Hotel Egina Medellín

La atencion del personal fue excelente , solo destacaria lo poco amigable del administrador deberia ser una persona mas cordial y amable con los huespedes y llamar la atencion del personal en privado y con buenos modales , recuerden el hotel no es solo el edificio . gracias carlos Acosta

I very much liked the Egina. It is very clean and comfortable. Some of the rooms are a bit small. I was on the 5th floor facing the street. The windows allowed considerable street noise in, but that was almost part of the charm. The staff was attentive for the most part. I started on the 2nd floor facing the street and closest room to Calle 70. That room was VERY noisy so I moved the next day and was fine. I suspect the rooms on the back side of the hotel are even quieter. The lobby is very pleasing and the hotel had a decent breakfast. I thought it was included in my package but then learned it was not. However, at about $5 for a buffet breakfast with varied egg and meat dishes each day, plus fresh juices, tropical fruit, and more, I could not complain. Overall the Egina represents a very good value hotel near the Estadio (Stadium). I chose it so that I did not have to travel from the Poblado area each day. I would stay at the Egina again.

Great location for users of metro. Everything is close by. Clean. Only negative for me was that my room was not ready when checking in.

El hotel está en buena ubicación sin embargo muchos amigos me han recomendado otros hoteles más baratos y en mejores condiciones, estoy muy decepsiondo por el personal que tienen no profesional.

Great car service to the airport. Staff pleasant when coming and going. The room cleaned around our schedule.

The hotel is convenient to the metro bars, cafes and restaurants but services really have gone downhill since my last stay a couple of years ago. Reception staff are friendly enough and speak good English but don’t waste your time reporting any faults as generally you’d be better speaking to a piece of fruit. Although the hotel + rooms are kept extremely clean, I reported on day one that there was no hot water, the TV didn’t have any signal and the bedside lighting didn’t work. It took three days to fix the water (reported it 3 times) but no lighting or TV replies or explanation. The daily breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied but I asked for a cup of tea on day one and again on day three but this seamed to fluster the waiter who must only be used to coffee orders. Tea was finally brought to me on day four totally out of the blue as I’d resorted to ordering coffee - perhaps the tea bag delivery had arrived?

Very good location...walkable...2 blocks from train station...
