First So-Fi – Miami-ströndin

We arrived to this hotel at 830am - I had previously tried to email and call to let the hotel know we would be arriving early. No answer. Reception was unattended until 11am and we couldn't check in until 3pm. Then we had to pay an extra $60 for a cleaning fee! Even though we had already paid $170 per night. They were not accommodating at all. Customer […] service was very poor. The room was simple but not spotless which is what I expected if everyone is paying an extra cleaning fee. Our room was basically a suite including full kitchen (full sized fridge, oven, microwave, cabinets stocked with dishes, dishwasher, even a washing machine for clothes). Location is everything. This is 2 minutes walking distance to South Beach. It's away from the nightclub scenes. The staff is friendly and the price is great.

I liked the Sofi location . They were very disorganized with the maid service as they only gave us two towels for two people and the maid didnt really clean the entire room. We only had two small pillows for our bed and no covers just a sheet. I had to go down the office and basically beg for a cover and pillows and towels. My door handle actually fell […] off one day . The "concierge" spoke little English. I tired French, Spanish and Italian too. My kids said he spoke "Borat" and his attitude matched. About 10 minutes after we checked in, just as we were changing out of our traveling clothes, "Borat" knocked at the door and said the "owners" needed to see the apartment. So there we were, half-dressed with about 8 […] random people walking through our rooms. I was completely offended. In addition, there was no toilet paper, no hangers in the closets, bulbs were burned out, window shades were broken, the floors were dirty, and the shampoo comes in small mustard-packets. When I shared this information with "Borat" he replied "I sorry for you" and that was it. On top of all that, they have the nerve to charge a $60 "cleaning fee" which is not shown on Expedia, and my receipt printed out my full credit card #, code, and expiration date. In other words, any one going through the trash would have your complete card identity for theft. That is completely unprofessional and I will be reporting to my bank. Wow. Lesa meira

I found the First So-Fi a wonderful place to stay. A block from the beach, the apartment was clean and spacious. Although there is no pool it was great to be near the beach and away from the crowds and loud music of the Ocean Dr area. The bus is only 25 cents and there a bikes to rent a block away. I will definitely stay again at the First So-Fi.

Love it! every one very attentive, the apartment was just what you see on the photos, the location the best ... one block from Ocean Drive, one block from Washington Av, just on Collins Av.... perfect perfect! First of all, this is not a hotel, it is an apartment building! This is very important information to have because if you are expecting room service, an elevator, linen and towels - forget about it! The management crew was very nice, and friendly. The decor of the room was nice and modern, stainless kitchen appliances are okay but there was no microwave. The rooms were roomy even if the bathroom was a tad on the small side. Great location. Beer cans were strewn throughout the private deck. Not a good look. I would stay again. Hard to locate. Name of hotel not posted outside of it.

Var lidt skuffet over lejligheden. Det var ikke så lækkert som det fremstå af billederne, men kunne da bruges. Rengøringen var fin nok. Ville ønske jeg havde booket et almindeligt hotelværelset i stedet for en lejlighed, da vi ikke brugte tingene Stedet havde ikke en rigtig reception og man skulle checke ud kl. 11, men der var ikke personale før end […] kl. 11.30 så man skulle bare lade nøglerne ligge i lejligheden. Virker meget uprofessionelt, da der i princippet kunne komme andre ind i lejligheden efter vi var gået. Beliggenheden var en anelse for sydlig. Der var meget byggerod mv. i nærheden. Wir hatten insgesamt drei Appartements die allesamt kleine Schwächen hatten aber für unsere Anforderungen einfach ausreichend waren. Der Kritikpunkt "Parkplätze"ist für mich nicht ganz nachvollziehbar. Man muß nur nett Fragen. Es gibt Parkplätze direkt an der Anlage die nur von Mo- FR. 11AM- 4PM nicht genutzt werden konnten, da dort dann das Personal […] Parken mußte. Den Rest der Zeit war das Parken direkt am South Beach also kostenlos. Eigentlich jedes Hotel am South Beach nimmt ca. 20$ Parkgebühr pro tag. Der service war in Ordnung, ist halt kein ****Hotel. Die Appartement waren ausgestattet mit Fernseher, Microwelle, Ofen, Waschtrockner, Kühlschrank. Es fehlte der Toaster und die Kaffeemaschiene. Wer also Baden will hin da!! Lesa meira

Nice hotel in a exelent location. Extra cleaning fee was a joke. We have to ask toilet paper and towels one time and cleaning the floors didn't seem to included into the deal. But in the end me and my gf were hapy with the overall vacation. Free WiFi and numerous list of TV chanels was a big bonus.

Als wir um ca 16 Uhr ankamen, war die Eingangstür verschlossen. Die Telefonnummer, die man anrufen sollte, falls man vor 15h bzw, mach 20h ankam, was nicht der Fall war, war nicht mehr vergeben. Über die Außentreppe fanden wir im 2. OG eine offene Tür. Rufend liefen wir durch das Gebäude, bis wir die "Rezeption" (ein Büro) fanden. Unser Apartment war […] geräumig, modern und sauber. Leider beinhaltete die Reinigung nur das Austauschen der Handtücher (außer sonntags), so dass es nach drei Tagen etwas sandig wurde. Leider war das Schloss der Haupteingangstür des Gebäudes über das Wochenende kaputt und so stand die Tür die ganze Nacht offen. Am Abend vor unserer Abreise, als wir gegen 21:30 vom Abendessen zurückkamen, war das Türschloss dann repariert. Leider war jetzt das Gerät für den Türcode außer Betrieb, so dass wir nicht mehr hinein kamen. Da die angegebene Telefonnummer nicht funktionierte und die Rezeption nur zwischen ca 12 und 20h besetzt ist, mussten wir warten, bis jemand das Gebäude verließ. First So-Fi ist KEIN Hotel. Es ist ein Apartmentgebäude mit schlechtem Putzservice, den man extra bezahlen muss. Wer also nur eine Unterkunft mit Küche sucht, kann hier etwas buchen, den Service eines Hotels /Motels findet man hier nicht. Nach drei Wochen USA und 7 verschiedenen Unterkünften, war das mit Abstand die Schlechteste! Und entgegen den Ausführungen bei Tripadvisor gibt es KEINE Parkmöglichkeiten. Andere Parkplätze gibt es, sie kosten aber ca. 25-30 Dollar pro Tag. Lesa meira

El hotel, si se puede decir que es un hotel es lamentable, no tiene ni numeración ni nombre en la puerta, no hay una recepción y sin un código que no me dieron previamente no se puede ingresar. Reserve una habitación con 2 dormitorios y resulto que solo tenia 1 y un sofa. Lamentable!!!! Ni siquiera tenia con quien quejarme porque para contactar a alguien […] estuve hora y media en la calle esperando que llegaran, una verguenza!!!!! Lesa meira
