Nice stay overall. 2BR unit so perfect for 2 couples traveling together. One bathroom, and at opposite end of unit from bedrooms was somewhat of a negative. Only peeve is free wireless internet is only available in lobby and charge for having connectivity in room is per device, not room. Per room would be acceptable. Per device is punitive. The check in process was ridiculous. The elevator service were not capable of moving the guests during check in nor in the early evening or morning....just when you need them. The parking was $16 and there was NO parking and with downtown Vancouver and the meter system it made it very difficult to access our accommodation. When we checked out the receipt […] we got was in our name but with somebody else's address in the USA. So, then that makes two front customer service personal inadequate. Hmmmm. because of the convenience to Rogers arena we might try it again. Lesa meira

First time staying here and in a timeshare room, loved all the conveniences of home with the kitchenette. Our friends stayed in another room and didnt have all of the same items, cream, sugar, shampoo etc, ours did so I guess it depends on the owner of that time share ? A great hotel within walking distance to BC Place and Rodgers Arena. The rooms are very clean and the hotel is quiet. My room was adjacent to the elevator and I never heard any noise from people and party goers getting off it. Who has ever heard of a 4:00 pm check in time? We were not told it was a time share. We had to ask AGAIN for a floor high up. We booked a deluxe room and paid for a deluxe room and got a less than average room. We stayed before this time and got a gorgeous room for less money in the high price season.

I am used to having shampoo and other products in a hotel room. This one (room 1505)offered none, other than soap and coffee. No shampoo, lotions, etc. We made do, but it is something to consider. There was no information in the rooms as far as amenities: location of ice machines, smoking areas, restaurant menus, etc. However, they did manage to include […] a tip envelope for the maid service...go figure! There is only one ice machine, located on the 2nd floor, in a hotel that has 20 floors, which I found a little unusual. The room and the bed were comfortable. The best part of this hotel is location! Walking distance to everything: shops, arenas, downtown, Stanley Park, Granville Island ferry. Parking is paid, and first come, first served, making that a downside if you didn't arrive at a good time. We were attending concerts...and so were a large number of other people in the hotel on the same days we were there. If you happen to be doing the same, make sure you leave your room very early in order to actually get an elevator! I would, absolutely, even knowing what I now know about this hotel, recommend it, and I would stay there again! Lesa meira

Our stay was quite pleasant, after the initial challenge of parking. In reserving the room I requested secure parking, which in my books translates that parking would in fact be guaranteed. Such was not the case. The desk clerk basically pointed out several possible public options several blocks away, because the hotel does not control the facilities […] beneath the hotel. Fortunately we did just drive below and found a space. One of three elevators was not working when we arrived and the other two were not sufficient to handle the passenger volume. We ended up walking up nineteen floors which is okay because we are fit enough, however many patrons were frustrated. We liked our suite alot save for the TV's which were old. The only complaint was that there were so many people checking in at the same time and heading out to the same event that the elevators were jammed up. Only appeared to be two (of three) elevators working for 21 floors! After waiting for 10 minutes we ended up walking up 19 flights to our room, then back down for the show and then up again after the […] concert. If coming for a large event I would request a room on a lower floor (although the view was amazing). I am sure every hotel within walking distance of BC Place had the same problem. The room was great, the bed was very comfortable and it had a a kitchenette so we could have made our own meals if we wanted. Lesa meira

It is a poor substitute for staying at the Rosedale Hotel itself. Cost is the same but there is no service, no access to pool, sauna and exercise room , desk refuses to help with shampoo , conditioner or anything else. therefore if you leave anything behind plan on changing out of your comfort clothes , put back on your street clothes and go out to […] a store. even the telephone is unplugged and no cord to plug it back in , probably to prevent use. We didn't have a shampoo in our unit, and when we asked we were told that our unit is a timeshare unit, so we don't get a shampoo.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rosedale on Robson, it was very quiet and close to shopping and to Rogers where we went to the Justin Beiber concert.

Hotel location is excellent, but it is showing it's age. Living-room is dark. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a truly wonderful facility. Although our room was a little tight (mostly because of 4 large bags and 2 carry on bags, computer bag and camera bag) it had a separate small dining area and a kitchenette that was well stocked with everything you would need. Close to BC Stadium, transport and shops. Enjoyed the fine pool and spa and found all the […] staff very polite and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to others. Lesa meira

The location was perfect and the bedrooms very comfortable but the living room space was very awkward. We walked in to two large fans turned on and parked in the middle of the room for no other reason than ventilation that we could guess. The bathroom fan wouldn't turn off and the front desk had to contact Vacation International to fix it as the room […] was really maintained by them? The elevators also take forever. It was our 40th Anniversary. We let them know ahead of time and asked them while there to help us celebrate, they basically said that we are on our own. So, for any special occasions, this is not the place. Nice central location.

Great staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. We were traveling with rucksacks and minimal access to laundry facilities. Hotel has laundry facilities, swimming pool, gym which were all really well maintained. Rooms were well equipped with kitchens, lounge area, bedroom and bathroom making it really flexible to eat in or out. Fab place

This hotel is in an good location being only a block from the QE theater. It is within walking distance to most of downtown Vancouver. Parking was easy although not cheap. We enjoyed Rosies for our meals, and staff were great. It is not oppulant, but is well maintained (built in 1995 I think) and well managed from what we experienced. We will use […] it again. the room was dowdy and old, the AC was a block of ice, service was called twice with the same response when they viewed the situation, turn up the heat to defrost the AC. this heated the room even more with no results. IT WAS STIFLING FOR OUR 2 DAY STAY. NEVER AGAIN.

Very nice to stay a vacation where motels and hotels were frequented. This was significantly better - a great last night of our trip. Did not realize, that the second bed was a hide-a-bed, that was a disappointment, An odd room design, as the living room was dark and closest to the hallway, while the bedroom was full window exposed to the world.

The room was well-suited to a family of 6, although a slightly larger living space would have been appreciated. The kitchenette was older but functioned fairly well (oven a little difficult to use with smoke detector!!). Place was clean, and the bedrooms large. The staff were very helpful, although it would have been nice to have had a welcome/check-in […] occasionally to see if we were ok. Great location, close to everything - we hardly used our vehicle (parking not badly priced either). Pool space was great. Will use again! Lesa meira

The Rosedale's location is perfect. A few short blocks from most major venues, Rogers Arena, BC Place and the Theatre District. Yet off the major party track, so it's quiet. Enjoyed the hotal and location. The only construction feedback we can offer is we did not care for the low bed in the master bedroom. We found it felt like we were sleeping on the […] floor. I stayed for 3 nights, but my room never got cleaned. I had to ask for extra towel and soaps. Location is really handy to all tourist attractions in Vancouver. View looks awesome. Rooms are quite comfortable as well. Internet is not free in rooms.... this was something special in a hotel in downtown Vancouver. Otherwise overall it was good condo for […] families. Lesa meira

The Hotel at Rosedale and the Rosedale Condominiums are run by two different companies. If you book a condo you do not get daily house keeping, clean towels daily or amenities like shower soap and shampoo. Having forgotten our shampoo at our previous hotel I called the front desk to ask for shampoo and was told by person on the other end of the line […] that because I was booked in a condo and not a hotel room housekeeping could not bring us a small bottle of shampoo. I would have to call the condo management company, Vacations International the next morning and take my issue up with them. At 11 pm my husband went out to the 7/11 to get shampoo. We got clean towels 3 days into our stay after requesting them through the condo company, be sure to call between 9-5. Good points location and neighborhood were good. Lesa meira

There were four guests for the accommodation and only enough facecloths and towels for three. On Saturday and Sunday it was very hot in Vancouver. When we came home and went to bed the air conditioning was not working properly. The air conditioning only worked in one room so the couple who were in the front room on the pullout bed did not have airconditioning. […] Even in the bedroom it was very warm. The thermostat would not allow us to take the temperature lower than the existing. We asked for a fan, especially for the couple on the pullout bed. They said they would look for one but we never heard from them. Our nights sleep was very uncomfortable and we should have been able to regulate the thermostate to increase the intensity of the cool air. Lesa meira

Arrived asking for an early entrance to two rooms. Everything was ready for us. Rooms were very comfortable/ linens lovely and fresh. Not a lover of hotel rooms but would definitely return if hotel room in vancouver was required. Nice to have lobby restaurant with affordable food and beverages.

The staff was excellent, the acoomodations, divine. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere from this hotel. Downtown Vancouver at our fingertips, with everything we needed right there. The only complaint would be that elevators are slow for the height of the building, but even the staff know this and apologized. Since we were on the 19th floor, […] it made for some small wait time. The kitchen was nice enough for short term cooking for a family of three, but would not work for much longer, and it allowed us to pack lunches and have breakfast in. There are several decent groceries nearby. The pool is not very deep, and there is no where comfortable to change, soyou do have to walk through the main area of the hotel, keeping you from feeling very private. No worries to us, but some might feel uncomfortable. Useful free maps at the front desk, and everyone friendly. Internet in the lobby only and hit or miss, but I did not pay for the upgrade to have internet in my room, which might have been better than the lobby service. Most important thoughwas just how centrally located and comfortable the whole place is. I would recommend it to anyone who is in the Vancouver area!.... Lesa meira
