"close to beach"
i booked the room 2 months early and was told i would have a 2nd floor room, NOT what I got, I got a ground floor room in a bad spot where there was to much nouise & little kids being very LOUD ringing my door bell not my idear of a picefull time ,

Everything is great. The only thing I can complain is that the office only opens between 8am - 8pm. I arrived at 11:30pm, and the office was closed. Finally with the help of a nice guy, I could find the door key in a dropbox that is at the corner in front of the office. The room is very clean and tidy. We didn't know what to expect, the reviews were mid-line so figure it was going to be a toss up. I have to say, I was very impressed with this hotel. It was homely, while still being up to date with the times. Great location, close to the beach, and surrounding cities. I def. will check this place out again.

The hotel is great and pool beautiful:) I cant say enough about the staff, they were accomodating and wonderful. Although we arrived early we were able to secure our luggage and change into our swimsuits and hit the beach while they arranged for an early check in for us. Each time I'm in Hollywood, I will definitely stay at this hotel... Very clean, convenient... like a little apartment. I recommend the one bedroom suite... "not bad, but not great"
We choose this place because it was walking distance to the ocean, 1 bed room apt, with laundry and pool. The beach and board walk area is quite nice. Barely any waves, lots of good restaurants, not too crowded. The laundry is used by housekeepers from 8 to 8, then you need 16 quarters to do a load. The pool is nice, small, and by a very busy road. Also […] keep in kind english is a second language there. And majority of the tourist are european. It wasn't a problem, just weird to feel like you're in a different country. Lesa meira

"Hollywood Beachside Boutique - Fantastic Locaton"
We had a great stay at the Hollywood Beachside Boutique Suites in Fort Lauderdale. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic, practically on the beach. Had a wonderful stay and won't hesitate to recommend to others.

The price and location of this hotel are great. It is about a two minute walk to the beach (and the beach itself is beautiful). The staff was friendly and pretty helpful when we had questions. The room itself was a little small, and had a small kitchen you could use if you wanted. The large refrigerator was nice. My main complaints are: 1) The maid […] service always came between 5 - 6:30pm which was always when we were getting ready for dinner, so the room only got cleaned twice in 5 days. Sand tended to gather on the tile floor, so it would have been nice to be swept each day. 2) The A/C was right next to the bed, so the person sleeping on that side of the bed was freezing (and it was too hot to just turn it off) 3) There was a brightly lit walkway outside our room and the window shades did not block enough light, so we went out and bought black trash bags to cover the window (which solved the problem for us) Lesa meira

The service at this hotel was the best. After running late to surprise my husband, I had no choice but to take him with me to the hotel but the manager had a great idea so that I didn ha to spoil the surprise. She told me to tell him that the room was not ready yet. With that said, she ran to my rescue and immediately saved the day with her idea and […] by coming to my rescue by helping me decorate the room with rose petals, balloons, and candles! Stayed for only one night at the HBBS (as planned). It is a group of 3 small buildings that make up the property. It appears to be recently renovated to some degree. Our room (#24) was on the first floor and, was a fair sized room with all the amenities promised. The room was very clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. It was a very short walk to […] the beach and the parking was convenient. The pool is located directly on Rte 1-A (busy road) but we did not get to use it due to our limited stay. "Great rooms, terrible road noise."
Great rooms for good price ion terribly noisy road. Room in the back would have been better, really only option for this place. I could not open windows, busy street, trucks and cars, all night and day. So sad. Great rooms, good local, noise ruined it all.

great location, it's not a fancy hotel but it is clean and staff is friendly. I would stay there again but maybe get a bigger room. Not a lot of space in the bathroom. But honestly with so much going on the beach, pool etc. we only slept and showered there. It is was very economical.

Not a big chain, small quaint hotel. The rooms are very clean, the staff is super helpful. The only difference between this and a high cost hotel is the cost. Closeto the beach and the boardwalk. My only recommendation to the hotel is to raise the tv about 10" inches up the wall, and lower the bathroom mirror by 6" so that a shorter person can actually […] look into the mirror. "Hollywood Beachside Boutique Suites - Alright"
Nice and "renovated" hotel. Probably one of the "nicest" for the area of Hollywood. Literally 3 minutes away from a quieter, yet very nice part of the boardwalk and beach. We appreciated the deck and used the BBQ there. Nice and comfortable. Personnel was nice and helpful. Bed was below average and amenities very minimal. Cleanliness was okay... We […] had to request for new towels and for our bath to be washed after 5 days (from our dirty feet from the beach!). Bottom line, it is not a large chain hotel but you get what you paid for. I really enjoyed this quite hotel by the beach. I will definitely stay here again. The staff were very friendly. One note of caution...the office is open from 8am-8pm. If you will be checking in after 8pm, be sure to call and make arrangements get your key.

after driving down to miami for four hours to meet our hotel, wasn't quite satisfied. we had to wait for about fifteen minutes since there was no one at the front counter to check us in. and finally someone came (and thank god he was very kind), got our keys to our room... there were spider web (actually a lot of lints hanging off the ceiling catching […] some flying insects) greeting us as we opened our door! if it wasnt for being so close to the beach, i would not stay at this place again. "Every thing we wanted and expected."
Hotel with windows that opened for good breezes!! I hate hotels with windows that don't open. Woke to lots of birds singing in the morning. Floors without carpet but instead with (Travertine?) tile so you could be sure the floors were clean, and clean this place is. Lovely and spacious outdoor terrace with good shade, and a barbecue --beautiful umbrella […] shade, like artwork. Located close to the center of the boardwalk within easy reach of the theater, restaurants, trolley, buses, and a terrific bakery/bistro across the street on the inter-coastal waterway. True, there is no phone so you won't get room service (big deal) but the staff here was very friendly and always smiling. They even gave us an umbrella and sand chairs to take to the beach. Nice shower/tub but not so good sink stand. No bedroom closet but a rack hanger that worked well. Clean utensils (no corkscrew) and enough space to call this an apartment. Lesa meira

I loved this little hotel so very clean and 1 block from the beach so modern and fresh. Staff was awesome and tthey even had a beach chair for me to borrow as I was there on business and got so free time. I will definately make this my choice hotel when I am in town! I even stayed an extra day I liked it so much!
"not the best customer service"
we called ahead to request a crib for our 6 month old and they said everything was fine, but when we got there they told us "sorry, all our cribs are being used" When we told them we called ahead to request one they told us "we do not guarantee that they will be available." I was furious. After a lot of arguing, they went to walmart and got another […] crib for us. Very cold pool right by the highway. No housekeeping if you stay longer than one night. The rooms are small - don't be fooled by the name "suite" - it's a tiny room with a kitchette and a bed in it - no sitting area unless you get the 'one bedroom' - which is not a seperate room either. We have stayed in many locations in Hollywood Beach and this place takes the prize for the best. Spacious, clean, rooms with outstanding customer service. The parking situation is head over heels better than the competition. I would stay here again without a doubt. "Poor customer service - but good location"
We had 2 rooms w/full kitchens booked. Upon check-in, they seemed surprised that we had a reservation and offered us one room w/kitchen and one w/out. Fine. We stayed for 4 nights, and upon arriving back at our room around 5PM after the first day out, our room had not been cleaned. The maid showed up shortly after saying she could give us towels, but […] that she was leaving for the day (ie: not going to clean the room). We spoke to the maid and asked for her to clean the room the following day. Second day, I came back around 1PM and found that the room had not been cleaned yet, so I asked the front desk to ensure it would be cleaned by 4PM when we returned. My husband came back a little early, at 3:30 and was in the shower when the maid came in. She half-made the bed and left when she realized he was in the shower. She never returned to either room. At 5PM, I spoke to the front desk who was EXTREMELY rude to me (I believe it was the manager), telling me that they most certainly did clean both rooms and that she was present when they did so. This was completely untrue, not to mention the fact that she was very defensive and rude to me. She said she would come check it out, when I insisted that neither room had been cleaned (our trash was overflowing, beds unmade, etc). She never came to check the room. When we checked out I asked for the price difference of the room w/the full kitchen (since we only rec'd one of said rooms w/full kitchen). She only grudgingly said that she would give us the other price, after some discussion, but said it would have to be done through hotels.com. I called hotels.com today, who contacted the hotel. I was told that the person at the front desk did not have the authority to adjust the price and that I would have to call hotels.com (and have them call the hotel) again tomorrow. This happened twice - third time was the charm and I was fairly refunded for the difference in price. Anyways - besides all this, it's fully remodeled (basic, but dec Lesa meira

Why doesn't my room have a chair for my little old grandma to rest upon? Don't bring a guest to this place because chairs don't come in standard rooms. "Beautiful area"
Hollywood Beach is one of those beaches not many people talk about, but it is a great place with a nice boardwalk right there on the beach. The area is clean, and the food choices are great. The hotel staff was very accomodating when we arrived early, and they made sure they did everything they could to make us comfortable.
It was extremially disappointing, was expecting something like the Sharaton or Hilton Garden. We have never stayed in a low end hotel such as this one, very upsetting.

We booked the hotel for a brief stay before leaving for a cruise. We wanted a place that wasn't too far from the port. The location was great, very near the beach and restaurants. The location is excellent...just steps to Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk. The staff is extremely helpful, courteous and efficient. The room was very clean and pretty. The rates were reasonable. No complaints. I would recommend very highly to anyone.
