Hotel Villas Miramar – Zihuatanejo

There are 2 parts to this hotel, one is up the hill from the beach with an ocean view the other is across the street and has no view – the restaurant has the worst service – and it took an 45 minutes to get happy hour drinks – then they charged us full price since they delivered them after happyhour had finished – The room was noisy since the part of […] the hotel we were in was next to the breakfast area. The desk clerk had an attitude when we checked in and asked to be put on the beach section – we were told that it was full but we didn’t see more than 2 or 3 rooms that appeared occupied while lounging at the pool. – OVERALL I would not recommend this place – there are many many hotels and have stayed at other places for less than half of the cost of Villa Miramar that were way better. I will never stay there again. ALSO the food at the restaurant is not worth it as well, it took an hour to show up and was cold and OLD, the room was clean - the TV didnt work, the AC unit was noisy - Lesa meira

We only stayed for one night -- in transit between other destinations -- so our family's experience may not be as informed as a longer stay might have allowed. But the room was adequate -- clean and reasonably quiet. The bottom sheets on the beds were neither big nor fitted -- which meant that the lightest movement led to bare mattress! Adequate for a short term stay. Close to beaches, but no view. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean, but old and sparse. Wouldn't recommend a long term stay.

Great place to stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Great location with rooms overlooking the beach and bay. I was disappointed that internet access was an extra expense and should have been included in the price of the room. Overall I was very pleased and would highly recommend this smaller hotel to anyone coming this direction.

My only complaint is that our room was in need of some deep cleaning. The bathroom had a bit of a mildewy scent and I woke up in the middle of the night with allergy irritation. Other than that, the hotel is nice. It's in a good location if you don't want to be too far from the center of town. And, it's great to be right on the beach.

Villas Miramar is a lovely small hotel, right on the best beach in Zihua, with a great location, close to town, quite street, very clean, well kept gardens and pool, courteous staff. Very nice setting above the beach, very pleasant outdoor lunch and dinner. Enjoyed it very much. One problem needs to be addressed: our room at needed better screens to keep out the tiny mosquitoes that bit us up the first 2 nights until we learned not to leave any windows open, even though it seemed they had screens; the screens present did not cover […] the whole window well and allowed mosquitoes in, so we used the AC instead. Ceean, comfortable, good location, great bargin. This place fit all our needs. It has a great patio overlooking the bay and easy access to the beach.

Highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Staff are exceptionally helpful and most speak some English. The grounds are very well kept with lots of loungers and umbrellas. I would definitely stay there again.

Villas Miramar is very close to town and sits on a beautiful beach which is safe and perfect for ocean swimming, catching boats to snorkel or jet skiing. There are a number of excellent small restaurants around, Rufo's, Cafe Viejos, and Hotel Irma's. This was the nicest location i have ever stayed in Mexico although the hotel is not fancy..

The hotel is in a very pleasant location on the Playera Madera, and has direct beach access. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. One of the maids even leaves little flower/leaf patterns on the beds when she finishes cleaning. Pretty! I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Hotel staff was very friendly. This hotel has two pools one which is newer and pretty nice. We had a garden view room it was big,clean and included a mini fridge and a/c. All the rooms include 2 queen bed,couch,and loveseat. This property is gated and they do lock it at night. Pues es un hotel pequeño, con pocas habitaciones, en dos edificios, uno de ellos con acceso directo a la playa. Por ser así pequeño se siente muy acogedor, el diseño de sus habitaciones no son cuadradas como otros hoteles incluso elegantes. Es muy cómodo y agradable, con atención excelente, si lo recomiendo si quieres estar Augusto en Ixtapa. Nice staff. We rented two rooms. They were very spacious. One was in perfect conditions and the other had two problems: the air conditioning was insufficient and the bathroom was a bit smelly. The room service was frustrating due to serving hours. They don’t have service from 3-5 pm and neither after 7 pm. In general is OK.
