Best Western Plus Savannah Airport Inn & Suites – Pooler

I have no idea why this hotel has such high customer reviews. I thought it was going to be a great value but was quite disappointed. The hotel over all seemed to have seen better days. The elevator was a bit rickety, the shower head couldn't be adjusted for height, the faucet in the bathroom was hangin by a thread and the bed was horribly uncomfortable, the hot tub was out of service, and the indoor pool was a little creepy. And the weirdest thing, of the 4 framed photos in our room, 3 were identical! I wasn't very impressed with this hotel-even for the rate I paid it should've been better

This hotel is an exit (mile) away from the airport which is misleading. The pool nor the fitness room is anything like the photos. I believe the pictures were photoshopped or very dated. The lobby is nice like Vegas hotels (lobby looks and smells nice) but as soon as you walk the hallway, carpet is stained and discolored in many areas. The rooms are very basic. Not sure why there is a sitting area in the room with no TV. And I have to mention the "water bugs". I was told they come thru the air conditioner. Well there were two in my room. They are pretty large and startling. The first must have been there a while and the second I killed myself. They were "nice" enough to give a percentage off of the one night not all that great of a deal given the five day stay I booked thru Hotels.com. Also, there was a stain on the sheet when I checked in. It looked as if someone spot cleaned instead of laundering. Not good. Front desk assistance is "meh" but depends who is on shift. The gentleman was helpful. Air condition units are loud and if it's off, you can hear trucks on the highway. Overall, not a good selection. Better choices next to the airport or downtown Savannah. The rates were up by 60% at many of the 3.5-4 star due to demand. The local college was preparing for student move in. Off peak there are much better options. I don't believe in disparaging, so I added photos.

We had to wait 30 mins in the lobby to check in because of a system glitch even though the room was prepaid. The room was fairly clean but the bath tub was filthy; hairs and stained. The size of the room was good and the proximity to the airport was also convenient.

we are both handicapped and need the luggage cart to move our things, only 2 carts both in need of serious repair. chose this hotel because it's a "plus" but not up to standards, toilet seat in room broken. liked that it was next to the Mighty 8th Museum which we toured

Excellent free breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. With a little upkeep, could really be so much nicer. Pool, whirlpool, and sauna need work; only pool was operational and area around pool needs complete renovation. Carpets need cleaning/replacing.
