A Good Overnight Stay I'd Do Again
===========================
I really appreciated that it's a pet friendly establishment, as that let me bring my Akita pup along for the trip.
It's located in downtown *Los Angeles*, so the immediate vicinity wasn't anything special—your typical urban sprawl in a city's "downtown", nightlife and homeless elements included. Of note, there's a CVS across the street, but it doesn't stay open 24 hours. A cash-only parking garage is also conveniently located across the way. But it's still downtown LA, so don't expect a clean and pleasant environment there. If you HAVE to use the stairs at the parking garage, definitely use the outer well around the corner instead of the inner one next to elevator.
These things are outside the Haas Building's control, but helpful to know in advance.
As for the room itself, it was true to the photos and provided more than enough space for me, my 120lb dog, and my trip buddy.
The staff was friendly and helpful, we never had an issue with check-in, check-out, or being buzzed into the building during the stay.
If I had to criticize something, it would be the flimsy polyfill pouches for pillows and the very uncomfortable sofa sleeper. Each of the two sofa seat backs recline all the way back like a futon does, but they're too thinly padded, you definitely a bump at every division in the cushions. It was uncomfortable to where we ended up just sharing the king bed.
