Directly on the beach!
We had a great view, directly on the beach. However, the room was in need of some cosmetics. Just looked dingy and run down. It looked liked the ceiling had been patched in several places and never repainted. The walls were in dire need of of paint job. It appeared clean until looking closer. Could really use a spring clean as well! On a positive note, I loved the location, and the staff was excellent. They really went out of their way to accommodate every need. I would say a solid start 3 hotel!

They have boats moored in front to the side with a small breakwater with access to fishing and whale watching, snorkling etc

Pleasant and helpful staff
This is a 12 unit condominium hotel right on the Punta Mita beach. The location is great for SUP surfing. The units are modern but show some signs of wear. The beds were firm and the overall room amenities were average. The daily maid service was good and the management staff polite and helpful.

Hidden gem on the beach!
I came here with my three sons and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. We surfed with Felix , rode mopeds with our guide Channon owner of Punta Moto and visited the beautiful Marietas Islands and the natural wonder of the blowhole. We rode on mopeds through the jungle and visited beautiful beaches and ate at amazing restaurants. Horatio, the hotel director plans every detail of your trip if you let him. He knows the island well and hooked us up with the best activities and surf. Make sure you visit Sayulita via moped!! One of the best parts of our trip. Ask Horatio to hook you up with Felix for amazing water activities and surf. The Cinco Hotel has an amazing restaurant Called Tuna Blanco on the beach... best catch of the day and fire cooked shrimps. For cheaper food .. eat to the right of the hotel for equally amazing and cheap tacos.. The Blue Shrimp , a couple of doors is amazing, on the beach and lively.. Selena Gomez and other starts hang around these restaurants and within Punta Mita and I can see why. Eat at the rooftop restaurant at he Cinco for the best smoothies and waffles while taking in the breathtaking ocean front view. The service is impeccable at the Cinco. Jesse and Umberto at the Tuna Blanco are amazing ... Maria at breakfast was so sweet and helpful and Horatio will take care of all of your concerns. This hotel makes you feel like family and my teenage boys just loved the staff and all of their recommendations! Enjoy and stay here for sure!!!

Nice slow paced vacation
we really enjoyed our trip. The Hotel Cinco is nice, small, and you sort of feel like you've got the place to yourself and that the staff know who you are. The staff and local restaurants and population are very nice and accommodating. It was easy to schedule excursions.

Great base for all activities.
The hotel was fantastic. Great staff, awesome room, and in the middle of everything that we needed. The manager Horratio lined up surf trips, boat trips and took care of restaurant reservations. The roof top breakfast with the best view in Punta Mita is a great way to start the day.

Nice hotel on the beach and water.
This is a great hotel with beach and water view. The managers, Rodrigo and Horacio are wonderful. They reccommended restaurants, golf courses, tours, etc. The entire staff was friendly and helpful.

Great Hotel!
This hotel looks right out on a great surf break that is perfect for beginner/intermediate surfing and SUP. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all kinds of recommendations and the room/view was amazing! Quaint little town with great restaurants but if you want night life this is not the spot.

Location location location. Hotel rooms need some work repairs. Big problem at present is the Lift is NOT working, 4 floors to adult pool., jacuzzi is not being used. Otherwise a great place. Restaurants in walking distance, Good.

Stay at Cinco!
We really had a great time staying at Cinco. The staff was well organized and set up all the activities we did during our stay (boat trip/snorkeling, surfing, zip line, dining, transfers etc.) The (big) room was great and had a very nice view of the beach and surrounding area. Take surf lessons from the resident surf instructor (AKA black bear); he was a lot of fun and a nice person. We will be back!

great hotel on the beach with an amazing staff
A perfect hotel in a great little surf town. Very safe and charming. Only 15 minute drive to the fun town of Sayuita. Amazing Zip Line tour about 10 minute drive. 5 different surf spots to choose from. I plan on making this a regular surf hotel destination. Huge suite rooms with great air conditioning, balcony overlooking the water. Do not hesitate to make a reservation here.

Disappointing Stay, 5 Star Customer Service
Our room was a little more than $400 per night, the description in my confirmation said our suite would have an extra bedroom and laundry room and basic hotel amenities. The room had no hair dryer and toiletries were only re-supplied when asked. It looked like our room was undergoing a renovation still...and it was. No microwave in the microwave shelf, a cupboard door was missing and replaced two days later. Staff customer service was 5 star and hotel staff did they absolute best to make sure our stay was a happy one, despite the negatives. The location is great, directly on the beach and literally every other door down the street is a restaurant. The location of Punta Mita itself though, really has nothing except for a few shops and restaurants. It has a little "too small village" feel. I would have preferred to stay in Sayulita.

Great accommodations but staff sets Cinco apart
We're a family of four, including two pre-teen kids. We all loved our stay at Hotel Cinco. We enjoyed spectacular views from our huge, luxurious, ocean-front room (I think they're all ocean-front rooms). The rooftop pool and a beach-side pool were warm and clean. But the best thing about Hotel Cinco is the staff. Managers Roberto and Horacio could not have been friendlier or more helpful. As much as any hotel staff we've encountered, these guys were doggedly interested in making sure we had a great time, were comfortable, and had whatever we needed. So professional and gracious. The staff at the roof-top restaurant, where we enjoyed many great breakfasts, were also exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Everyone else associated with the Hotel was great as well. Great restaurants nearby. Boat trips for whale watching, snorkeling, or fishing depart in front of the hotel.

Great hotel for families and small groups
The location, staff and rooftop deck are the highlights of staying at Cinco. The rooms (which are all condos) are great. You can rent boards directly from the hotel and can get access to kayaks and more in a matter of a few steps away from the hotel. The beach front is clean and well maintained. The only minor opportunity for improvement is at the gym. The weights are sufficient but cardio options are limited to one elliptical. I expect most guests hit the outdoors for exercise but my friends and I wanted to get a quick hard cardio workout and do some circuit training a couple of times during the stay and couldn't. A minor issue compared to the positives.

Beautiful location on the beach. Beautiful hotel when it was built. Rooms are condo like in size. Roof top bar staff and the assistant hotel mangager are fantastic. Manager of hotel only tells you what he thinks you want to hear. Very disappointed in the condition of the hotel and the many, many, many broken items throught our suite and the hotel grounds. Not quite as bad as The Exotic Marigold Hotel, but well on its way. A great value for our stay, but I would consider VRBO next time we stay in Punta Mita.

Relaxing stay at Hotel Cinco
We had a great time at hotel Cinco. The front desk staff (Horatio and Rodriguez) where so welcoming and truly helpful. They accomadated all our requests and helped us arrange activities. 2 thumbs up :)

Quiet and Relaxed
Great location on the beach in Punta Mita. The general condition of the hotel is slightly disappointing and neither of the pools or 'hottub' were heated during the stay, making them unusable. Staff were very pleasant and willing to help with general information on the area. Be aware Punta Mita is very small and there is little nightlife or local attractions - ideal if you wish to only relax and enjoy beach time.

Amazing!
Will definitely be coming back here! It was a very nice place, seemed new. It's more of an authentic Mexican tourist site but since I lived in Mexico during college my new wife and I fit right in and we loved it!
