There were numerous issues. The staff was friendly, but the hotel seemed understaffed and our issues were never quite fully resolved/handled in a timely manner. We spent a great deal of money on the hotel room and expected more given the rates.
Had we not decided to stay at a luxury hotel, the below issues could have been something we might encounter at a more budget motel. However, this was supposed to be an upper end hotel, therefore I think it is unacceptable. I understand staffing is a huge issue in today's economy. I also think you shouldn't overbook if you can't handle the guests you have.
We had two different reservations and although we were told numerous times the reservations had been combined, they never were and kept locking us out of our room.
Keys stopped working 3 out of the 5 days we were there and had to be replaced. We got calls asking us when we would be arriving even though we had already checked in and had already been told our reservation had been combined. Had to request maid service almost every day since service did not happen without the request.Did not replenish soap, etc. Our thermostat broke at 8pm one evening. employee told us it was a huge problem with the hotel. It took them two hours to get us to a new room. The new room's sheets had not been washed, a flashing light that lit up every time you got up or moved in the middle of the night. Faucet drained all night (noisy), LED light and phone did not work. Warm but not hot water
