Tywyn is approximately four miles away offering a wide range of amenities, including shops and small supermarkets, a terrific quirky cinema called The Magic Lantern, with a wonderful outdoor beer garden in the summer. A train station, with regular trains to nearby coastal towns including Barmouth and Aberystwyth, known for their spectacular scenery. The town also offers some good restaurants, Proper Gander and Salt Marsh Kitchen to name a couple or if you prefer fish and chips by the sea, overlooking panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, Walker’s takeaway fish and chips is a great choice.
Aberdyfi is just seven miles away and is a perfect spot to stroll along the lovely sandy beach, play in the sand dunes, or explore the independent shops and cafés. Renowned for its famous golf links course, it’s a great place to visit. Talyllyn railway provides a famous steam train ride with stunning views of the local area. You also have world renowned attractions such as Coed y Brenin Mountain Biking centre and Go Ape, Harlech Castle’s World Heritage Site and Portmeirion. For the outdoor adventurers you’ve got Bird Rock close by, Cader Idris, Dolgoch Falls, and the Mawddach all very nearby.
