Never will I stay
When we first arrived, the entrance was untidy. After checking in and getting to our room, we received a call from the front desk saying we might have been given a room that was already occupied. They later confirmed it was fine. When we entered the room, it smelled odd, but we dropped off our bags and left. Returning around 11 PM, we noticed a towel on the counter above the fridge and a strong odor like pet urine. The carpet made our socks black, and I developed a rash from the bedding. There were only two clean towels under the sink, a used towel on the tub, and an open soap wrapper—making us question if the room had been cleaned at all.
The pool, listed in the description, was locked and empty. While getting ready for breakfast, housekeeping walked in as we were dressing. Due to the condition of the room and lack of cleanliness, we decided to find another hotel. I spoke to the front desk, explained everything, and was told to return the key for a refund. Since I booked through a third party, I was advised to contact them, but was told the hotel would issue a refund. I checked out and received a receipt showing the refund.
However, Hotels.com later informed me that the hotel refused the refund. Despite multiple calls and messages, I haven’t heard back from the hotel manager.
