"They say first impressions count... I chose the Kyriad in Poulainville based on the hotels proximity to Amiens. When arriving it was a number of minutes before the reception staff answered the bell which I had to hit twice for attention. As this was a Road Trip, I had a number of bags and asked if a luggage trolley was available to be told not by the chap on the front desk. (See final words) We were then told the restaurant next door was closed but food was available to be ordered and either...

"Clean affordable place to stay while on the road. Can walk to LIDL to restock for travel in the AM. Breakfast available. Staff left me a key in lockbox to allow me to get into room arriving late."

"Pleasant tranquil location with garden and outside seating, charming host and clean modern rooms. Good breakfast. Much better value and more enjoyable than a hotel. Bedsheets all linen. Great shower. However low ceiling over bed and nowhere to put toiletries by basin. "

"Super close to the train station, great parking at a reasonable rate, great continental breakfast. Desk clerks were alway friendly and helpful when asked any questions. The hotel is in the same building as a supermarket, which made it easy for us to grab a snack or water for on the road. Centrally located to many restaurants, bars, cafés, shops, etc. Great pedestrian mall, terraces, etc. Amiens has a great vibe!"

"This is a great hotel to stay at. Its location makes it convenient to the train station and many of the attractions in Amiens. It is a walkable city with some lovely parks. Staff were pleasant rather than friendly but helpful when needed. This is our second stay at this hotel and we would stay again if in Amiens."

Breakfast was delightful with a fantastic view of the cathedral’s rose window. Nice room with a small balcony and again a view of the cathedral. Nice quiet street good secure parking very close."

"The rooms are above the resturant. Our room was nice, and clean, and really good sized. The hotel is next door to another good resturant, and there are several good places to eat within 100m or so. Go to the underground war museum across the street, and learn about WW1 and the western front."

"Really nice traditional hotel near the centre of Amiens. The rooms are comfortable although compact. There is a simple breakfast available. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is near the centre with the shops, bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk. There's plenty of parking nearby which is inexpensive. "
