Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lafayette

I was so grossed out and left before daylight. There were roaches, stained and damp towels, the floor was dirty and slippery, the bed had pubic hair all over it, it smelled very bad and every surface was dirty (light swithces, A/C control, lamp switches, dresser, fridge, remote for tv, door knobs). We couldn't take a shower because we didn't bring our own towels. The pillows are paper thin and woke up with a crick in my neck and a headache. The guy who checked us in was very nice and switched us to a better room. The room I'm describing was the better room. The first one was so much worse. I will never book a room that is non refundable again because this is what you get. We were just passing through and had been driving 12 hours already and couldn't make the rest of our trip. The lobby was closed so you'll have to get your coffee or water at the gas station. It was terrible. Our overnight bags are still outside in the garage. I'm so afraid a baby roach hitched a ride and will infest my house. I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The towels were dirty. The room was smelly and I nor my kids were comfortable in that room . Ill NEVER stay there ever again!!!

The only complaint was that they didn't have a non-smoking room available.

The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful knowing my situation but I encountered several issues with my billing that I had to challenge the manager and get corrected. I also didn't like being harassed when my do not disturb sign was on the door.

Room was dirty and location felt unsafe. Left to find another hotel.

Not in the best part of town but conveniently located off the highway and clean and updated rooms. Staff are very helpful.

This place is not on the best side of town. There’s people hanging out at the gas station close to the hotel. All day and night. Police are present frequently. Room semi clean. Needs updating badly. Bathroom door looks like it was punched. Cracked with hole. I would not stay again. EVER. There are several hotels close to this one. Same out door setting. So be mindful. You have to pass the gas station to get in and out of your hotels. And it’s always a heavy traffic of people .

Upon check in was given key to room and the maid wasn't even to our room yet. It was filthy. We waited but it was quick. The floor was ridiculously dirty and sticky .The sink leaked , bulbs were burnt in all lamps but one. And looked like the place wasn't dusted in a year. I was so disappointed. And why did I have an option to pick a room when I was given any.

This property was far from what me and my family expected. There was a lot of traffic in and out of at least 3 neighboring rooms. Towels, sheets in one of the beds, and pillow cases had dirt stains and not changed at all. Shower was dirty. Overall it was a horrible stay and wouldn’t recommend staying. My fan and I didn’t even bother staying the entire night. Yes, that bad!
