Worst hotel and experience I’ve ever had. Checking in had to be the slowest process a hotel can possibly muster…a number of people “working” either chatting with friends or mysteriously doing something else. Took us over an hour to check in. Then of course they want to sell sell sell and it’s all about consumerism. Food quality was sub par, at best. It’s disgusting to be honest - I wouldn’t come anywhere near this hotel again if you paid me.
UPDATE: the rest of the stay remained the same despite the hotel staff upgrading us to Privilege due to our complaint. The room itself was ok but despite being a new hotel, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, the light in the closet flickered and the door to the room didn’t lock (this last one was later fixed). But the worst was what happened while leaving the hotel! Even though the staff that took a couple hours to check us in when we arrived charged us to the environmental tax, they tried to charge us again while checking out. We showed them that it had been deducted from our bank account but they refused to accept their own issue and threatened to not let us leave the hotel unless we paid them again - and then told us that we can then later file a complaint and ask for a refund! As if that would ever happen based on the incompetence they displayed while we were there, let alone what would happen if we now have to chase them all the way from London. The were rude and aggressive and honestly NO ONE SHOULD STAY IN THIS HOTEL EVER.
