Cradled within a peaceful patch of countryside just a pebble’s throw from Oakham, this heart-stirring, honey-coloured cottage found in Rutland is cosy and charming, spacious and sophisticated, graceful, fun and confident without once losing sight of its delightful tradition. This is a property that celebrates all its character and quirks from the outset in a way that means The Old School House of Knossington can proffer a divine escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Originally two cottages, the downstairs has been opened up to create a bright and comforting home-away-from, the combination of an Aga and modern-oven making this a chef’s dream, while the living room, snug, study and south-facing courtyard create a satisfying ambience that each guest can revel in as they amble from room to room in total tranquility.
