The hotel itslef was very nice, though a few things could be improved upon such as TVs in the suites and lids on the trashcans. The couple that own and run the hotel were kind and helpful, though they had occasionally very strong opinions and were willing to share them on other tourist activities. "Family owned and operated"
I would highly recommend this location. Jorge (co-owner) was awesome. While I don't speak spanish, and his english is broken, we were easily able to communicate. Every day the room was cleaned and taken care of. Most of the rooms are upstairs. You need to climb a difficult (and slightly scarry) set of stairs. A delightful little hotel with real style. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious, interesting wooden furniture, colourful Mexican blankets and old Mexican photographs make really make for once of the nice places I've spent a night. "Very poor personal skills"
We booked this hotel thinking that it is one of those little family owned hotels where the owners aqre friendly, the place is comfortable and the location is convenient. We travel a lot but never experienced such poor personal skills anywhere then in The Nueastro Petit Hotel. We spent 3nights there and all the time we were there couldn't shake the feeling […] that we are intruders in somebody's home. The couple who runs the hotel (never introduced themselves) should sign up for a communication course or at least try to be there for their guests if they are planning to stay in the hotel industry! "Very cute hotel!"
Very cute, comfy hotel in a great location. Accessible to many restaurant and shops. The room is very clean, comfortable bed and has access to internet. The owners are very friendly and informative. One problem is an air conditioner. It can be very loud and cold. I wish they had a ceiling fan, instead. Overall, it was a very good value.

"Friendly, comfortable and quirky hotel"
Run by a Mexican/Polish couple who speak good English, Lo Nuestro is a very welcoming, friendly place. A short walk from the main drag of Tulum town with its restaurants and bars, it's a good choice for a couple of nights as part of a road trip (which is what we did), with big, comfortable and quite stylish rooms. I wouldn't want to spend a whole holiday […] there - the hotel has a sweet courtyard but no real outdoor space and no view to speak of. If you have a car, though, this shouldn't matter much, as you can get to the beach, cenotes and ruins etc. very easily from here. Lesa meira
"Small cosy hotel with helpful staff."
This hotel is great if you want to relax. But the jacuzzi was acctually a hottub. No bubbles or jets. The staff was friendly and had a lot of knowledge about Mexico and what to do there.
"Surprising hotel"
When you stand in front of the hotel you can't imagine what is behind the big cactus, you open the door and enter to small paradise, big rooms, very nice decorated, wide bathroom and very pleasant hostess. The only weak point in the hotel is the noisy air condition.

Very clean little hotel in town (not on the beach). Big rooms, each with a back yard with a hammock or a balcony. If breakfast is included at all, it's coffee, bread and marmalade only. It's owned by a Mexican-Polish couple who lives there, so you literally are in their home. The office is their living room and the open kitchen is where they cook for […] themselves and receive guests. So in a way you feel like an intruder in their privacy. But if you get along with the lady you'll enjoy your stay. The value is quite good for Tulum where everything is overpriced. It's also located well: most other hotels are located on the main street where it's very noisy. This place is quiet. One thing I didn't like: the mattress made a squeaking noise every time I turned, so I woke up at night. I don't know if it was just in our room though. Lesa meira
"Pequeño hotel cómodo para pasar la noche"
Muy bien, es muy limpio y habitaciones cómodas. Es pequeño y si tienes coche te puedes mover facilmente a las playas, sino puedes tomar un taxi y en 10 mins estas en la playa. Solo no esperes instalaciones, tiene un pequeño jardín con mesas, internet y es todo.

Bra hotell för en natts vistelse (skulle vidare till stranden). Ligger ok centralt från busstationen- utan att störas av ev aktiviteter "på stan". Mysigt, och rent. I tanke på övrig standard är det är prisvärt hotell. Dock måste jag säga att personalen inte var särskilt hjälpsamma när det gällde att tipsa och hjälpa till med boende på stranden...och […] hävdade att det självfallet var utsålt överallt. "Fint lille hotel i centrum. 5 km. fra stranden."
Hyggeligt lille hotel, drevet af venligt værtspar. Det ligger centralt i byen og dermed også et stykke fra stranden og ruinen. Hvis man vil på i byen fremfor stranden er dette et godt valg. Det ligger desuden meget tæt på busstationen. Eneste negative at sige om det er at aircondition larmede ekstremt meget.

Petit hotel tres sympa , proche de l'animation de tulum ville , si vous voulez sortir a Tulum playa je vous conseille de prendre un taxi , les trous et les dos d anes sont mal indiqués surtout la nuit !!! L hotel est tenu par des francais qui vous conseillerons avec plaisir sur les restaurants et les excursions a faire avec vos propres moyens . Kan ikke finde ud af om jeg elskede eller hadede dette hotel. Super varm modtagelse af ejerne (det er en lille familie på 3 der ejer/køre hotellet) men det bliver for meget i længden, da man til sidst sniger dig ud, uden og komme i kontakt med familien. men så når man skal spørge om råd er det super. værelset, super seng, super indretning, mit værelse […] havde boblebad, men så igen kommer der noget negativt oven i de positive oplevelse. Mit værelse lå lige ud til gaden (og den LARMEDE!!) der var ikke varmt vand. aircon larmede. Men igen, ved stadig ikke om jeg elskede eller hadede denne lille hippierede i tulum :-) Lesa meira

Mycket mysigt hotell med ganska stora rum. Be om att få ett rum med balkong så att man kan få tvärdrag. Läget var jättebra, några minuters gångväg från busstationen och nära restauranggatan. Det kändes som att man nästan bodde hemma hos paret som drev hotellet då de också bodde där. Fick bra tips och information av dem. Bland annat att hyra en jeep […] och köra till Punta Allen och ta en båttur och kolla på delfiner, helt fantastiskt! Bra pris också. Det enda som vi saknade på rummet var kylskåp samt att luftkonditioneringen lät ganska högt. Vi rekommenderar detta hotellet, kommer bo där igen om vi är i Tulum någon mer gång. Lesa meira
Das Hotel ist in der Woche vor Weihnachten nicht zu empfehlen: direkt gegenüber war ein großer Jahrmarkt mit sehr lauter Musik bis nachts um drei. Das scheint Tradition zu sein. Zum Bad: es gibt keine geschlossene Tür zur Toilette. Kann unangenehm sein.

Nous avons loué la suite avec jaccuzi. Accueil pour le moins déconcertant. porte fermée et personne pour repondre a la sonnette.... Présentation de la suite par la responsable qui avait du prendre quelques digestifs de trop. Escalier en bois dans un etat peu rassurant(certaines marches sont branlantes) surtout quand on monte soi meme deux sacs de voyage. […] Chambre tres grande mais semblant bien vide et clim insuffisante pour la taille de la piece. Déco exterieure de la salle de bain interessante, mais raclette plus balayette a l'interieur de celle ci, car douche placée n'importe comment et l'eau part dans la chambre. Le Jaccuzi n'est en fait qu'une grande BAIGNOIRE et l'eau a tellement peu de débit qu'il faut 30 mn pour la remplir avec une eau plus tiede que chaude.... Et pour terminer, pas de bouteille d'eau fournit(fontaine dispo au rez de chaussé), pas de verre, juste un savon placé dans un joli coquillage. En résumé le petit hotel ne sait pas faire dans les grandes chambres. Annonce un jaccuzi pour une baignoire et n'a pas suffisament de débit et d'eau chaude pour la remplir... Sinon hamac disponible et litterie de qualité juste moyenne. Café et toast proposé le matin. Soit Suite a éviter. une arnaque. Lesa meira

"A little gem in Tulum"
Lo Nuestro is a sweet little boutique hotel in Tulum town. It's owned by a polish/mexican couple and they really take care for you! The hotel is very much their dream and the attention to detail is remarkable with fun decorated and spacious rooms. Lo Nuestro also have an open garden where you can enjoy breakfast. The location is perfect, a three minute […] walk from the main street wich makes it quiet at night. A taxi to the beach takes 10 minutes and cost 40 pesos.
