Be warned! You must reserve “time” at the rooftop pool in 2 hour increments.. and must book day by day at 8am, not by phone, but downstairs in person. Location further away from San Marco square for dining/ shopping. Carpet in our room was torn/ dated/ filthy. Some rooms need remodeling / updating.

Over priced, but very good hotel
This is a lovely hotel with good ambience and very clean and impressive. However, for the price 1) the pool is small, you can only book 2 hour slots (if lucky), gets a bit crowded etc. 2) there is a ferry (for hotel users) to go main island, but it is not complimentary. Guests have to pay. For a high end hotel I was very surprised. 3) Everything is geared to making you spend money - even a basic like water was at a charge (mini-bar or at shop). Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Venice and to appreciate it from a far. Great links to the main island and easy enough from the airport. The hotel restaurants are pricey though so be prepared for that and maybe not the most kids friendly.
