This hotel is standard for Super 8 -- and very clean. But the aroma of cleaning product that hits you in the face as you enter the room is really disgusting.

The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The room was Spartan but spotlessly clean, freshly painted, and newly furnished. The exterior, however, needs a lot of work. Second floor walkways are crumbling, and the grounds are in poor condition. The breakfast is predictable but adequate. The hotel is located just off the interstate on a […] state highway so the surrounding neighborhood is primitive and underdeveloped. This motel was chosen by others as a central site for a family gathering in Sewanee. Considering the price we paid for the room, this Super 8 motel is not a good financial value. Lesa meira

A great place to stay. There is parking at or near the door. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Wifi was available but the signal was never strong enough. We would choose the motel again otherwise.

We usually plan to stop here on the way down to or back from Florida. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfortable.

The interior of the hotel is much nicer than the outside, which is outdated and old. You can see that the interior rooms were updated (like Hampton Inns) and they get an A for effort. Although our room was updated, as you can see if you look at the interior pictures on the web site, the room still had an old, musty smell.( like an old smoking room that […] was turned into a non-smoking) The morning staff was polite and they had the typical hotel breakfast which saved us the hassle of going to a restaurant. The motel is very convenient, the staff is friendly and helpful, the room quite adequate.

The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. Other than that, it was a very disappointing stay. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were very bad. The TV did not get a clear reception on any channel except the channel in Spanish. The faucet on the sink shot water all over the place. The water pressure in the shower was next to nothing.

The owner obviously refurbished the hotel so it is quite nice in comparison to other Super 8 motels. The room was musty though. Good hotel for visiting Sewanee, since you won't be spending too much time in the room. It is on the west side of I-24, and closer to Sewanee than any hotel except for the Best Western Smokehouse Lodge, which is more expensive. […] The staff was pleasant and helpful, when we forgot to bring toothbrushes and toothpaste. Hotel was very clean and updated. The room looked exactly like the pictures and was quite comfortable and spacious. I have never seen another motel-style room with such luxurious carpeting or bedding. My son and I were in town for a campus visit at Sewanee which is only 5 miles away. It was simple to find the hotel and just as easy to get to the college. […] There are several places to eat nearby (many within walking distance) like Subway, Waffle House, a local place called the Smoke House. We went to the grocery store to get water and snacks for hiking. Very convenient. Continental breakfast was included - the basics: a variety of breads for toast, bagels, a couple of kinds of muffins, some cereal selections, coffee, juice and one kind of fresh fruit. Nicely presented and fresh daily. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. There was some traffic noise from the nearby highway even though we stayed on the furthest side away from the road. The shower head was a bit low for my 6 foot son. Overall, if my son decides to attend Sewanee, you can bet our family will stay at this hotel again - and recommend it to others! Lesa meira

The inside of the room was lovely. Unfortunately it is very close to an expressway with noise from trucks. The outside is less impressive than the clean, nicely decorated rooms.

Very nice on a super hot day. It is an Innov8 Super 8 so a little more upmarket. Nice beds and room although it only had a floor based AC which was noisy. No swimming pool (disappointing). We did not try breakfast but went to the nearby Jim Oliver's Smokehouse (fantastic food). Good value night although other hotels also offer mid week specials so be […] careful. Clean room. Nice and friendly staff. Great stop if you're traveling, and a nice, inexpensive option for any trip to Monteagle/Sewanee. I would recommend it for a trip on a budget.

Close to Sewanee. Clean quiet and very nice hotel manager. Room was quiet with occupied rooms next door. I felt safe.

The breakfast was a little lacking. We felt the price was a little high, but would stay again if in the area. Very pleasant staff!!

The room itself was very nice, beds very comfortable. Two drawbacks...had to park and walk around end of building to interior courtyard for access to room...as a single traveling female I would not choose for that reason. The best thing going for this hotel was the friendliness of the check in and front desk staff. They were superb. But so much else was just....wrong. It seems to be a place where long distance truckers and cable repair people stay for a week or so at a time. One night they barbecued from the back of the truck about twenty feet from our window. One day […] the maids came and changed the towels and stuff but didn't make the beds. I can only assume she/they got distracted and forgot. The breakfast was pretty bad. This hotel is literally right off the interstate. More modern room that I anticipated. They do not have refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms but told me I could use the ones they have in their kitchen. Very friendly service. Free wireless. All in all, good hotel.

We decided last minute to make a college visit and booked this room online. We arrived at 1:30 am. We were surprised to find the clerk waiting for us with our information in hand. An excellent hotel, friendly and helpful staff, easy parking and access to the room. Continental breakfast was satisfactory (not scaled 1-5), nearby restaurants satisfactory (not scaled 1-5).

The room seemed ok when I entered , and I never expect luxury when I look for value pricing, but when I noticed the accent runner over the end of the bed had stains on it, I pulled back the sheets and all the linens had stains. I can put up with the noisy AC and the small shower space, but I stay in a place to sleep, and when I feel uncomfortable sleeping […] in the bed, that makes things unacceptable. Lesa meira
