heat in the shower and the club which allowed rauscus guests to party seemingly all night. So the noise was a bit much, but overall […] the hotel is just great. Excellently located near to wine country, et.al Very comfy rooms. Wider pilllows would have been nice. For nightlife . . . Bistro 72 can't be beat. Superior food at moderate prices. Cuban bean soup (I had evey night) and the baked clams ans lobster roll. N-ce presentatation. Overall, I'd stay there again just to hang with the staff!

Shower was cold. Heater gurgled all night. People raved about the restaurant but it was just ok - wine was warm, mac and cheese was cold, lobster shells in my lobster roll. It's convenient but there has to be a better option in the area.

Great place to stay, especially if you plan on going to the many wineries nearby. This place is clean and the staff is very accommodating. I went the night before Valentines Day with my girlfriend so I really wanted a nice romantic night. Everything was great, but the service at Bistro 72 was iffy. I asked for my meal to be cooked medium rare, but […] the inside of the meat was just red so I sent it back. This was done to another table next to us as well so we weren't the only ones with meal issues. Our waiter also complained about not being with his significant other that night and made me and my girlfriend feel very awkward. It's unfortunate that he was working that night but mentioning this to the customers you're waiting on is very unprofessional. So tread lightly to Bistro 72. We didn't get to finish our meal so we brought it back to the room. Unfortunately, there was no place to put the food and we woke up to a swarm of ants crawling all over it. We mentioned this to the hotel and they gave us the option of having another free stay or 40% back what we payed for the room. That was very generous of them. Overall I had a great time there. The hotel itself and room was gorgeous. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to make a trip out to the North Fork wineries nearby. Lesa meira

This is a fantastic find. I wish it was better located instead of being surrounded by parking lots. However, once inside, it has a high end feel with very helpful and friendly staff and packed with amenities. I love the style and decor of the public spaces and the room.

Mkt trevligt hotel. Ligger mycket bra om man vill se Long Island. Fri parkering utanför.. Kvarteren runt omkring har ingen charm men omgivningen är mycket sevärd med vingårdar etc. Räkna inte med annat än Amerikansk frukost. den serveras dock i trevlig miljö.
Quarto grande, bonita decoração. O incoveniente é que é um hotel distante de facilidades, como supermercados e restaurantes, e um dia que queríamos jantar no restaurante do hotel o mesmo estava fechado para um evento.

De lo mejorcito de la zona de los hampton y alrededores. Todo muy nuevo y al lado de uno de los mayores outlets de la zona, el Tanger. Necesario coche pero cerca de zona comercial con supermercados y entretenimiento. El desayuno magnifico aunque un poco complicado por el metodo de cupones, que te permite elegir de la carta lo que quieras. No es buffet […] y merece la pena tomar un dia el desayuno tipico americano. El cafe solo esta incluido si es americano, por el latte o capuccino te cobran 4 USD. Las camas twin estan separadas por una mesilla y la cama de matrimonio era una queen de 1,35 cm, un tanto incomoda. En general el hotel muy bien y el servicio de restaurante muy atento. Lesa meira
