The hotel's staff, including the wait staff, bar staff, and front desk personnel, were incredibly kind and welcoming. This made our family vacation feel special right from the beginning.
However, a situation arose during our third day that significantly affected our perception of the hotel. Due to bad weather, a parking sign flew off our truck and into the road. When I approached the front desk to request a replacement, I was taken aback by the response. I was informed that a replacement sign could be provided, but it would cost $20. This unexpected charge for a piece of paper left me utterly surprised and disappointed. I couldn't comprehend how a mere $20 was prioritized over the satisfaction of a guest.
In conclusion, my stay at the MAX hotel was marred by a disparity between the exceptional staff and the ineffective management. The warmth and kindness exhibited by individuals like Peter deserve commendation, but their efforts were overshadowed by the inability of the management to handle guest concerns and create a positive experience. The lack of communication from Taylor the manager further highlighted the disconnect between the staff and those responsible for guest relations.
We will not be back.
