Residence Inn by Marriott Des Moines Ankeny

There was a distinct sewer smell around the hotel but not so much in our room. The most concerning was that the room charge was put on my credit card that they required for incidentals at arrival. I’d already paid for our stay through Hotels.com. They were apologetic and helpful in fixing this. I’m glad I’m the type to monitor every charge to my credit card. We appreciated the location for our family event and the rooms are designed so smartly and comfortable. Loved having the kitchenette for our weekend stay.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was great. Due to Covid, some of their services are different, but that's just the way it is right now. They are just being cautious. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This place was absolutely amazing! They are taking a lot of precautions with Covid, so we were still able to use all of the facilities, but in a way that felt safe and structured. The staff went above and beyond for us and were always super nice. The area is really cute and there’s plenty of restaurants and stores to walk to. Groceries were also nearby. We worked out of here for three days and the WiFi worked great. We would highly recommend!

Great hotel with so many choices of entertainment within walking distance.

I wanted a quick weekend getaway to ride my bikes on some unfamiliar roads. I wanted the Ankeny area due the access to the trail system. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The area is amazing! Lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as a nice little park area and shopping. There is a very large grocery store in the area as well which made having a little kitchenette worth it! Refrigerator kept all my fresh fruits and veggies cold and I had a sink to wash everything up in. There really was no need to venture out, but in this area why wouldn’t you venture out!

Nice hotel with great beds and quiet. Excellent service. Coffee was good! Good location to bike to high Trestle Trail The only negative was There was no awning over the front so trying to load up luggage in the rain wasn’t fun.

Wonderful hotel! Newer area and hotel, lots of dining and shops within walking distance. GPS took us the to ‘back door’ which was fine because we figured it out. Check in was easy and employees were very nice! Great breakfast! Would definitely stay again!

Had a very nice 4 night stay The hotel is new and located in The District so there is a great retail and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. It’s a great village style and all you need for a great stay. Staff is excellent.
