Come enjoy our Cozy log cabin on the banks of Penns Creek, a renowned trout and smallmouth stream about 250’ wide. The cabin is close to the end of a dirt road, which is ideal for long, peaceful, walks and bike rides. The porch has amazing sunset views of the creek because the cabin is situated on the bend in the creek.
The sound of the water on the porch is so relaxing and peaceful that you might not even bother to go to the campfire ring even closer to the water’s edge.
Fish and kayak to your heart's content, or take your ATVs and dirt bikes to the miles of trails that are nearby.
The cabin is within hiking distance of Bald Eagle State Forest’s 193,000 acres, which connects to Poe Valley State Forest, Hairy John State Park, RB Winter State Park, and Rothrock State Forest. There are many, many, miles of hiking and mountain biking trails available and numerous ATV/ snowmobile trails. (Let me verify that all the state forests connect)
The cabin has a full kitchen with new appliances. There are a new washer and dryer in the basement.
You can often see deer cross the creek at dawn as they head home from foraging in fields on the north side of the creek. Bald Eagles are common, as are ducks and geese. If you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of the otters and mink that travel through the area.
You will have complete access to the entire house with the exception to the closet in the basement that will be locked.
There is a Loft that has a Queen bed. You have to walk up the ladder to access. There are handrails for easy access. Also in the basement is the room with the bunk beds.
In lieu of security deposits and booking fees, LoveRentals applies a Limited Property Protection Plan to every reservation for your peace of mind.
