Bílastæði eru ókeypis fyrir hótelgesti. Í boði ef gestir ráðfæra sig við starfsfólk: þjónusta gestastjóra, aðstoð við miða-/ferðakaup, brúðkaupsþjónusta og þýðingaþjónusta. Á hótelinu er meðal annars: starfsfólk sem talar mörg tungumál, bílastæði án þjónustu og herbergisþjónusta á ákveðnum tímum. Mögulegt er að gestir geti notað bílastæði hótelsins eftir að hafa skráð sig út. Þetta er reyklaust hótel. (Mögulegt er að sektum verði beitt ef reglur eru brotnar.)

Papaya Playa eru 60 herbergi. Í herbergjum eru svalir með haf, strönd eða að hluta yfir hafið views.Öll herbergi eru með sérstökum skreytingum og innréttingum. Á baðherbergjum eru sturtur með lausum sturtuhausum.Auk þess er boðið upp á kvöldfrágang á hverju kvöldi, þrif eru í boði og eftirfarandi þjónusta í boði ef beðið er um það: auka handklæði/rúmfatnaður. Endurnýjun á öllum herbergjum lauk í desember 2009.

"Hostel meets campground"
The views were amazing and the layout of the grounds were nice. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. But the sheets were dirty and worn and the beds (we stayed in 2 different cabanas) were awful! Springs poking out. Plan on getting your sleep on the beach. We hardly slept at all. The beds had bug nets but I'm not sure why, they were all ripped […] and full of holes (and were very dirty). This place just needs a few minor upgrades and it would be great! Lesa meira
"Papaya Playa"
This hotel was a great start to our Mexican holiday. It was by no means a 5 star hotel however the people were very nice and helpful, it had a private shower and toilet and best of all.... a great beach to relax on.

Mixed feelings about Playa paplaya. The beach is beautiful and some of the staff are very nice - but man they know how to take the fun out of staying there... Our cabaña was in nice condition and had a good view of the beach/ocean. We booked two nights online, and extended our stay for one more night. We would have stayed another night, but we decided […] to find a different place. Problems: A. We had no housekeeping service. I asked on the 2nd & 3rd day, but nobody would come. B.There were no trash receptacles in our cabaña or anywhere around it. People were using the empty pool as a garbage pit, as there was no place else to put trash (nobody emptied the pool that week) C. There was no cleaning of the beach. Lots of trash on the south side of the beach. C. Every morning I would have to walk to the front desk to ask them to turn on the water so I could take a shower or flush a toilet. Not trying to be a grump, we had a good time, but you can find better spots than this. Lesa meira

"Plenty good, if you can't find anywhere else"
Papaya has a very hostel vibe to it that seriously detracts from its tranquility. I came to have a chill spot on the beach and listen to the ocean, instead they spend their limited amount of electricity pumping boy band music and cheesy 90's hits until well into the evening every night. The food isn't bad, neither are the beaches, but - as with everything […] they offer - there are places twice as good just down the road. My experience was especially tarnished by the fact that the "Ocean View" cabana looked out on the the back of another cabin and was a little too close to the septic tank, which gave our cabin an offensive smell. "Our 1st time Eco lodge experience - mixed feeling"
The beach was nice with cushion/swings provided to layout on. The food was ok, a bit more expensive compared to in Tulum Centro. Convenient location to town, Tulum Ruins and restaurants on Zona Hoteleria. We only get one bed with a little table stand in our cabana. It would be nicer if 2 chairs were provided in the room. "hotel papaya playa calidad precio pesimo"
Es un hotel exclusivamente para gente que se ha olvidado la tienda de campaña y quiere un techo donde dormir en plena naturaleza!!!!! Me encontre una SERPIENTE BOA en mi "habitacion" y lo unico q hicieron fue cambiarme a otra hab exactamente igual . No hay ventanas ni porsupuesto ventilador. NO RECOMENDARIA NUNCA UNA HABITACION CON BAÑO COMPARTIDO […] EN ESTE HOTEL...muy sucias, se han olvidado de que el mantenimiento existe. Lesa meira
"para los que buscan la naturaleza"
Este hotel se ubica en la playa entonces la vista desde su cuarto ( si tiene suerte) es muy padre. Pero su precio me parece un poco alto considerando que no hay nada en el cuarto a parte de su cama. No hay electricidad despues de las once y solo la prenden a las seis. No hay nada para recargar su portable tampoco. "A great place to relax, lovely food and service"
We visited the Papapaya Playa because we wanted to relax after being five days in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. And it was perfect for that. From the first day, the very committed manager was making sure that we didn't needed anything at anything, and he provided us with very useful information. Actually all personal where very proactive and nice to […] be around. Saturdays the manager helds af tequila tasting, which is highly recommendable! The guy is educated sommalier, and knows everything about Mexican wines and Tequiila ofcause. We had a very nice time here! And the location on the most beautiful beach, was just the top of it all. It is very easy to go on many different trips like diving in centotes etc. I think this must be the best place, if you want to live by the beach i Tulum. Lesa meira

"LA DOUCHE à L'EAU SALEE !!"
Un hôtel à déconseiller absolument ! Pas de prise d'électricité dans la chambre (à quoi cela sert elle est coupée la nuit, et la plupart de la journée...), la moustiquaire déchirée, pas de ventilateur ni peignoir, pas vu le spa tout équipé (contrairement à ce qui est dit sur le site de Hotels.com),il n'y a de balcons que sur certaines cabanas, pas de […] rideau, donc c'est bien si vous aimez vous montrer, une "vue océan" absolument relative, des draps absolument sales et où demande-t-on le "service de préparation de lit en soirée" (d'ailleurs qu'est-ce que cela veut dire ???)...le clou c'est quand même LA DOUCHE ET LE LAVABO à l'eau SALEE !! (je passe sur le fait que le débit de la douche des cabanas à sdb privée soit plus que ridicule, et que l'eau chaude est quasi inexistante). Certes la vue de la plage sur la mer est superbe, mais honnêtement, elle vaut celle des 25 autres hôtels qui ne rêvent que de vous accueillir. A EVITER ABSOLUMENT !! Lesa meira
"PAPAYA PLAYA TULUM MEXIQUE"
Vraiment spartiate, à conseiller aux adeptes du camping ou "aux robinsons". Pour les autres il faut prendre les chambres les plus cheres pour avoir un balcon mais je ne connais pas l'etat des salles de bains ni de la literie dans ces chambres. La notre était réduite à un tuyau d'arrosage pour douche (cheveux longs s'abstenir absolument!) pas de miroir, […] tout petit évier tout rouillé. Les draps et les serviettes etaient vraiment sales et trop usagés. Pas de volets donc on se lève avec le soleil ou on accroche comme on peut des serviettes et des paréos, comme les clients qui sont arrivés avant nous. L'accueil n''est franchement pas sympatique. (Je précise que ce ne sont pas des mexicains). Bref c'est dommage car le cadre vraiment, mais vraiment exeptionnel, magnifique, ce qui rattrape tous les désagréments! Lesa meira

"Papaya Playa- lugn och ro för kärlekspar"
Lugnt och fint område vid stranden. Ligger nära en Nudiststrand. Bara bra erfarenheter av människorna. Jag var där med min syster och vi var nog ensamma om att inte vara ett par. Ska du boka "hydda" och är känslig för småkryp å ljud så välj en av de stora villorna! Vi bodde i standardrummet första natten men bytte natten efter. Standardrummet med två […] bäddar hade ingen dörr till toaletten och ett litet hänglås som lås till dörren, sängen saknade bäddmadrass och det var hål i både myggnätet och i handdukarna. Vi lärde känna ett par som bodde i en av villorna, vilket var helt FANTASTISK fint! Så är du där med kärleken och vill kunna slappna av så lägg extra pengar och hyr villan! "Papaya Playa, only the location is great."
We arrived at night (around 1 o'clock in the morning) and there was actually someone there to check us in - partially. We agreed to check in completely the next day. They brought our bags to our cabaña and there we found out that there was no light (or any electricity), so we got some candles from the hotel staff instead. We also found that the water […] from the tap and shower was salt, the musquito net was torn in several places and that there was sand lying everywhere. No good first impression, apart from the sea sounds and a mild breeze. The next day we took a shower, but there was no hot water. And electricity still wasn't available. We wanted our included breakfast, but the staff said it was not included - but will check to be sure. Later the manager told us that one kind of breakfast (the 'continental breakfast') was indeed included, but only starting tomorrow, since we had ordered a different kind of dish. The waiter was very nice and polite. The sea view, from the bar where we ate, was absolutely beautifull and romantic. During the week we stayed there, we didn't have warm water to shower with and only a few hours of electricity (and Internet because of that) in the mourning/evening. We had the same dish for breakfast, every day. And on top of that we had rotten vegetables (brownish and sour) on the last evening of our stay, so we left pretty sick (diarrhea/stomach aches/vomitting). Lesa meira
