The SLS is not what is used to be.....BEWARE Understaffed, Service is HORRIBLE, if you need anything you have to run down to the lobby and ask, no one picks up the phone, no one to clean rooms. No amenities serviced. Very unorganized.
Bling and what it must feel like to be wealthy . It’s worth it to spoil yourself at least once but makes you appreciate keeping the mirrors in your bathroom .
One of the worst experiences i have had at a so called Luxury hotel. 1. 3 days to clean my room 2. Room service took 3 hours 3. Hot water $14 4. Unclean areas around the pool Just bad customer service from beginning to end. Great night manager names Clarence. He helped alot. Was expecting more of a refund because we checked out 2 days earlier than expected.
The room was not as shown. The front desk attendant was extremely rude. Valet took forever. We also were charged hidden fees and didn’t even enjoy ourselves. I would never go back.
We recently stayed at the SLS in Beverly Hills on August 11th, 2020 and had a terrible experience. To start, my boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and had the entire day planned. We booked a room at the SLS and chose the premier king suite in order to have a bath tub for a romantic evening. When viewing suites on the company website, the room had a tub in all of the pictures and included in the description that there was a private bathroom/tub. We tried calling before booking to verify and there was no answer. We assumed that a luxury hotel such as this would not mislead us on their website and that we would get more than what we were paying for in our experience. WE WERE WRONG. We arrived at our room and there was no bathtub. We tried to call guest relations to be moved to another room and we were told that due to covid 19 they were short staffed and only working with 6 rooms that night (out of the entire hotel). We offered to pay more, whatever we needed to make our night the way we had envisioned, and the guy that we were speaking with informed us that all of the rooms with bath tubs were currently dirty and that they were short staffed with only the two at the desk being in charge of housekeeping, etc. We found this very odd that a luxury hotel such as the SLS, had only two employees working the floor for the entire hotel including housekeeping services, etc. So we ended up paying for a more expensive room, to not receive the bath tub for the night...
Good experience overall, loved the room and patio area outside the room. Extremely understaffed at pool. Someone brought in a whole party with over 20 people, their own drinks and food not leaving many seats for paying guests with a room so you can def get away with a lot here. More of an adult hang out. Not really for kids. Bring water. They do not even provide a bottled water in the room and room service takes a couple hours since no restaraunt is open right now due to Covid.

Hotel is nice don’t get me wrong, however they charge you for very little things. For example using the telephone to reach the front desk downstairs was a $15 charge. For what? If they can potentially charge you for something they will. Deposit is $300 for incidentals, a bit high if you ask me, so for every night you stay; they’re tacking on a $300 deposit charge. Lots of better hotels in LA without the unnecessary charges and better customer service. Staff did not have the best customer service at the SLS
Actually really ghetto - was really not happy. Nice room but the atmosphere was trashy.
