Good location.

Nice room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was perfect and not expensive, A lot of trains outside but no problem for us.

Weekend stay

Convenient to Tivoli and main train station. Trains and traffic noisy at times - they did provide ear plugs. Staff friendly and breakfast was very good.

Almost everything about the stay was perfect. It was clean, the rooms were comfortable, and the location was perfect. However, for both check-in and check-out there was only one person working on the reception desk, which meant that it only took one difficult customer ahead of us to make the waiting times very long. They could do with at least one more member of staff during peak check-in/out times.

Every thing worked and we were so happy with our stay at Simon Spies’ old hotel the “Mercur”. It’s very central location and wery convenient when you want go out at night.

Nothing extra here, only the very mere basics

We were on a 24 h get away, with dinner and a concert. We were a bit concerned about our room being literally right next to the paddle/tenniscourt, but when we asked for a possible change of rooms, this was denied. We were not offered any possible upgrade, not even for reasonable added cost. Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good.

Old and run down.

The hotel is situated in a great location. The bathroom floods whenever you take a shower because the water drains so slow. The views from the top floor balconies are amazing, but the train noise makes it hard to sleep.

There’s construction underway in front of the hotel. Breakfast buffet is good. Our room on the second floor was next to a tennis court and was hard to take a nap during a game. Also hotel does not have nearby restaurants except one Italian restaurant which was a little bit pricey.

The hotel altogether was very friendly, the room and the breakfast were very good and the surroundings were convenient. The bath was in old style and was moldy in some corners. That should not be the case for the price we paid. A small defect in the bath we claimed was repared ther very same day in our absence.

Perfect location and a good night’s sleep

It was my husband, daughter and me who only stayed for one night in a triple room. The third bed was a proper bed with its own night table and light. The pillows etc were very comfortable. The towels were thick and nice. Kleenex in the bathroom which I appreciate. Tea kettle in the room with tea, hot chocolate and coffee. The breakfast was over my expectations and in my view nothing was missing. Huge of variety of things to eat and drink. 50 meters to a supermarket.

Average stay, good breakfast, poor service.

My experience was not that great. Breakfast was good, and the best of our experience. Staff was not so friendly, especially when I requested mattress change or to upgrade the room. Low water pressure in bathroom, making difficult to shower or wash our face or fill the kettle.

The second bed was poor. The temperature in our room could not be adjusted, and nobody answered our call when we tried to reach the reception, so we had to sleep at 25 degrees heat.
