4/10 Fair
Feb 4, 2025
I stayed at this hotel between 01/31 and 02/04/25, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Early on, problems arose. Although I was married, there were no non-smoking rooms with double beds, which forced me to accept an inferior option. Furthermore, the bags took over an hour to be delivered to the room, and this only happened after I went down to reception to request delivery.
I was accommodated in room 314 next to a room that seemed to be used as storage or something similar, and this caused constant noise, with doors slamming all day long, at inopportune times, both in the morning and at night. Sound insulation is practically non-existent, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this category.
Another problem was the constant noise coming from the Nile, as the hotel is located on the riverbank. The sound of boats and the nearby pier made it difficult to rest, making the environment uncomfortable.
The restaurant experience also left something to be desired. Although the hotel has three restaurants, only 1 had a lunch option during my stay, and the service was of low quality. The food wasn't the best either, which only made the dining experience worse.
In short, if you are looking for a 5-star hotel that delivers quality in line with what it charges, I recommend looking for other options. The only positive part of my stay was the breakfast, which at least met expectations. For the rest, it's not worth it.
