Despite the description suggesting the Suite includes Two beds: 1 King 1 Queen It only has a one bed. The staff were aware of the erroneous but did not seem too concerned that it was causing issues for people.

"Incredible Modern & Clean"
We had a wonderful romantic evening with Swann. The rooms were impeccable, the facilities were the best I have seen. Our only feedback was that the pillows were not the most comfortable to sleep on. "Very nice hotel"
I was pleased to discover this hotel downtown. It's quiet and very clean. I like the style that mixes contemporary looks with wood logs as desks!

"Chez Swann Hotel Boutique - downtown Montreal"
The hotel was very nice; modernly decorated with an inviting feel. The standard room was smaller than we anticipated but the bathroom was very spacious and it was definitely enough room for two of us. The breakfast in the attached restaurant each morning, I would probably call something like gourmet breakfast pastries, different from our habitual bowl […] of cereal but very nice. Also nice that the hotel, rooms A very small amount of people so it felt homely walking in and out without getting stuck in a big crowd. The location was perfect, right in the middle of downtown Montreal, close to the Bell Centre, walking distance to plenty of bars and shops. A couple of the concierges couldn't speak very good English though so we occasionally weren't able to get a lot of tourist help from them. The only real complaint we had was that there was an unpleasantly funk smell that wafted through our room. We weren't sure if it was from the cleaning or the fan, it woke us up one night smelling fairly unpleasant but I suppose it was our fault for not asking to change rooms. Lesa meira

I stayed at the Hotel Chez Swann for 2 nights on business. I am in Montreal frequently and usually am staying by the airport in Dorval so any opportunity to stay downtown in relished. This hotel was very unique, but a great change of pace. The rooms were fairly small, but well appointed. The only complaint I would have is that is was a tad noisy the […] 2nd morning as the people above sounded like they were just pacing their room for 2 hours or so, but it wasn't a huge deal. The free breakfast (pastries and coffee) was excellent. The location of the hotel is perfect. Parking was very reasonable only a half a block down for $18/night. Stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting Montreal. Loved the location and ambience. Staff was very helpful. I was able to store my luggage at hotel even after checking out. "Hotel Chez Swann - charmant!"
I have stayed at Hotel Chez Swann 3 times and found it to be interesting and fun. It has a sense of "scene" with dramatic lighting and interesting decor. The rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Internet was free or very low cost. It is proximate to amny restaurants on teh west end of the St Catherine- Maisonneuve streets area and easy walking […] to the offices in the centre. (Business was my main reason for staying.) The adjacent and co-owned Restaurant Le Pois Penche, which is accessible througn connecting doors in the hotel, has good food as well as the free breakfast. It was alrite hotel not the greatest the room was smaller then days inn in st laurent I was surprised. From other review I agree about the noise in the hall way around 3 4 am n morning laughing etc the washroom is rite in the middle of the room. The. Lighting was weird in the room and to top it off. "Beautiful"
one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at gorgeous location not in the best neighborhood, Its on a one way street so its a little difficult to get to by car but would recommend anyone to stay there :) DO NOT BRING KIDS HERE its more of a romantic artsy hotel :)

"Interesting Design"
The one con would have to be the lack of a sign for the hotel. However, they are waiting on approval, so it's forgivable. Our room had a floor-to-ceiling window in the shower that looked into the bedroom. I couldn't get over that particular feature. "modern, clean, and great location"
love this hotel, clean, great large bathroom, beautiful design and decor. Great continental breakfast with selection of croissants The only complaint is the owner of the restaurant was not friendly, and rude, and I was asked to move as a certain section of the restaurant was not being served, yet when another couple came down, they sat at the exact […] same table, and he did not ask them to relocate. and then they ran out of cups and cream for coffee, even though there were still lots of people eating, and people were still coming in for breakfast. Small boutique hotel. Room is clean and with great design. Location is excellent. Close to subway station and right at the heart of downtown. Free wifi and breakfast(pastry basket)and bottle water. "LOVED Chez Swann"
I travel extensively and truly appreciate properties that display a sense of whimsy and style. Chez Swann does so in spades without sacrificing amenities or creature comforts. I will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and colleagues who travel to Montreal.

The entrance to Hotel Chez Swann, is unlike many other flagship hotels. Its small and narrow, like a backstreet with grafitti on walls, only this time with tasteful decor and art. Upon entering my room, reviews on Hotels.com only started to make sense. My room is uniquely renovated, giving me a unique sense of comfort and satisfaction. Hotel staff […] are helpful. However, there is an issue that is quite displeasing; thats the hotel breakfast service. The continental breakfast offered, as were claimed, were satisfactory, but the service is just unbelievably poor, despite the hotels effort and emphasize on quality service. For my only 2 breakfast encounter, I can constatly hear the waiter mumbling and complaining. I remembered when I requested for a fork, I heard a mumbling reply, I am assuming the waiter silently talking to himself, as he said "What for?!" Simply quite astonshing. Funky little place with killer showers. The breakfast and welcome drink in the adjoining restaurant were nice additions. Parking is off property, but access to Metro is great.

Clean, comfortable trendy little hotel in a fabulous location right downtown within walking distance to everything. Continental breakfast of delicious fresh croissants and brioche is included which is a nice bonus. There were some strange noise in the walls (maybe the boiler?) and when we increased the heat, there would be a clicking noise but these noises were minor and didn't bother us much. Parking in the area is expensive. Approx. $20 a day. Although if you compare the parking to other hotels, $20 is actually cheaper. The hotel recommends an underground parking […] where they provide you with a discount and compared to the other lots we've seen, we agree with that choice. Everything else was excellent. Very clean and upscale feel. Excellent service. The restaurant downstairs provides complimentary breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. "Hotel Chez Swann"
We stayed there in November, and it was great! Ambience, decor and neighbourhood were all excellent. The only complaints we had was that there was no full length mirror, and my room had a skylight which was great in the middle of the day, but a bit bright for late mornings. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel!

I was in Montreal for a conference and ended up choosing between this or the Best Western right near it. Both were almost the same price and I decided that I'd go with the small hotel over the probably more predictable large change. I'm very happy I did! "Great funky small hotel"
We were doing a girls weekend and loved the hotel. Our bathroom door was locked and the tv was out but the staff did everything to fix ASAP. The decor is really fun, huge room and great French style breakfast included.

The willingness of the staff to help me out, during an unexpected situation that occurred, went above and beyond anything I could have possibly expected. The decor is quaint, the location is excellent (within 5 blocks of the convention center, and within 2 blocks of nightlife), and I enjoyed my room's huge moonroof.

The Hotel Chez Swann is a delightful boutique hotel that is very conveniently located in downtown Montreal, close to the Metro, good restaurants and shopping. Hotel is IMPOSSIBLE to find. We KNEW it was from other reviews and still couldn't find it. They do not have their own lot, they give you a coupon for the garage at 1414 Drummond (on the left, start of the block after Rue Ste-Catherine). Bathroom is fancy. Breakfast was not overly broad, but complimentary and the pastries were delicious - definitely first come-first served. Hotel is central to many sites, a decent half hour walk gets you to the old part of town, an easy walk takes you to the steps up to Mont Royal, there are museums, churches, restaurants and clubs (of all varieties) right outside. If you are not looking for a full service hotel this is a great spot. 2 blocks from the metro, nice continental breakfast included. All of the staff speak English and were very helpful. With discount, parking only $15/24 hrs.

My only criticism of this property would be that they don't have room service. On each and every other detail the hotel exceeded expectations.

Quality of hotel service: Amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the rooms did not have a fridge, the staff were more than willing to put our drinks in their fridges and bring ice up to us. Cleanliness of room: Super clean. Didn't find any problems. Cleaning ladies were superb. Comfort of room: Our room was a standard room with two queen beds. I must say I was very surprised at the luxury of the room. The room was huge (much bigger than a regular hotel room, including standard rooms at the Hilton and Mariott). The beds were very comfortable. The washroom is huge and lavishly furnished with double sinks, double showers (each with 4 shower heads), and even a talking scale. Convenience of hotel location: Super convenient. Only minutes away from St.Catherine St (where all the shops and resteraunts are) and Crescent St (where many clubs are located). On the same street there is also a YMCA (although the hotel has its own fitness room), a 24 hour cafe (with delicious paninis) and a smoothie shop. The location was also walking distance from Old Montreal and Mount Royale Park (both about a 30 minute walk) - there is also the city's popular bike docks across the street where you can rent bikes if you prefer to. Surrounding neighbourhood: Can't complain. We barely saw anyone else at the hotel as I expect they were enjoying the rest of Montreal during the day. Montreal is generally a clean city (comparing to Toronto) and is well lit at night. A lot of people noted that it was particularly noisy during their stay, however we didn't hear a thing (although there is a resteraunt located in the hotel). Other comments: - The hotel offers free breakfast (7-10am), but we did not take advantage of this as we never woke up on time. - There is free local and long distance calling with Lesa meira

Great hotel, stylish, cool comfortable etc. but our room on the 3rd floor had a huge skylight that looked great during the day and at night, but not so great at 5:45 AM when our room was bathed in sunlight.
