This site was really close to all the shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. I really liked the no-contact check in, they text you when your room is ready and how to get in without having to actually go into the office, very convenient. The room was clean and cozy. Affordable, easy to reach stay in Tahoe.
The Alder Inn is very well located in South Lake Tahoe. Nice setting, very close to the beach and about a 30-minute walk to the stores and restaurants in Heavenly Village. Property seems a bit dated and it is a bit weird that there is no staff on-site. This did not hinder my stay however. The rooms could use a bit of an update, to bring them a bit more into 2024. But it was comfortable, rooms are spacious and it's very easy to get too.

check in was easy and room was clean. there was no A/C but a fan was provided. Its within walking distance down to the lake and restaurants which was nice. We also played a little cornhole while there. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back.
